This is simply how "Virmire Survivor" responds. Kaidan is the same in ME2. I agree, though, that Shepard would likely have reacted the same way if Ashley had been the one to join Cerberus. Still, I think some actual communication - from Anderson, Hackett and one another - would have gone a long way. Heck, if Shepard even replied to the message sent after Horizon it could have altered things on Mars. How different would that scene, on Horizon, played out if T'soni told the Alliance that Shepard's corpse is in the hands of Cerberus, assuming they tell A/K? The problem is that as soon as the word Cerberus is mentioned, A/K forgot about the collectors and focused on Cerberus If my Shepard knew A/K were working with Cerberus, she might join them to deal with the collectors and to help find a way to stop the reapers since the Alliance isn't doing anything. This is ultimately one of my biggest gripes with Liara overall in the series. Even if not romanced or if you hated her, she is the only one willing to get Shepard's corpse. And if you romanced Kaidan or Ashley, her not telling the Virmire survivor is wrong on so many levels. Though I personally think Kaidan mistrusting Cerberus works better because he seems like a very by the book Alliance soldier. Can't really see him working for Cerberus. Even Ash is a bit of a stretch.

Hey, I was just going to say "hi!" to the Ashley Williams group from the old BSN that moved here! I hope life is treating you all well.

Ashmancer here She was always my favorite LI but it was a shame that they have shown her the cold shoulder in ME3 Sadly, they also never fixed certain bugs with her in that game either But still enjoyed it nevertheless...Though I wished she looked liked that in ME3

I like to see girls with shotguns. Its why a lot of my female characters in multiplayer are equipped with shotguns. Seeing Ashley with a puny Phalanx? It just doesn't work as well.

Would you carry a full arsenal off duty?

I'll say, my Shepard romanced Ash all the way, turned down Liara and Tali, never even considered being with another woman (or man for that matter) and was it worth it? Yes, I think it was. They went through a hell of a lot, good and bad, but at the end, like at the beginning, they were side by side where they belonged.
And at the end of the day, two Spectres are better than one.

Didn't think I could like Ash any more, but then I saw the video of her rejecting Shepard' s suggestion of being with both her and Liara. "In your dreams, Commander" That's my girl!

Just want to get your thoughts, regarding an upcoming update to the Ashley Warpack (sometime in the new year): Anything you would alter or change? I am trying to create an armour that would reflect what an experienced marine would modify/add to their armour, over the course of their experience (Night vision, components from other armour suits, extra ammo/supply pouches). I've always felt the vanilla blue hardsuit was a little too...meh. Do let me know what you think:

Alliance infantry supposedly has - on top of a full sensor suite that may or may not include NODs in the helmet itself - basic implants. Now I can't remember where I saw it (I think it was the Shadow Broker dossiers, but the Wiki claims Ash doesn't have one)
I suggest researching that, but if I'm right (and Ash should have an implant that makes her vision 20/20, among other things) she might have night vision as either part of the implant, or the helmet. It certainly makes little sense for the Alliance to have addon NODs with their technological level.

Serza : Ashley received "genetic enhancements including in-utero vision correction (maternal predisposition for nearsightedness) and the Class-B Alliance Infantry Upgrade Package". As to whether Ashley (or any Alliance personnel) could have received gene therapy that could have granted them night vision, there are some counterpoints: - Tapetum lucidum: This a layer of tissue in the eye that lies behind the retina, of many animals (except humans). It reflects visible light back through the retina, increasing the light available to the photoreceptors (although slightly blurring the image).
- Genetic Therapy Regulations: The Alliance has strict genetic therapy laws - modification of natural ones is alright, but the acquisition of new ones is illegal. So Ashley would have definatly received therapy that boosted her endurance, strength, reflexes, etc.. But nothing that would have granted her night vision
- Cost Effectiveness: Even if the Alliance military decided to skirt the law and start implanting apetum lucidum, into Alliance soldiers, it would not be very cost effective. Many armed forces are influenced by how cost-effective their equipment this, and in the ME universe, an NOD would be effective (and less likely to cause organic damage) than having to modify a soldier
- Umbra Visor: Even with all the latest armour, Shepard still uses the Umbra Visor. This implied that even in the ME universe, there is still utility to an NOD/li]
That being said, you do have some points. I'll try and modify the Umbra visor a bit more to see if I can't 'imply' that its more of an extension of the helmet's own feature.

Yeah, that's the one.
Still, it makes sense for them to have HUD-based NODs. Unfortunately, I don't think they ever touch on that, as even during dark levels, Shepard just turns on a god damn flashlight.
Maybe tweet the devs? Or if Art of MET is same as WoT volumes, research in that? I am at a loss to solutions here, actually.
What else I remember, however, is that Garrus' visor has NV, IR, LADAR, and a few other modes. That one is actually sourced in the Shadow Broker files.

You are onto something. This combined with the fact that Ash's helmet goes through a lot of interaction, especially on Mars (gets grabbed by EVA and then damaged), I'll rein in my helmet modifications.

Hi Survivor, big fan of your Ash warpacks, I never go into combat without them combined with ELE08's Ashley Legacy Project assets. Anyway, I know I'm late to the party here, but I like your idea for some helmet based NODs, something like this would look great in my opinion.
