My PC is slightly lower from recommend spec. SO I should play the game just fine. Question , Which graphic setting they use as recommend spec? Max setting with highest resolution? My resolution is 1600*900 or 1920*1080 Today I downlaod Final fantasy XVI demo to test if my PC can handle it (XVI require spec little higher than DATV).
I run at 1920*1080 with medium - high setting (on HDD). It can run the game fine with small freeze in some scene.
Hope I can run DATV more smooth than XVI.
That's kinda like me....I can run Horizon Forbidden West on mixed settings (Med, High, Very High) and it runs okay for me OR I do get better overall performance if everything is set to MEDIUM playing in 4K and getting an average of about 55 FPS But Ghost of Tsushima has very very similar spec/requirements....I can run that game pretty much maxed out in 4K and get the same if not higher average FPS.

I have a question for the knowledgeable about PC among us. I'm looking at a pc : Ryzen 7 5700X 8X 4.60 GHz, 16 Go DDR4 RAM 3000 MHz, 1TB SSD, RTX 4060 8Go. Will that do for Veilguard? I got a 1080p screen, I can live without RTX and a frame rate between 50/60 I'm okay with.

However, as a Glorious PC Master Race member, I have to point out that if you are buying a PC for long term (4+ years) I wouldn't currently go lower than a 4070 Super.
Rest of the specs are fine, although I wouldn't mind a bit more RAM and SSD space.

Thanks saandrigIt's for long term but I play most of my game on Cloud gaming these days. I know **60 is the lowest graphic card for gaming, I'm rocking a gtx760 from a decade ago. But it's pre build anything above a 4060 almost double the price. As an aside there's some weird shenanigans with certain BIOs , that I honestly really don't wanna bother with. https://www.reddit.com/r/dragonage/comments/1etbbsg/regarding_amd_cpus_on_windows_11_require_agesa_v2/
Does anybody understand that technical crap?

Does anybody understand that technical crap? I think the technical crap can be condensed down to "make sure your BIOS is up to date". Not everyone is comfortable with updating a PC's BIOS, which is very understandable, but it's gotten a bit easier on more recent motherboards. For example one of my Gigabyte mb's USB slots is labeled "BIOS" - you download the BIOS to a USB stick, make sure said stick is formatted the correct way, turn off your computer (but don't pull the power plug), insert the USB stick into the labeled port and wait a few minutes until the LED next to it stops blinking. Done. If you don't have any problems it should be fine to leave your BIOS alone though.

The requirements for ultra RT are horrendous again! 30fps with a 4080, wow... OK, for 4K but still. This is without DLSS, I hope.

Wow. "Average performance include use of optional upscaling."
I've got a 4070 Super. Haven't played any RT titles so far, though I'll be playing the Dead Space remake later this month. I'll be interested to see just how heavy the RT will be in DAV. Bioware has never really been one to push the graphics in their games but the RT requirements are steep. This is looking pretty heavy though.

I would think so. I think in July, they showed a NVIDIA PC Raytracing trailer and with DLSS on, it was showing 100+ fps. That is certainly DLSS 3 + Frame Generation. Frame Generation can add a lot of extra frames, at a cost of latency, though.

That is an old i9 for recommended (9th gen?). Many current i7s are much faster if CPU benchmarks are to be believed. Does this mean my i7-9700K will run it on recommended? All my other stuff seems to be fine.

You probably still can run the game, but CPU heavy sections might get rough.

You probably know that even a 4090 has a hard time reaching 25 FPS in CP2077 at 4k Path Tracing without DLSS or FG.
And the tiny text below the requirements says "optional upscaling", so the RT stuff is most likely with using DLSS/FSR. Which, I say again - would make sense if it's Path Tracing. If it's not Path Tracing, then wow, sounds unoptimized.

Does this mean my i7-9700K will run it on recommended? All my other stuff seems to be fine. Should be fine most of the time. Unless you up the graphics too much. If you have a 4000 series card, you can use Nvidia's Frame Generation, which eases up a lot of stuff for the CPU.
I haven't heard if the game will support the FSR3 Frame Generation, but if it does, then you can use that if your GPU is not a 4000 series.

Hm. I don't even know my PC specs tbh, to me it's like you guys are speaking in tongues or something. But coincidentally I upgraded it like right before DAV's trailer dropped, for unrelated reasons. I usually just call my best gay nerd, I'm like "Gay nerd, come help a b*tch out. Gimme a machine I'm undeserving of!" - and he did, and apparently I'll be able to run DAV all at ultra settings 4K and smooth as butter. Kind of a waste, though (I prefer consoles). So, I'm more interested to know if there are any (visual) downgrades to Fidelity Mode on the Series X vs. a high-end PC, 'cause that could change my mind. I can be awfully nitpicky when it comes to graphics and stuff. But the point is: everyone needs a tech gay in their lives. They know computers like they know d1ck, it's amazing. #GaysOfOurLives

Usually the best Series X visuals are noticeably worse than what you can get with medium PC settings. Sometimes the Series X has to use certain settings that look worse than the lowest corresponding setting on PC. Meaning that if on PC you can go no lower than "Low" on something (like Shadows), the Series X has to have that option built in as "Very Low" in order for the game to run.
Consoles are also stuck with using FSR upscaling, which produces a clearly inferior image compared to DLSS (for people on Nvidia RTX cards).
So you should think of the Series X as using mostly Low PC settings, some Very Low and a few on maybe Medium. With the extra splash of that vaseline smeared image blur and motion artifacts - courtesy of FSR.

Ouch! 😱 PC it is, then. I know that DAI had it baaad on consoles… 1080p with upscaling, if I recall correctly? But back then, I didn’t play on the PC at all, so it wasn’t even an option. I’d heard that DAV’s been optimized for every system + the Blighted Dragon trailer which was on PS5, I was kinda hopeful there wouldn’t be much of a downgrade. Good to know, thank you!

But the point is: everyone needs a tech gay in their lives. They know computers like they know d1ck, it's amazing. Where do I get one of those? My brother and his husband are totally useless when it comes to tech I had to build my computer with the help of internet forums and youtube videos instead. Somehow that ended up being the best computer I ever had.

So what's this I hear about the Requirements actually being a 12900K with a 4080 and 16Gb RAM for DaV?
I was operating under the impression that it was a 9900K with a 2070. So here I am all giddy that my PC will actually be able to handle the game in 4K. Maybe not with "EVERYTHING SUPER ULTRA Settings with RTX at Maximum!" kind of handle it but run things as I always have in 4K (Mixed High and Ultra zsettings no RTX) And getting 55 to 60+ FPS.
And they firmly said Recommended Settings were a 9900K and 2070. They didnt at fjrst mention anything about Low, Med, Recommended, High and Ultra categories...at least not to my knowledge.
I wonder if I should be worried.
