I have to wonder why people who loathe ME3 and DAI are still here. They don't have the excuse of wanting their voices to be heard when these are unofficial forums. MEA looks like it's going to be a combination of ME3 and DAI with some innovations and revisions so I doubt they'll like it. Like honestly. Move on already and play games you enjoy. I'm sure they exist. OT: I won't preorder but I'll buy the game on release. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attention_seeking en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man

No. I never give into hype. I never buy on release (usually wait upto a month depending on title). I never pre-order. IF I like I then get the collector editon... if can afford it...otherwise normal edition till later can afford the prior.

Think someone needs to create an argumentation card game. It would be awesome! With some people on here, the only winning move is not to play. Edit: It's rather silly that someone looked at my generalized comment and took it personally.

Chances are I will pre-order, but not yet. I will probably wait until the last week or so, as I usually do. The last game I pre-ordered I bought 40 minutes before oficial release. I waited that long to be sure I was buying the right version and making the right choice.
When it comes to ME:A, there are three versions and considerable price gaps between them, yet we have pretty much no information on which one is adequate for each players and why. Therefore I will before making any decision.

No, and it pains me to see so many people being dumb enough to pre-order it. And no, this isn't me bashing ME:A, this is me bashing people who pre-order in general. Pre-ordering in this day and age is fucking stupid, it's a scam, you're being scammed out if your money for a product that isn't even complete yet (and might not even be complete and fully functional at the day of launch). Pre-ordering used to be a thing in the 90's because of limited supply and high demand. Games would often sell out quickly, sometimes within a few hours, so stores would offer the option to pre-order so you'd be certain you'd get a copy on day 1. But today, the supply of videogames is plenty high, and most people buy their games digitally, of which the supply is unlimited. So there really isn't any reason to pre-order and you're fucking stupid if you're doing it. People are welcome to do what they want with their money and they aren't "fucking stupid" for doing something you don't agree with. Besides if I do pre-order why should I trust someone else's opinion on the game aside from mine since I can always return the game for a refund and EA won't charge me for the game until I can play it. Yes, people are free do throw away their money recklessly if they want, and I am free to call them out for being the dumbasses they are.

Typically I don't preorder, but that's because I don't care for most games in general and know too little about the developer or the franchise to really care (like I don't know shit about Uncharted so I'd never pay money for it anyway). Mass Effect and Dragon Age, however, are a different story. Unless the game was actually a remaster of Hatred or Duke Nukem Forever, or some other form of diarrhetic code smeared all over a disc, or I died, there's absolutely no way that I'd not own a game from either franchise, so with that little carrot of a minor preorder bonus hanging out there, I figure, oh why the fuck not. The haters can suck it.
Anyway, the people who really risk it all are those folks that pay full price for games that only exist online. They run the risk of buying something that might stop working within a year, if that.

The problem with the 'its not complete logic' is if one is reffering to the bugs and the glitches in the game then it may never really be ever complete. Games will always have glitches and some glitches just pop up the more you play a given game. Patches and stuff will be released for many a game in this day and age to try and improve that system. If the argument is 'its not complete' because of DLC, DLC are seperate side stories released after a game is released with varying degree of plot relevance.

For me, it's simply a matter of practicality. I prefer digital copies, it means I don't have to load disks into my Xbox and it's just there. I'd like to play at launch, so a pre-order a few days ahead allows the game to be downloaded ready. By the week before, I will (hopefully) have seen more than enough information about the game to justify a purchase. I like this franchise, so even if it had significant flaws (eg DA2) I would not be missing it out. If a game was not from a franchise I was invested in, then I would not support pre-ordering for all the logical reasons many people share. Similarly, unless you want limited 'toys', I see little point in pre-ordering many months ahead when we don't even have a launch date, but your mileage may vary.

I'm...mixed. I DO want to play the game as soon as it comes out, however, with the lack of media...I really don't want to buy sight unseen. I guess...I'm going to get it post release. Not worried about the reviews so much, I mean...most reviewers, especially the big ones (i.e., IGN, Gamespot, Game Informer and I think Ryan McCaffrey is tool) have little in common with my gaming tastes, and seem...overly picky about what I would consider to be inconsequential items. However, I just can't help shake the feeling that Bioware doesn't feel very confident in their product yet. As they have yet to show an actual MISSION (the ME2 and 3 Demos sold me on those games), instead picking and choosing very specific items to showcase...I don't know. I'm going to wait until I see something more than fluff before decide to make this a must have purchase. Which...is kinda sad because I REALLY wanna love this game. I've been replaying the original trilogy for the past month, and its still a blast.
Now, I know Ryder ISN'T Shepard, and this is a whole new ballpark. This is its own beast. Which is fine. However (I may be using that word too much), I decided NOT to pick up FFXV because I'd been hearing about it for what...about a DECADE? Last Guardian too. They are probably great games...but after a while, they can't live up to the hype...even if its hype that resides ONLY within my own mind. A different example...I have a dog. A wonderful little Shiba Inu. If I tease her with one of her favorite treats, she gets fussy, so after a while, I have to give her something. She'll get irritated, and either get upset...or wander off. If I straight up don't FEED her...she's going to be MORE than upset. There comes a point when the teasing has to stop, and substance must be given. Otherwise, you risk losing loyalty...and well, at some point, they leave or starve. For now, I'm chewing on the old bone that is the ME Trilogy...but I'm not going to come every time Bioware whistles, because they want to wave a steak in front of me but not let me bite.
Once I see a release date or a demo, I'll rethink my position. Until then, I'll be dining in Thedas or Tamriel, lol.

