I wouldn't say she is hated, but this being the first time we really see her in action leaves me with a negative first impression.
She basically kidnaps Drack and Ryder, and risks their lives in a crash landing with no way off of the planet's surface until her rival/nemesis shows up in shuttles that can land on the surface.
I can't help but feel that if Shepard had done what PeeBee did, he would have been labelled as a badass that doesn't play by the rules. Shepard did have a fair few moments where he was a dick in the original trilogy. Of course, because we're on the other end of it, it does show PeeBee in a negative light. I'm going to reserve judgement until I see the context of the situation. My main gripe was that Ryder didn't seem bothered by it at all. It's one thing to have a casual attitude toward your team, but to have such a casual attitude about what happened seem a bit "hand-wavey" to me.There were things cut from it, conversation wheel together with your reaction to it was one of them. |

It would have shown Shepard in a negative light as well, and call into question why anyone would follow him/her. Thankfully Shepard was shown as a capable leader even when he/she went the renegade route.

I haven't got a chance to the latest thread posts, so I wanted to ask: Has there been any information on who Kalinda(sp) is? An asari. We speculate that it is PB's ex gf. They seem to be rivals/enemies now. No confirmation on who exactly she is. Kalinda/Colinda/etc looks a lot like the asari council member in the trilogy... or is it just my imagination? |

For some reason I had in my head that her ex would be human or non-Asari, with the whole Ardat Yakshi thing. Or just a rival in general -- maybe there's a dynamic of Peebee wanting to understand this technology where Kalinda wants to just take it for her own personal gain. One thing I noticed is that her voice sounded familiar.
One thing I noticed is that her voice sounded familiar. For some reason the first actress that came to mind is Aisha Tyler, most famous for voicing Lana in the TV show Archer. I would love that because not only is Tyler known to be a fan (I swear I've seen the photo of her wearing an N7 jacket on the set of Who's Line is it Anyway on the ME subreddit so many times...), but she's a great voice actress who could make that character both lovable and hateable at the same time.
In general: The other plot thing I picked up was mentioning that Peebee stripped out the programming of one of the Remnant machines and named it something like "Pac." I wonder if that's the origin of the Remnant VI ability we've seen in some trailers?
They had clearly worked together in the past at the very least because she'd followed PeeBee by bugging the aforementioned "Pac".

Honestly, I think I like Peebee's character more now. She's spontaneous, impulsive, and a little nutty. At the very least, you can't say you'll ever be bored with her around! Yeah, nothing wrong with space-Sera. I think most people's problem wasn't her character itself but the setting. You lead this religous/military organization, petty pranks and silly things just feel out of place. For me it varied from inqi to inqi. For some she's a valued friend, some tolerated her, a 3rd dialogue option, aka baaad, canary (not a typo, I use it like this  ) sent her packing after her mission. With PB this kind of personality in this setting seems more acceptable. This 'kidnapping' was more of "so about the favor I asked. Well you can think about whether you help me or not on the way down ". I like it, similar to the tackling introduction scene. |

However, she still definitely seems far more "normal" than Sera. Peebee has her own method for handling situations. I don't necessarily follow her reasoning or agree with her approach, but it's definitely exciting! May as well keep life interesting? Right? |
