Imagine if the Ash thread weren't entirely about Liara and the Collectors? It'd probably be better to transfer those posts to Liara's thread. SofaJockey Imagine if Shepard was givien the opportunity to tell Ashley, in ME3, that the asari knew about Shepard's corpse being in the hands of Cerberus. I know my Shepard would help Williams throw the asari out the airlock with Javik nodding his head in approval. excellent Then he and Ash could write a book together.

Since Ash herself is being ignored in this thread, he's something related. It would have been nice to get something similar to this on console as an "alternate appearance" like some of the armor options there were. I've thought about getting the PC version for the mods, but I really don't want to deal with EA Origin, or whatever it is now.

Well this is kinda disappointing. I wanted to do a run where I romanced Ash in ME3 only. I succeeded in avoiding romancing her but yet still being pleasant in ME1. I was expecting some interesting and new dialogue in ME3. I get the obligatory ones when you are just friends with her, which were nice. But then it seems that most of the other scenes play out exactly the same.
Ash reacts mostly the same to you regardless of if you are friends or lovers. I was expecting a few different things because Kaidan has them if you are just friends with him and then go on to romance him in ME3. The memorial scene is the weirdest so far. There has been no real flirting or anything going on. But when I get there and choose the paragon option, Shepard holds her hands as if they are in love. Weird.
If the scene where I ask her out doesn't change, I'll abandon this run altogether. Its just more proof they didn't spend as much time on Ash as Kaidan (I guess they had to since he is bisexual). I will just stick with romancing her from ME1. Because a lot of these scenes with her make a lot more sense if she is your girl from the start.

Just a final addendum on the Ash romance in ME3 only. It is SUPER disappointing. Literally NOTHING changes (the only difference is the screen blacks out after Ash says "you love it" instead of them kissing) when it comes to the scene at the citadel. None of the lines change (unlike Kaidan) at all. The scenes don't come off well because of this. Romancing Ash through the entire trilogy is the only thing that makes sense if you want her. Trying to go for her in ME3 only was a waste of time. It feels super lazy since Kaidan romance only in ME3 can come off natural and making sense. This is really lame. I just quit the run instead. I can't imagine any of the lines changing later on.

I was actually thinking about her ME3 hair. On reflection, I get it. It's not just that it doesn't fit with the Ash we've known since ME1 but that it would be terrible in a fight. Her hair flopping all over the place, getting in her face. From a military standpoint it's impracticable. I think a mod exists out there to give her ME1 hair.

Then again, marines get some kind genetic enhancement so who knows what that allows. Perhaps hair is made to be stiff and unmovable?

Plus I imagine the gravity of a self-destruction space station would be less than that of a planet's.

lol @ seriously(ish) discussing what is really engine limitations.
Ashley was too bad. I wouldn't mind if they used the hair-down model to reflect another side of her when off-duty, but that's it.
But unlike the memers, I didn't take it too badly. Mass Effect has always had its cheese, even if through ME2-ME3 it had more than I'd like (MEA was actually a downgrade there thankfully!, outside of unintentional stumbles and the 'too cheery' character behavior).
I do feel for the Jersey Shore critisizers that started ME3 and see a musclebound tight-shirted guy with a heeled and makeuped Ashley in the same early scene.

The amount of anger everytime I play Shepard as I go to Me3 the romance in that game was so non existant. I just hate how bioware didn't even give any thought to the romance between Ash and Shepard. It makes me sad because Ash is my fave female romance character outta all of the characters in the game. It really breaks my heart for my John Shepard.

