Apparently, Ghilain'nan is not a cute shy elf with white hair and antlers. I don't know what to do with this information. Maybe underneath that mask and tentacles she's a cute and shy Elf, we just need to gain her affection somehow. #icanfixher

It feels like no matter how many tricks Bioware pulls out of the hat, some people have already made up their minds—they don’t like what they see. These are the ones who will find a single pixel to complain about, arguing the company didn’t color it the way they wanted. What i find very funny: I have posted a video with darker DA:TV scene on steam and first little reaction with 3 persons reacted surprised. Then i ask if they are to shy for giving feedback and than they try to make excuses. So i hope this kind of videos at least get to some people with no wall around their hearts.

So Ghilan'nain has Blighted dragons and 'true' Archdemons since they can generate a real Calling. She can travel/teleport via Blight pools/puddles and create/generate Darkspawn from said pools/puddles. Also note she can command/order Darkspawn herself without her Archdemon being nearby. Not to mention turning into a cloud to block out the sun and demoralise the opposition. Wonder how Elgar'nan compares and what group of enemies he commands. Yeah Elgar'nan (first elven god )is supposed to be worst than Ghilan'nain (new god) ...I need to lie down. All hail Big Daddy! Honestly, we knew it was going to be bad. Even the Dalish know you don't want to mess with him. All the others sound really nice and helpful in their lore but not Elgar'nan. I still think he was the voice at the very end of the 2023 trailer "Everyone will know the peace and comfort of my reign." If that wasn't said in ancient times then presumably our peace and comfort will come from either being turned into darkspawn or nuked. That's why we need a plan. A good plan.

I was thinking how Elgar'nan scared the dwarves so bad...a lot of them still hold to a culture that force them underground. It's like they never crawled from under the bed. For thousand and thousands of years.

I'm going to worship our new Queen from...afar. If we can't even manage to put down one dragon correctly, resistance is futile. Also wonder when that happens. From the companions that are their at least Act 2. Because we get some of them at the end of Act 1.

people have been complaining about the over saturation of UI. I do recall they mentioning being able to toggle them off, but I could be wrong. You are right. They have show us here the option with less UI.

For thousand and thousands of years. I'm so hoping that it will be Kal-Sharok that hold the key to defeating him, though. Remember how they destroyed Cad'Halash for helping the elves and I'm convinced it wasn't simply they didn't want to upset Tevinter. King Stonehammer had already moved the capital of the dwarves south to Orzammar before the war between Tevinter and the elves of Arlathan. I think Kal-Sharok had an old grudge against the elves because their Memories have not been tampered with and somewhere deep within them lies the truth. Did Stonehammer move to the major mining thaig in the south because Tevinter wanted lyrium and the leaders of Kal-Sharok objected? Is the reason they hated the elves because they knew what they did to the Titans? Then when Orzammar abandoned them to the Blight, they survived. Why? Did they have the aid of a Titan that kept the darkspawn away? Why didn't they let anyone know they had survived until the Dragon Age? There has to be some big secret there. Incidentally, those strange dwarves we met in the Descent weren't Blighted were they? They had some interesting powers as well.

We have more clips of that "mission/encounter" in the release date trailer Ghilan'nain end-up hit by a ballista and Elgar'nan shows up to help her out.
I think they have hidden something in both trailers. Rook and cie defeating two archdemons, a none stop horde of darkspawns and two ancient Elven gods with just a few Wardens doesn't make much sense to me. At the start they thought it would only be the dragon.
But i guess the scene with elgar'nan come in to help and one dragon dead belong after this scene.
Also in an other video with the first warden, they speak about a dragon killer. Maybe that kills the dragon.

I feel I am going to get my ass kicked multiple times with some of these battles. Same here. I expect to constantly get my hind end handed to me on a platter by a bunch of darkspawn and because I'm wired this way, I know I'll play the game on every difficulty. Side note: I could never manage Origins on anything but the easy mode. So I expect to die a lot.

I will always be in the "I want smarter enemy AI but not bullet/arrow/sword/magic sponges" camp so will try to customize the difficulty in that direction the best I can.

Combat is looking amazing. Some minor nostalgia aside, I've always favored more fluid and real-time combat (like in MEA, combat was great). Even back in DAO, I'd set up Tactics for my companions, and when executed correctly, that felt satisfying - but I didn't like switching to companions so much and making them do stuff. I do have some criticism and I've been vocal about it plenty, but that's natural and expected, the game wasn't tailored specifically for me, so I'm not gonna love absolutely every single detail. The overall experience looks incredibly fun, however.
First time I saw the Mage's Block/Bubble, I might have ovulated. The ability to block incoming attacks using magic, in real-time, is something I've always wanted. Just looking at how combat has evolved throughout the games is kinda awesome. I love it.^^

Still think they should implement something like a "training area" in the Lighthouse, something simple with waves of enemies so we could test out builds and synergies and all that stuff - as opposed to like, figuring it all out on the go and respec'ing a lot. DAI's MP, if nothing else, made you really good in combat, to the point I could only play Nightmare and even that didn't feel super challenging, at times. Veilguard would benefit from such a feature.

I think this is the first time I've actually sat and paid attention to any of the combat for this game. I can really see the GOW influence thatI think I read about somewhere out there in the ether. With that in mind, Ghilain'nan is reminding me of the Valkyries from that game. Would be super fun if a boss fight with Ghilly was like the boss fight with the Queen Valkyrie, Sigrun. ... I am lying. It would not. I would cry as I put the game down to the easiest mode again and still take about 20 attempts to do it. Ghilain'nan is sounding really familiar to me I wonder who is voicing them.

MP is a great way to git gud, as they say. You become just super aware and do things out of instinct, know every combo, every passive and the ins and outs of combat. Not to mention, you get to test out ability kits in advance and figure out what skills and playstyle you like best.

Random but I'm somewhat obsessed with the Scottish warden in the trailer. Love his voice and look.
