I totally feel what you're saying. I played a CC Sara on the first run and wasn't too keen on the dad I was assigned, but by the time all was said and done, that whole family completely imprinted on me and I love them. Customized Alec gives me nightmares. I have not seen one that doesn't make me feel either horrified or like something is very off somehow. Not sure how it ended up so buggered, since customizing Hawke in DA2 didn't turn the rest of the family into scarecrow zombie monsters.

Just realized they used what Stargate SG-1 Samatha Carter did in Drack's lines when Sara talks to him after they save Moshae. No idea if he uses it with Scott. This is the line: Honestly, drop a nuke on his [Archon's] head. Blow up a sun if you have to.Carter blew up a sun to destroy Apophis' fleet

Bwa ha ha! I love my adorkable Sara. Had a great moment in Kadara with Drack. Spoiler-tag for those who haven't seen it yet. Sara enters Kralla's Song and there is Drack having a beer. Some low-life want to start a fight and Sara is of course game for a show. I mean, she is my dorky space-girl but that doesn't mean that she can't tango!
So I pick the fight-side and lean back about to enjoy my Ryder dishing out some action. To really enjoy the moment I take up my very heavy teacup and right when I am about to drink a interrupt comes up,and I miss it. My poor little Ryder is clocked and misses the whole thing.
Ha ha ha, I laughed so I almost woke the sleeping toddler. This Ryder haven't taken a single enemy in melee during this PT so I'm keeping it. Never planned for her to be more of a distance-fighter but this was too fun not to use.
It's the little things that really makes it sometimes! Sara can be badass or adorkable depending on choices and I love mixing up these two. Adorkable badass... I like it.

Honestly I'm not surprised. Even pre-patch Sara was doing some weird things sometimes. If he knew how many Harry Potter references Sara would end up making, Kallo would have never agreed to jailbreak her "invisibility cloak".

That's good to know. I felt a lack of closure with Cora after the final Alec Ryder memory was revealed. One of the things she said in the beginning was, "I don't want a rival. Just answers." I was surprised there was no follow-up with her after that, but it seems she made her peace in more ways than one. (Still. =p)

Keep notifying BioWare on Twitter and our hopes for a resolution-DLC at the end of the game's fiscal year may be made just as how Trespasser DLC in Dragon Age Inquisition put a wrap and bow on Inquisitor and his friends, allowing you to marry your love interest and say goodbye to the ones that probably won't show up again in future games.

She didn't need to be Ryder's 2IC, she was Alec's. But she chose to be. She wanted to support a new Pathfinder. She told Ryder she/he's doing great even without training. And finally she made peace with not being a Pathfinder, admitting Alec was right when he let his kid be the one, she told Ryder a few times she's there for him/her. Hell, she was really worried when Ryder was using rem-tech without SAM, she praised Ryder in front of other Pathfinders, advised Hayjer to take an example of what Ryder is doing and how he/she's doing his/her job (autodialogues in Tann's office).

That's not gonna happen since MEA is supposed to be a series of games. Not a trilogy, but a few games with the same protag (all the signs says so). Expect them to f*k up romances in the next game - let a few to continue, others (probably flings) nope. I'm sure Cora, Peebe and Jaal are safe since they clearly were a priority.

Jack got a full romance in ME2. In ME3 she got the shaft pretty much where the culmination was talking with her at a bar and dancing.
They could continue it and give slightly less screentime for Cora and PeeBee while making more effort for Vetra etc.
OR, they could end up with either a better budget or better priorities (romance yo) and increase the quality of all.
My biggest concern is that writers will leave or drop their characters and have other writers pick them up. Some characters turned out okay in ME3 but several (Jacob, Liara, Ashley etc.) turned out poorly IMO.

Both Liara and Ashley had the best developement through the games and the culmination of Liara's romance was very well done. No idea how it went with Ash, never had enough patience to play as mShep to woo her.

I wish Ryder could tell her why Alec made this choice and that she was never in his plan - because she wasn't. It's even hinted Ryders' implants are different from the others. They probably had to be so Alec could change SAM's coding. I'm sure she'd understand and appreciate such honesty. We've talked to Lexi about memory triggers (not all of them, for example not about Benefactor and Ellen be alive, in stasis), I wanted something similar with Cora. I still enjoyed her sis-mance, but I hope we'll get more in DLCs and MEA2. She's a true friend and I'd love for my Sara to interract with her more.

It really bothered me as well, that I couldn't fess up to Cora about what really happened when we became Pathfinder.
Knowing that Alec hadn't rejected her because he felt she was "unworthy" to be his successor, but because he had other plans, would have probably lifted a great weight from her shoulders.
If Cora had become Pathfinder instead, she'd lack the same motivation that drove Scott/Sara to want to search for answers, attempt to uncover his memories and then have the same emotional connection to want to ensure Alec's ultimate plan was fulfilled.

I think some of the Alec's are decent looking, but I find it pretty mind boggling that any of them would turn out awful. Why is that a thing? And although I generally agree that the DA2 family system turned out better, there were definitely skin tone choices that would make them look ridiculous. And since DA2 is brought up; I hate not being able to customize the default character. Why is that a thing that was brought back?

I was so glad we could customise default Hawke in DAI, it was the only way to deal with default FemHawke's hair.
That design was especially baffling since both male and female Hawke shared the same messy hair in DA2, so why was only male Hawke given the scruffy option in DAI? Did Bioware somehow forget what their own friggin' character looked like?
Really wish we could change the defaults in MEA or keep default Alec, because most of the other preset options are horrendous.

Oh, I agree there were some issues with Hawke's family appearance in DA2, but it still managed to make the people look like people and not like a train wreck. For the most part. Skin tone seems to be an issue with MEA too, depending on what preset you pick. I suppose that could be fixed at a later date...?