"I wear armour into battle, not swimwear" - Ashley Williams Version 7 of the Ashley Warpack is finally out (apologies for the delays):www.nexusmods.com/masseffect3/mods/453New Changes:- Ajax Armour moved to second armour slot (Ashley 01 PCC)
- Added the Griffon Armour set (Ashley 00 PCC)
- Fixed the weapon sockets on Terminus and Spectre armour (Ashley 02 and Ashley 03 PCC)
- Main file now have 3x variants
Variants packaged in Main File Download:- "w Legacy Edition": Version of the Warpack that utilize the face and hair assets from ELE08's Ashley Legacy mod
- "w Combat Bun": Version of the Warpack that utilizes the Ashley's combat bun (from ME2) and vanilla face
- "w Default Hair": Version of the Warpack that utilizes the default hair and face assets
The Ashley Warpack is a set of helmet-enabled, battle ready hard-suits for Ashley Williams that replaces the default 'catsuits' used for combat: - Griffon Armour (Ashley 00, +25% Weapon Damage): Say goodbye to impractical dress-suits, Ashley now dons a customized armour-suit, dubbed the 'Griffon' armour. Assembled from components from armouries across the galaxy, this armour is perfect for when Ashley finds herself in a firefight
- Ajax Armour (Ashley 01, +25% Weapon Damage): Rumored to have been derived from captured Cerberus equipment, Ashley's dons a modified version of the Ajax combat suit which boosts her firepower
- Terminus Assault Armour (Ashley 02, +25% Shield Strength): Ashley dons the Terminus Assault, an environmentally sealed armour with an independent air supply for use in space and extreme planetary conditions, perfectly suited for the diverse environments demanded by the Reaper War
- Heavy Spectre Armour (Ashley 03, +25% Power Recharge Bonus): Forged by the Hahne-Kedhar Shadow Work's best engineers, this armour proves that humanity takes the responsibility of having a Spectre very seriously.
- Universal marksman patch for ALL of Ashley's combat instances
Install Instructions:1. Copy from the "DLC_CON_AshWar" folder, from your chosen variant folder, to inside the "...BIOGame\DLC" folder 2. If you haven't yet, copy the files INSIDE the "Warranty Voider's DLLs" folders to the "...Binaries\Win32" folder 3. You may need to update your TOCs, via me3explorer's TOC suite or ME3MM's TOC module. 4. Enjoy! FAQ1. Does this mod supersede other Ashley combat mods?Yes. That being said, it is compatible with most of the Ashley mods out there (i.e. it won't cause the game to stall or crash) 2. Does this mod affect Ashley's non-combat situations (i.e. On the Normandy, Citadel-hospital, dating scenes, etc.)No. Don't worry, if you made/utilized any modifications to these files, they will remain. 3. I installed this mod, but now the game takes forever to start-upUpdate your TOC, via Me3explorer's TOC suite. 4, Do I need additional files, in order to use this game?Yes, you'll need Warranty Voider's modified DLLs.Don't worry these have been packaged with the download. 5. Why did you swap the Ajax Armour to the second/Ashley 01 PCC slot?Because that is the armour that Ashley wears by default on Mars. I was too selfish to see my beloved Griffon Armour get banged up on its first outing

Hey folks, how's everybody doing, still playing the original trilogy? I haven't played the games in years, but still like to come back here now and then. I think I'm starting to repeat myself now, posted a similar message earlier in this thread.
Maybe one day we'll get a remastered trilogy or a ME5 'The return of Shepard'(make it happen Bioware, seriously). Said it many times before but I still believe it could work especially with how Andromeda tanked.
Ash better be in it though.

I just finished a Trilogy run the other day and romanced Ashley, as usual. I like some of the other romances and even if I don't romance Ashley, I still enjoy having her in the squad.
The last time I played the Trilogy was at least six months before Andromeda was released, so its been a while. I always enjoy it though.
I would like to see another ME but, we'll see what happens.

I like to see a remastered trilogy as well.
Shepard returning can happen. It depends on what Bioware wants to do.

