Things I Think I Love; Things I Think I Hate

No offense to those who want voluptuous Taash, but if I (a woman) was a warrior, I'd want to have muscles and I'd want armor that protected my boobs rather than outlining them.

Meanwhile I think she's so attractive . . . high cheekbones, sculpted features, large eyes.🥰 But to each their own. There are four options for the straight dudes this time instead of two as in Inquisition, and all look pretty different, if looks are all that matter in your world.

Not sure I love anything.
I kinda like:
Hook as Pirate. I mean Rook.
The library to gather and plan reminds me of Buffy
The scenery looks quite nice
Sounds like the CC will be cool.
Troll dialogue possibly?
Rook as an ex magical embalmer.

What I don't like
Disco. Demon disco.Purple everywhere.
High magic. Having a hub in a fade dimension and having to travel everywhere by Eluvian.
Having BIgBrain Solas lecture me againI think I've suffered enough already.
Combat still looks boring as hell.
The first trailer Friendship is Magic made me feel like I need to brace myself for some serious cringe.
Past writers I enjoyed like Luke K. and Varric writer getting fired after spending like 25 years at Bioware.

Now, now, don't be mean. LI wars are all in good fun, and ultimately it comes down to different strokes for different folks. Which, as in real life, is fortunate. As a good friend of mine likes to say, whoever you are, you are someone's reason to **********—a surprisingly wholesome sentiment.

But so long as we're talking things we love/hate regarding companions, I think I may be most looking forward to Emmrich, since we haven't gotten a necromancer before or even an elderly man (Solas doesn't count). And I'm most weary of Lucanis. I fear he might turn out too edgy and broody for my taste.

I'll get back to you all about the loving and hating after I play the game after all looks are not everything personally and attitude play big role in that a beautiful woman is one thing but! what happens after you wed? she could turn into a total rear end as the tropes go

Environments (Especially Minrathrous)
Background and customization options for Rook
Linear mission based level design

Dislikes:
Demon design and enemy design in general (this can vary depending what we come across during the game)

Well, just remember there is the qualifier "think" to all this so I'm open to having my mind changed. I'm not gonna change my opinion of her appearance, but I could end up loving the character.

Love:

- Environments. I especially love how Minrathous has gothic and cyberpunk-ish vibe to it.
- The fact that we finally go to Northern Thedas.




Like:

- While I'd prefer the game to be less stylized and look similar to Anthem but i still like art direction for the most part.
- Being able to play as City Elf again.
- Transmog.

Things i'm cautiously optimistic about:

- Companions.
- Skill tree.
- Combat. I love fast paced action games with flashy animations but i have some concerns. Combat looked kinda "floaty". It doesn't necessarily mean that it will feel like that, tho. Having only 3 slots for abilities may or may not work.
- return of sarcastic dialogue options. I hope Rook can be as unhinged as purple Hawke.
- i like that Inquisitor will be in game, but the way Bioware handled Hawke in DAI left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope they will do better with Inquisitor.

Dislike:

- Ogre, shades and Pride demon redesign. Ogre in particular is very goofy. But i always found genlocks and hurlocks in DAO to be funyy looking, so it's not that big of a deal to me.
- the begining of the story is very similar to DAI.

Hate:

- No release date.

Yeah tbh I'm findin gmyself liking moer than I'm disliking about the game which is good.

Really? That would be very cool, I missed dual-wielding swords (or sword and dagger rather, hopefully that's possible as well).

+ "Rook".
It's a step up from "hey wanna grab a drink and relax tonight, The Inquistor?", I'll take anything over another chewy title.

+ Voice direction for the main character
In that gameplay reveal alone there was more liveliness in each and every conversation (despite never picking the fun answers neither) than in the entirety of a very long DAI - very random exceptions nonwithstanding. I say direction because that isn't the actors' fault.


- Decay of romance... in companion/romance stuff

I've been complaining about this since the last game, but I consider all this if we're honest, "unessential" information about companions and especially romance, simply major spoilers. There's no more playfulness to it. I remember actually discovering that stuff back in DAO / ME1, and being like, "wow are they into me? how are they going to respond if I risk saying this or that?" or these awesome moments in even older RPGs, when that cool NPC you met ACTUALLY JOINS THE GROUP HOW RAD IS THAT?
So rad you're still using the word rad, because you're from a time when that stuff was a treat to discover, long gone, rather than just another factual selling point bereft of wonder, an emotional horse armor DLC (but free, at least)
