I'm not entirely a fan of changes, either, but I mostly don't give a damn.

There is a point about the whole thing that you don't apply makeup before combat, though. You apply camopaint. Or, if you're like me, you have a balaclava-scarf thingy you pull up and are done with it.

They look more natural to me. Natural hair are shiny. Same with her lips. Previous were too pale compared to real human. I looked at close ups of her face and there's no make-up addition at all.

I said it here and in another thread already, but I'll say it again - I hate them The pink lipstick doesn't look great on her, the new hair texture is too shiny, she's back to looking kinda soulless for some reason. Overall, she looks like a doll now, imo, not in a good way. But for me, it's not about her appearance itself - I'm not a fan of her new look, but she doesnt look terrible - it's about changing something in a character more than a month after the game's release. The default protagonist's face, no less. It's not fair to the players who chose her default look for their gameplays, because their character pretty much has a different look now and it wasn't something they had any say in (though I know there are people who like her new look and that's cool). I just hate that they wanted to appease those who called her 'ugly' so much (because I can't imagine any other reason why they'd do it) that they changed their work post-release.

I do hope there'll be some mods that would make her look like her 1.05 self, or at least make her lips the way they were.

They added specular maps to the hair i think. Which gives it a certain shine, or highlights it. Not a fan, and it looks really bad on dark hair.

As for Sara? If you want to make changes, just let us change it. Make her default customisable.

I don't really have a strong opinion on the cosmetic changes to Sara, but I do sympathize because players are powerless to modify her face if they don't agree with it. The hair shine is a little too strong so I suspect they'll tweak it in the next patch to balance it a bit more.

kunoichi2017 -- My theory is that since the collar is already starting to clip through Scott's armor, that the chestpiece is probably extends out further on Sara due to the bust, which puts the collar behind it. I have not used that armor on either character so I can't say for sure.

Besides the lips, it looks like they also thinned Sara's jaw (maybe not though, hard to tell), thinned and sort of reshaped her lower lip and gave her permanent bedroom eyes. w h y ? The lower lip is the most jarring to me personally, after the lipstick, it just makes her look less like herself, imo. Wonder how will they "improve" her in the next patch - full glam makeup? Give her a different face model entirely? Turn her into an asari? Sorry for the salt, guys, but this is not my beautiful wife.

I like the "revised" version of Sara. I just would like to have the 1.5 lip color back. Looks to shiny or glossy now, imo. Not sure if I like that.

And her new casual attire? That outfit is cool for the Tempest. Not so cool for first contact with the Angara or the Nexus. Don't wanna see Sk8er Boi Sara Ryder in the history books.

The only place I think that jersey attite would be remotely appropriate would be during Jaal's romance scene by the waterfall.

Given the further visual improvements we've had since I made that fan trailer, and the incoming CC patch which might lead me to altering my Ryder slightly anyway, I definitely plan to do a 'redux' version of it. Will use the correct line when I do
