Add on a real end boss in one or more maps, would be cool with a fight that require a bit more effort and co-ordination than just mindlessly killing easy mode Banshees etc). Like add a few Javelin Geth Hunters with AI knowing how to pierce cover and walls. Or Super Banshee chasing down her warp ball and detonate biotic combo on victim with the scream.

This info is pulled from Shinobi602, a known insider from Game Informer who is currently doing a hands-on game session as I am typing this.... he keeps updating what new information he can.......This is what he has seen from the new multiplayer: Multiplayer -More evolved and refined form of ME3 -Card based economy where you earn XP and credits -There are microtransactions but no real world money is required, you can unlock normally -You still set the map, enemy, as before but you can also activate modifiers that can give you decreased health (for greater reward) or more damage (less reward) -Bioware also plans to release custom crafted missions with unique modifiers that players can't change themselves -These custom missions give you a 3rd currency, "mission funds" which allow you directly purchase items and weapons vs the mercy of random card packs; however these items are only available for a limited time in the store and can change often -In MP, you play as the "Apex Force", a militia strike team from the Nexus -Different enemies require you to use different tactics (some are shield heavy, some use heavy biotics etc) -Playing MP will have advantages for the single player but it absolutely does not affect the ending of the game -New "Prestige" mechanic added: With several types of characters, you earn regular XP and prestige XP. The prestige XP goes into every character of that 'type', for example 'tanky' characters. Earning enough prestige can grant you added health for all tank characters, etc. Here is the link to the thread he updates by the hour: www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1309671

Mostly I just want to be able to teabag other players' corpses. If a player dies repeatedly at the first of every wave you should be able to drop trowel and urinate on their corpse. 😂😂

It is going to be like Dragon Age Inquisition: you hit level XX, you promote and gain permanent status. At first it looks like there is no harm. Eight months later you have players with god-like broken status who laugh at bosses and make the matches seem like a joke.

I only started playing ME3 this year. I really only progressed to a decent level (like playing Silver and not dying endlessly) at the MP in probably August.
I use an Enterprise class PC which happens to have decent integrated graphics.
I really don't care about Andromeda. I'll live with an almost broken game single player and multiplayer wise compared to a money grab fourth installment into a franchise that at one point was all about ending one singular threat for the entire galaxy.
I think some friends of mine won't make the transition either. Or they will. But I won't. I'll solo, or get back into the trenches in bronze, find someone to uplift, and then build an army. Yeah, that sounds pretty dope.

Lord help us all if the prestige mechanic is anything close to DAMP where people eventually became invincible due to promotion grinding. I really hope that won't be the case. Sounds like it already is the case. Dumbest idea ever.

There should be at least a tiny boost for prestiging I always think: even if it's miniscule.

It'll finally be nice to have something to show for my 10k+ N7 points, other than this giant swinging dong of course No, trust me, you don't want that. So, your N7 is 10K means you promoted 500 times. Let's assume that every time you get a permanent +5 hit points and that a third of your promotions do give that bonus. That means you have about 800 extra hp. Base human soldier hp is 500. So, you essentially more than double his health. That will trivialize gold and put a huge dent on platinum. There were some people in DAI-MP, including SpaceV3gan, who farmed promotions for months playing 18 hours a day and who would probably get 10x your N7 in 6 months. That means their level 1 human soldier will get ... what ... about 8K hit points. Now, that would trivialize platinum completely. So, they will have to bump the difficulty by creating some diamond level when everything hits you twice as hard and has 5x hit points. To make people play it, they will have to put 0.1% chance of drop of some special uber-mega weapon that trivializes this diamond level. And in order to keep the casuals going on bronze and silver, they will buff their shields and damage so that they can play their level 1 on gold as well so that they can promote more and easier. Unfortunately, it did not work for DAI-MP and it won't work for Andromeda. People just play a few repetitive grindy games with some promotion lords and quit because it is boring. After all, the only long term goal that works and attracts people is that each and everyone makes a difference for the mission, there is minimal grind, and the game play is enjoyable. The attractiveness must be in the game play not in the rewards it gives. If it is not, nothing works. Actual game play in DAI-MP was not too bad but the grind, region lock, evil store, and eventual re-balance due to promotion lords ruined it completely for most of the people. I'm not even talking about key glitch that was not fixed for 3 months and affected about a third of all games.