When it comes to ME:A, there are three versions and considerable price gaps between them, yet we have pretty much no information on which one is adequate for each players and why. Therefore I will before making any decision. I don't think knowing which edition target what player is that hard. The standard editions has only the pre-order bonus. If you don't care about skins, mp and the soundtrack go for this one. Deluxe is ~$10 more than Standard and has more digital stuff (armor, casual outfit and weapon set), a pet pyjak, a mp pack and a digital soundtrack. The digital soundtrack is worth the $10 difference (going by general game soundtrack price), so if you like game soundtrack go for Deluxe. The in-game digital stuff is mostly skins that you might not like in the end. Super Deluxe Edition is Deluxe + more MP stuff. This version is for people who wants to do a lot of multiplayer and wants to speed up their MP progression.

Exactly it depends on how much you want standard edition is the basic bog standard stuff only. Deluxe give you a few extra bits and pieces like say an extra DLC pack with extra armour skins and 1 or 2 extra weapon types that sort of thing and Super Deluxe is for those that are interested in multiplayer so if your not interested in MP I think it's safe to say you can skip this one. I've gone with deluxe as I don't careabout multiplayer but I still want the extra skins and weapons available to my Ryders so for me the middle option appealed to me most. It's kind of like what they did with DAI when they hada flames of the Inquisition add on when DAI came out. Although in this case it's MEA related

The thing is, I do really want to play the MP, but when I think about the 50$ surcharge for an extra pack a week that is based on the RNG, I ask myself, would I really benefit? from my experience with the packs so far, the unlocks from the higher packs will be wasted on the lower tiers of difficulty, and there are a lot of high level guns, that unlock on Level I, instead of sequentially and at those low levels, they are incredibly heavy. So, chances are, I will unlock a bunch of stuff that will only come in handy (maybe) in some months of playing, not right away. And in some months of playing I can just grind it out naturally....

I agree about the multiplayer items, not only that I thought I would like the Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer, but stopped playing after a few weeks due to the frustration I had while playing it, so I wouldn't want to spend the extra money on something that I wouldn't use. Its why I stopped buying physical collector's items too because they just sat on a shelf ignored gathering dust.

I think it's not that I am worried that I won't like it, it's that for me the "getting started" involves playing for a while on the low tiers to learn, rather than jumping into the high tiers ASAP, so the high level packs are not really intended for that. Plus, well, spending money on RNG is not my style

I pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition without any qualms. I like the extras that come with it and found the price fitting with the content offered. Between the campaign and MP I have no doubt I'll get my moneys worth from it, and then some.

If your exspectations are hit from N7 day onwards will you pre order mass effect andromeda? Or are you going to anyway no matter what we see from N7 day? Whos in and whos out!! If you're an Amazon prime member there isn't any reason not to.
You get it for $47.99 instead of the standard price and you can cancel at any time. Even if you forget to cancel you can return it for a full refund. I preorder games I don't even have systems to play just in case I decide to by said system. Even without prime you still have the option to cancel or return the item for the full amount.

I pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition without any qualms. I like the extras that come with it and found the price fitting with the content offered. Between the campaign and MP I have no doubt I'll get my moneys worth from it, and then some. yeah I don't touch multiplayer which is why I didn't go super Deluxebut I know I'm going to get my money's worth out pof this game based on how I feel about the rest of both the |ME and DA series so don't hasve any problems preordering this even if the deluxe version is an extra £10. As long as I get the extra single player stuff that's enough for me.

I haven't yet, but only because it's the holiday season and I need to watch how I spend, not to mention there's a good chance the game might come out around the time I'll be in the middle of a massive cross-country move and I won't be able to play it as soon as it comes out.
After the holidays, though, and if I'll be able to have access to my console by then, hell yes I'm ordering the Deluxe Edition. I've yet to be disappointed by Bioware and everything I'm seeing looks decent, plus who says no to your player character having a pet space monkey? CRAZY PEOPLE, THAT'S WHO.
