I think it is Peebee only because of the facial markings and for the fact she seems to be on top of who likely is Ryder. It may have been a really early version of her character before she went through serious revisions. We've also heard the asari ark is apparently destroyed before the Hyperion even gets to Andromeda, so I'm willing to bet the asari Pathfinder is probably dead. Doubt it since Bioware said we will meet the other Pathfinders.

In particular, we will come across asari escape pods and we'll have to learn the mystery of what happened to them. The Hyperion gets to Andromeda 30 years after the other arks have already arrived. If I had to guess, they were probably destroyed by the Khet. I'll be surprised if we meet any other Pathfinders, assuming any are alive. www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2016/11/24/22-random-tidbits-about-mass-effect-andromeda.aspx

Just a note on the Sera/PeeBee comparisons: Could you imagine Sera tricking the Inquisitor into going through a one-way Eluvian in order to visit an isolated ancient ruin and find a magical artifact? That's the closest Theodosian equivalent I can think of to the setup here. If you see that as a Sera-ish thing to do, I don't think you were paying attention.
Also, if we transfer Sera into the ME universe she'd be saying things like "Why do the stupid remnant have to hide their stupid consoles in stupid rocks?", or "not more bloody vaults in stupid caves!" not the happy-go-lucky quips we got from PeeBee. The "Man, I hate her!" bit would've carried a whole lot more menace when delivered by Sera. It'd be more like "Next time I see her, she gets an arrow in the face. Not joking."
The resemblance between the two is really paper-thin, at least from what we've seen so far.

Like I said the setting makes it very different. The carefree, fun-reckless personality is more fitting here. (Why do we need spoiler for this?) Besides Sera would never do what you gave as an example because, ew magic stuff and elfy elf things. Her introduction was kind of similar to this PB quest though. Sending a note to meet her in a place where thugs attacked the inquisitor. Gameplay was cake but story-wise she needlessly endangered the inquisitor.

Sera didn't have a carefree personality. She had a lot of barely suppressed anger and she joked to let off steam and make herself and others feel better in the moment because she knew that she couldn't really change the world at a deeper level. Not the same thing. I spoilered because I was revealing story elements from the trailer. Yes, the similarity is that they are both impulsive and will do dangerous things without asking for permission, but from what we've seen their impulses have entirely different motivations. The resemblances are skin-deep.

Peebee founded a way to do it. She is probably not use to relying on others and makes mistakes, she does say sorry. A thing Sera does not have in her vocabulary. Also Peebee lives in an escape pod, commitment issues? or maybe she just does not trusts others? Either way I am liking what I see.

Sera has never fitted in anywhere and has built up this acerbic defensive shell where she won't accept any criticism. She actually expects to be rejected, but in the end it's getting the acceptance that she never had that can calm her down, and actually feeling like she has a place to belong is really important to her. We don't know enough of Peebee's back story yet, but thus far I'm getting the impression of someone who doesn't want to be tied down and is willing to leave at a moment's notice. There's a similar theme of impermanence but thus far the motivations look very different. We'll have to see, though.

And yes I agree that the motivations are probably the biggest diference.

Sera on paper really sounds good, what a waste really. And yes I agree that the motivations are probably the biggest diference. In the game I could RP certain motivations and attitudes for my Inquisitors and I managed to really enjoy Sera as a character. I can quite see why many people didn't, though. Someone like Sera is very difficult to deal with, and I'm not sure I could manage in real life.

Sera was off putting because of her immaturity and sticking to her head in the sand when her views were challenged. My mistake was playing an elf my first time through, and role playing as a Dalish who believed the elvish legends. Sera left me with a bad first impression, but it did improve when I played the other races. While Peebee may come across as immature, I don't think she will be as set in her views as Sera . The issue it seems I will have with Peebee is her recklessness and possible disregard for her teammates. My impression could change since much of the dialog was cut and some context removed from the video.

I don't know if this was posted here yet: Peebee in particular struck me as a character with hidden depths, quirky on the outside but with a depth you have to work to discover. And I love how they interact with each other, too. The relationship between the strained and serious Dr. Lexi and boisterous Peebee is especially good, and it plays on your preconceptions about Asari.www.gamesradar.com/mass-effect-andromeda-preview/

Except we'll see and hear a lot more of it. I was thinking Kallo would be the character to lecture PeeBee after the mission, since you just know somebody is going to have words with her, but now I think it may actually be Lexi. I can totally see while being treated Lexi chewing her out and then after a sigh expressing concern for her and others. Something like "Of all the reckless, irresponsible stunts you could have pulled...*sigh*...You could have gotten hurt. Ryder could have gotten hurt. Or worse."

The resemblances are skin-deep. What do their motivations matter if the end result is the same? Peebee is happy where Sera is angry... What do I care when they're both expressed in the form of reckless impulsiveness? Especially when the lives of myself and my crew are at stake. Saying "Oh don't worry, at least I'm good-natured about it all" is no excuse.

As I pointed out in my previous post, the setup of Peebee's loyalty mission would never have happened with Sera. She is not motivated to explore old ruins in search of hidden secrets. Quite the opposite in fact. So yes, there is reckless impulsiveness in both cases, but it's not going to manifest in the same places for the same reasons, and if you want to understand the people in your squad and how best to use their strengths and mitigate their weaknesses, you'd better understand what makes them tick.

Something like "Of all the reckless, irresponsible stunts you could have pulled...*sigh*...You could have gotten hurt. Ryder could have gotten hurt. Or worse." I think it is going to be more a cold exchange, I mean Sera and Josephine were kinda fun to watch but this time... I am getting the feeling is serious businesses, so yes. I wouldn't say it will be cold. Stern yes, but not cold. Cold doesn't fit what we know of Lexi's personality.

This is interesting, but spoilery: Peebee expresses curiosity about Jaal, wondering if the Asari ability to mate with all Milky Way species extended to the Andromeda natives.

I wouldn't say it will be cold. Stern yes, but not cold. Cold doesn't fit what we know of Lexi's personality. I meant the exchange between the two, not really personality. Josephine is a lot more expressive and explosive with things like "Sera you little devil!" approach. Dr. Lexi seem to me more in control of her emotions and less impulsive.

You know... I'm glad to hear that. I'll take interest, of any kind, for a male, Angara or no, as proof PeeBee is Bi.
