If a game is ruined because of ONE character (that may or may not be a squad member), I don't think you enjoy many game...... As for how she look, don't matter for me. I will play the game and IF she will be bland or a crappy companion I will not use her. I just hope she's not a new Liara.  I loved all the ME1-ME3 Asari characters, and wanted to have one on my team in ME:A But Bioware gave us this ugly thing for a companion, so i'm going to bench her, therefore not enjoy the game as much. I am happy that no character from ME1-3 is in ME:A. Their story was with Shepard. And I don't really get the outrage for this asari, but good for you I guess. |

I can understand why Liara fans would want a attractive similar type companion and LI in meA. I myself am hoping for a strong attractive human female LI for male Ryder. But as themikefest said, we do not know if she is a squadmate or not. There might be another Asari LI option.

She's obviously a companion. What else do you need to know? There's many people in this world who have wonderful personalities who wouldn't be considered "attractive" by the masses. AKA....it's rude and shallow. And frankly, these developers have worked hard the last few years to bring us this game. They finally show us a character and the internet outbursts cries of "EWWWWW FACE PAINT. EWWWWW EYEBROWS. SHE"S UGLY!!!!!" Gamers are some of the biggest whiners who are never satisfied in my humble opinion. Rant over. Don't forget, we live in an age of melodrama, over-reactions, nit-picking, and hyper-negativity. On the anonymous internet, it's a quick way to get attention. Reminds me of all the people who feel the need to let me know how much they totally despise Christmas, and I'm like, "Wow. You hate Christmas? You're so edgy and non-mainstream." *eyeroll* I'm not one of the cool kids, so I'm not required to bash everything presented to me. |

As I said, the main reason it is impossible is because we leave before the ending of Mass Effect 3, so there is literally no time for Liara to get her few hours at most fertilized egg to the Arks. |

Refuse meens: hey, forget everything you have done the last three games and screw up over 150 play hours.
low EMS meens: you do not have any idea how to play the games. Well, for the first time ok, but not in the second playthrough. When you have played the multiplayer, you are already over the minimum.

I just realised that IF Bioware would for some stupid reason make the asari a child of Liara and Shep, a lot of people that romanced Liara and don't like this asari will cry like babies: "I refuse to believe that this ugly thing is MY shepards child!!!!"  It would probably burn down the internet. |

I don't think this is an issue of "X looks like a Y!" but instead a matter of "The character models are just downright bizarre sometimes." Which is often the case, because Bioware. Lest we forget DAI where many people appear to have lip injections and/or olive oil oozing out of their pores.
Actually, I don't think the Asari squadmate's design is bad, but the change in engine is going to make NPC designs look different from how they used to, which will inevitably lead to discourse about appearances because hey, differing opinions and all that.