When I play the MET as BroShep I have him romance Ashley nearly every time because there's a lot of me in Ashley's character - her personal development grew through her new team's friendships, and her story parallels my personal experience. It knocked me crazy that the "creative writers" for ME-3 short-shrifted her character in ME-2/3 and especially weakened her romance with Male Shep in ME-3. I have played full trilogy play-throughs with a Male Shep in separate romances with Tali and Jack, and both were satisfying, but I wanted a amazing love story between Ashley and Shepard. I love the character relationships far more than the combat. (My FemShep is only attracted to Garrus) I know Ashley has her critics (the schmucks) and isn't popular in the polls around here - but I blame this circumstance on the writers and their poor character development for Ashley in ME-2/3. I can't fault Ashley's later character because she wasn't properly developed in ME-2/3 correctly. I loved her in ME-1. I wish the BW writing team for Ashley would have invited me to improve on what they developed for her. IF there is a real game developed for the continuation of the MET (Andromeda wasn't it), and if Shepard survives (destroy ending as canon), I would like to see Ashley return (voiced by Kimberly Brooks, of course) and well-featured in the story. Hell, I'd like to play as Ashley for my protagonist avatar, but I know she would never be a playable character or the protagonist. What I'd really love to have BW create is an ME-2 or ME-3 DLC, or a stand-alone side story, released with Ashley as the protagonist, similar to Liara's Shadow Broker DLC. I'd like to know what happened to her from the point after ME-1 ended until she meets Shepard on Horizon. I'll start writing that screenplay this summer, I think. Lol Anyone have the contact info for Drew Karpyshyn? Lol.
IDEA: If Shepard is dead, then maybe the new ME-4 Protgonists can be the player's choice of either: Ashley, Kaiden, Garrus, or ?????. Now that would be cool (to me). And stay in the Milky Way galaxy... please!

Part of the problem with Ashley, and some other stuff, was that a few of the writers left part way into the production of ME2. It kind of left just an outline of where some plots would develop and how the characters would develop too. With characters having their writers switched, there really was no hope for consistency. What I'd really love to have BW create is an ME-2 or ME-3 DLC, or a stand-alone side story, released with Ashley as the protagonist, similar to Liara's Shadow Broker DLC. I think that the best option for a return to the Milky Way, while maintaining the Trilogy setting and characters, is to not directly use Shepard. Tell the stories of Ashley, Garrus, etc. between ME1-2. Or you are a settler/ explorer/ mercenary trying to make a living and is set sometime before ME3. You can still hear about Shepard and crew, but it is nothing specific; stuff like "Cmdr. Shepard repulsed a Geth attack on Feros" or "There are reports that Cmdr. Shepard was on Horizon during an attack by unknown enemies." Shepard and events are acknowledged, but it is nothing specific so it would probably lessen the "that wasn't MY choice!"
And if you do start writing, feel free to share!

It kind of left just an outline of where some plots would develop and how the characters would develop too. With characters having their writers switched, there really was no hope for consistency. That might be true, but why do other characters not suffer from this issue? Garrus, Tali, and especially Liara (unfortunately) seem to be written with more care and consistency. Even her counter part Kaidan doesn't suffer from this either. But Ashley seems to be the only one who has gotten it noticeably bad. Her one Citadel scene is pretty awful because it barely changes at all. And that scene is not romantic or endearing in the slightest. Compare it to the scenes with nearly every other aforementioned character. This is just one of several examples. I know this is likely more consistent with her character. But her stubborn and prideful behavior when referring to the events on Horizon are a real turn off. She acts like she wasn't wrong at all and doesn't seem apologetic about it at all. I still dislike that myself and could contribute to the fact why Ashley might be less popular than most in ME3. But she makes up with it by being more upset about the loss of Kaidan among other things. I still wish she got better treatment in ME3 than what we got for her.

Part of the problem with Ashley, and some other stuff, was that a few of the writers left part way into the production of ME2. It kind of left just an outline of where some plots would develop and how the characters would develop too. With characters having their writers switched, there really was no hope for consistency. Some of the other characters didn't have their main writer change or, as you mentioned, she is less popular. Part of her character is to be more of a hard line Alliance soldier, which sometimes puts her at odds with what some players want (like Garrus or Liara, always there and rarely questions your decisions).
I would say Jacob was far worse than Ashley was. They didn't even give him a chance, just wrote any romance with him out.
For some of her more "personal" scenes I still think it was a combination of different writers not sure how to write her, and thinking the knew some of the communities opinion of her. But knowing that other characters were far more popular.
