True but Ash is my favorite romance because she actually challenges Shepard, and her lack of constant hero worship(ie Tali, Liara, and Garrus to an extent). I only played Femshep try out the Liara romance because I tend to have a easier time RPing a female as her own character, where as with a male I tend to RP characters as an extension of myself. And I really want to go off on Liara for her stalker tendencies when playing male shep.

Might do a second run as femshep and try Sam's romance.

Legacy mod Ashley, it uses her facial textures from ME2

My OG Bae....it cannot be. She fell....through fire...and water. Why do I see her here, before me? When I know she long ago ascended to walk amongst the Starlight. All these years I struggled to accept that I could only see her through a wisp of memory...yet here she is, in her radiance...returned at last to me far too late to alter the destiny denied to us both. She was the one who was meant to be yet could never be due to powers beyond our Ken...I suppose I have very little else to say, other than thank you, for allowing the world to look upon her true divinity, one last time... 

Started a Legendary!run at Friday.
My Shep: male / spacer / war hero / infiltrator / paragon run / standard face

I'm glad I can do another adventure with my favorite game trilogy. Right now my Shep's doing the Noveria mission. Combat system got massively improved and yet isn't at the same level as ME2!combat. It's okay and feels way less dated, I guess, but it's also still somewhat clunky.
So far, game graphics got greatly improved and yet the game itself is still the same one from 2007. It still has the same somewhat slow start (if you do a completionist run, it still takes 5 hours from beginning to first take-off from the Citadel) and still has some less detailled level designs (Noveria got improved, but still feels bare bones, for instance).

And Ash?
Looks gorgeous in remaster. She still has the bugged "can't tell the aliens from the animals" line. No new dialogue lines for her as well, but I guess that's okay. After all, it's "just" a remaster, not a entirely new game, so no new stuff I guess. And ME1 already got massively improved way more than what a normal remaster would do.

I really wish you could romance her in MELE. I always romance Liara because apparently, I'm the only one who doesn't find her annoying, but I really wish they would have removed gender restrictions from romances. I don't know the way modders make this possible, but if they can, BW can.

Well uh, the way the mods worked was weird like... I don't remember much but I remember it being very glitchy the one time I did it. I also think my femshep had a maleshep voice for the scenes lol

This was definitely something I was wanting in the remaster. Ashley is my favorite squaddie and my favorite romance but I don't like playing as dude shep. Being able to romance her as femshep would have been the dream.

The game thinks you're the opposite gender when you use the romance mod resulting in characters treating you as the opposite gender. Like in this video, because Mark Meer recorded all of Shepard's lines including lines for FemShep he now responds to Harkin using FemShep's dialogue

Not being able to romance Ash as Fem!Shep is basically the sole reason why I have no Fem!Shep playthroughs. More or less.

For me, Ashley is the "logical" choice for a male Shepard. Same species, similar ideas and approaches, they have a lot of common ground (especially if Shep's a war hero). Under normal circumstances, things would work out and Ash & Shep would found a family some time later. We know things won't work out and even in best ending, Shepard may not fully recover to enjoy a life with Ashley.

I started my 2nd ME3 run except I had Ashley instead of Kaidan

There is a new xVASynth tool where it is possible to generate dialogue lines for characters from several games, including Mass Effect. Maybe some day we'll finally see that "afterlife" conversation.

Btw, i there a way to conclude the romance with Ashley in ME1, close it and open smtg with liara that u can conclude in the lair of the hadow broker ?
Seems impossible, but i remember being completionnist with females NPC in ME2 and that would mean romancing liara in ME1.