I just did the promotions for the Challenge. Was a totally legit, only 60 promotions level 1920, but then goof'd Silence Nihlus so bad that now I'm 1950.
....
Hey Aresh, this N7 promotion thing is a dump. We were promised credits, but this game feature is a waste.

Your math is off, I've only promoted 330 times. Anyways, I don't know why so many ME3MPers are jumping on the doom-and-gloom train, it's Mass Effect we're talking about here. I'm sure that they've had plenty of feedback as to what people liked and didn't like about the ME3MP and DAMP systems, and I have little doubt that whatever MEAMP ends up being like, I'll find it pretty enjoyable.

I'm imagining something like a GI melee build with more shields than a juggernaut. I really cant see any possible scenario that the prestige wont ruin MP entirely.
Not to mention it totally punishes new players. If you buy the game 6 months later you will forever be nerfed in mp compared to everyone else.

I'm sure that they've had plenty of feedback as to what people liked and didn't like about the ME3MP and DAMP systems, and I have little doubt that whatever MEAMP ends up being like, I'll find it pretty enjoyable. Uh, no, they had their feedback from the forum and from the beta-patch/DLC testing-rebalance part of the forum and did not give a damn about it. Moreover, they closed the program earlier than they should have and did not change anything important and eventually even closed the whole forum itself. So, that feedback was wasted. There were some more or less reasonable people there like Luke who at least tried to talk to the community and even asked Wavebend to test some things privately but these things were never implemented. Otherwise, no and no. Wavebend did more on his own with modding of animations, maps, and rebalancing in two weeks than the whole team of five highly skilled BW programmers in six months. My suspicion is that they think that MP for Andromeda may be not that good and they want to let it progress like it were in DAI-MP. The promotion system is addictive and they always had some very small but steady player base. Total estimate is unknown but there were something around a thousand+ hardcore players who promoted so much they did not want to abandon the game. I'm talking of people like Cirvante, Drasca, SpaceV3gan, Beerfish, etc. These people are now not so happy about their experience but still, Bioware does not care as long as they can make some cash out of it. So, from the Bioware logic point of view, better be safe than sorry and have some fewer people who stick than gamble and invest a lot of effort to create some piece of art like ME3 MP. If it does not work, they still get something on a smaller scale for cheap. I sincerely hope I'm wrong though and it will be enjoyable. Single player, however, looks good and feels nice based on what has been posted. Hopefully, they wont screw up the console port and game will be playable on PC with kb and mouse.

This. I really don't give a shit how DA lent itself to MP...and their (in)ability to translate their established DA SP franchise into a creative MP solution. If they really wanted DA to take the MP world by storm, I'm guessing that they'd likely have to revamp it into a WoW-style open world MMORPG. But that's obviously out of scope for an add-on MP game element. Games like The Witcher would be in the same boat. MA is still a shooter space war video game franchise. So I'm not that worried how readily they can put together a decent MP game stemming from the base SP game. I'd be much more worried if they turned it into some artificial PVP fuckfest like The Last of Us MP or MGS MP, but all indications are that's not the case.

The translation to MP wasn't the problem. It was a number of inexplicable boneheaded implementation decisions, combined with the poor QA/decision to release a work in progress. If this prestige system is anything like DAIMP, you'll soon realise what we're talking about.

Dunno about others, but in my case it would be themed challenges and solos. If I have to grind promotions so my times are good enough when compared to farmers then it's not fun. Cause I hate promoting. If I want to improve my times, or do a silly challenge like 10WS volus on Condor with a Scimitar, right now I have to git gud through normal means. With that system I only have to grind promotions until that is trivialized. Or don't and not be able to compare to others that do, so the healthy competitive aspect is gone. That said, if the prestige BS ends up being nothing, I'll probably enjoy the MP. So far it looks interesting, except for this. SP OTOH.... I'm a bit skeptical, but that's stuff for a different thread.
