Omg I completely forgot. NEITHER of these are any of the Ryders. My fears are calmed lol. I would really not like if what gender our first companion is automatically the opposite of ours. But that doesn't look like the case.

Oh my god. It's going to be another game of taking my romance companion with me everywhere and then ip dip do-ing to decide who else gets to grace us with their presence. No complaints XD

The worst thing for me it's the icon, that icon it's intriguing, if he turns out to be just the "usual" gorgeous guy, Kaidan-style, I'm going to be so disappointed ...

Totally agreed on that last point.  It's super annoying that they keep forcing googly eyes from Ashley when you play as a MShep.  That whole "Oops, I almost got sucked in by the beacon" scene could simply be redone as "<SELECT SQUAD MEMBER>, stand guard at the beacon while I radio the Normandy."  This way you still get the plot point, but it doesn't force it with only the opposite gender squaddie.  Or, simply make it just one person regardless of which PC you play as.  It's always Ashley who does this.  That type of thing.

But, if they don't show him before the game, think of all the people that will get heart attacks and things like that when they start the game.
That will not be good pr for Bioware: "5000 people have died when they started playing Mass Effect: Andromeda".

Don't worries about it, just the women are ugly in Bioware games, this is canonical.

Right? I wasn't even particularly interested in him in the beginning (I thought he sorta sounded like a human version of Garrus - not that that's a bad thing, but it didn't exactly spark my enthusiasm), but now... after all this waiting? Give me my Liam Bioware. The longer you make me wait, the higher my expectations. Like, if he's anything less than an Adonis with glorious hair and a swoon-worthy voice and the coolest personality ever I'm going to feel let down. Of course then he'd better be a bi romance option, else people are going to be doubly pissed.
