It looks to me like those plants are generated statics, like the grass in, like, every other game that exists. (I'm all for critiquing things that actually deserve criticism, but, this seems like a rather silly nitpick to me.) For reference, people getting stabbed by grass: Inquisition (Cassandra's leg): The Witcher 3 (Geralt's foot): The alternative would be to give the plants collision, which means we would have to walk around them, and potentially get stuck if we got too close. I'm pretty sure we don't have the capacity yet to have grass move aside as we walk in games right now (or it would be super performance intensive if we do). Witcher 3 has a very detailed animation of Geralt sucking a nipple, but they can't make that the grass crush if Geralt steps on it? Geralt... what?!? And to think I gave away my copy of the Witcher:3 after playing it for two hours. But to be honest, Bioware has done similar things. Every Mass Effect game has had more, and more stripper/pole dancer animations (must have been fun to mocap). Yet they couldn't fit a holster animation into Mass Effect:3? Priorities... |

Oh my god everything about Mass Effect 3 and animations were just horrid. I'd say it's up there with one of the worst animated AAA titles. I will never get over that hilarious duck running. Not only the running but the jogging as well. It looked like characters were unnaturally gliding across the surface. Inquisition had some funny animations as well. I lol'd every time a character would adjust themselves while sitting whenever they spoke. I'm like ffs if you have a wedgie pull it out already. This 'BroRyder' fellow gives me a frat-boy vibe... am I the only one... or maybe the "my daddy forced me to attend law school", vibe. Anyone? ANYONE ELSE? You probably just feel that way because Scott's real live model Steven Brewis is basically Waspy McWasperson from an Ivy league school. Bioware always uses waspy dudes to base their white male characters off of. Kinda like how most games/comics do. Not that i'm complaining  |

I'm hoping the creator creation will be better than what it was for the trilogy. I want to make an appearance I like that isn't the default. Or at least slightly alter the appearance of the default.

Don't we all  I hope we'll be able to modify the default appearance as well. The way Shepard's face worked in the trilogy was very irritating. I mean, I get it was a scan and whatnot, but still... let me edit it a bit, not just "use as is or gtfo"...  Still, I really like Scott's appearance so far (it got better with the more recent trailers and images) and I REALLY like his VA  so I might be quite ok this time around with the default char. |

Personally, I know I will prefer Sara Ryder as my main playthrough. However Scott Ryder's default appearance is really well done and a really good base for a custom Scott. With female characters I tend to prefer to create my own based on what I think looks nice, but with male characters I always need a reference to get the character I like. With the rugged appearance and look of misery of Scott in the official trailer, I will probably base him on Jon Snow/Kit Harington. I doubt it would be too tricky. Cannot wait to have the game in my hands! |

He looks great from some angles, and less so from others. I'm hoping for an option to modify the default, because those ears are a bit problematic for me in a goofy Prince Charlesy kind of way. This guy, however... He does look good. I always like better the defaut male PC. I liked Sheploo a lot too. If I make a male playthrough (which now seems unlikely, but after all end up doin two with Sheploo) i'm definitely using the default Sheploo is, hands down, my all time favorite defualt character. He embodies everything a masculine, controlled, strong military man to be, and the best part about it is that he easily fits whether you have him play straight or gay. I'm honestly considering making my broRyder identical to Sheploo. I dunno, make a round about connection in my own world that he's related to Sheploo. It's still a working progress. |

Both were recently inducted into the Alliance before joining the Andromeda Initiative. Scott was stationed at Arcturus and Sara was assigned to Prothean ruins. Sorry if anyone considers this too spoilery. I hid it just in case. |

I always thought Scott is the one with the science background and I was very happy about it... I thought I could play as a nerd. Now, I'm a bit disappointed. I wanted an intelligent but socially awkward character. Now, it seems all I get is a diplomatic nice guy. *sighs* Mayb I'm too pessimistic now, but his background sounds so boring compared to Saras.
