I really like the simplicity of the Pre-Order bonuses:
Michael Gamble ✔ @gamblemike Pre Orders for MEA are simple. Everyone gets the same stuff, regardless of where or when it was pre ordered.

I can see the appeal of not including the game in the sense that it allows CE to be more easily ordered without worrying about there not being enough Xbox versions or something along those lines. That's all well and good. My point in mentioning the fact that the game isn't included is that it feels really slimy. It makes the CE look less expensive as a whole than it actually is because it's not factoring in how much it's going to cost to buy the game along with it. Again, with my Persona example, I got a myriad of really great collector's items, and the CE as a whole only cost me $80. Closer to $70 when you consider the fact that I ordered with Amazon Prime. That means I get an artbook, soundtrack, plush, collector's box, steel case, and a schoolbag for $10. Here, I'm spending $200 for an RC car, Day 1 DLC, steel case, and a digital soundtrack. So if Persona can offer those things for $10, what is making this CE cost so much? Remove the steel case and the soundtrack (which isn't even a physical copy) and it's still $190, in addition to having to buy the game separately. That's a terrible value. If you look at any collector's edition of a game and if they include a statue it is normally about a $100 jump in price anymore and that is for something that isn't very complex. Even looking at the Pipboy for Fallout 4, originally they charged USD$120 for it, but when it was restocked at GameStop it was USD$190, now that did include the game, but it was a piece of formed plastic that from my understanding could break easily. Using a release from CDPR their collector's edition cost $150 for its statue version as well, it did have some more physical things also, but it was three years ago too. To me it gives people options, for with Dragon Age: Inquisition some versions of its collector's edition sold out much faster then others so people were upset at the thought of if they really wanted the collector's edition they would have to buy the game twice, once for their platform and once on a platform they didn't want. I am personally fine with it as long as it is clear the game doesn't come with the items and at least on the BioWare store it seems that way to me, for to me slimy would require them to mask their intentions. I would say those statues are usually overpriced too, honestly. Maybe it just seems that much worse because there are so many CEs recently that had so much bang for your buck compared to this one. The FFXV CE was standard price for this sorta thing and it had one of those figures, soundtrack, steel case, collector's box, movie, anime, and an artbook, while still being shipped with the price of the game as well. I already said I don't mind that the CE is separate from the game in the way you're talking about it, but the reason it bothers me is because the combined price is absolutely insane.

I already said I don't mind that the CE is separate from the game in the way you're talking about it, but the reason it bothers me is because the combined price is absolutely insane. I am not sure what makes FFXV okay. If you buy Mass Effect: Andromeda Deluxe edition its $70 and the purchase of the statue of the Mako is $100 and the RC Mako is $200, it is either $170 or $270 depending on what you want. The collector's edition of FFXV that you mention was $260. So getting a RC Mako is more expensive, but the statue version of the Mako isn't. So the trade off is that you get what seems to be two blu-rays (edit: and the artbook) in FFXV for an upgrade to an RC Mako, both collector's editions include a steelbook and digital content.

If you're talking about the armour, nomad skin, pyjak, hoodie, soundtrack, MP pack, etc, I don't think these have changed since all three preorder versions were announced a few months back.

Depends on what matters for you. I preordered the deluxe edition immediately because I always get BioWare soundtracks, so that was worth the extra $10 to me.
Don't really care about the rest of the goodies one way or the other. The pyjack and armor are neat but wouldn't be enough to draw me in alone. Couldn't care less about the rest.
Regardless, I would preorder at least the regular version anyway, just so I could predownload and play the second it rolls over to midnight on the 21st.

Multiplayer Deluxe Launch Pack - Get a head start on Day 1 Co-Op play with the Multiplayer Launch Pack which includes items to kick start your progress. Want me to Pre-Order? Give something more than shallow aesthetics that I personally believe was spawned by the Modding community of ME2. Ironically the outfit DLC's for ME2 came out after MANY mods to change clothing of Shepard and squadmates were made. Till such time I will have to say NAY.

MEA pre-order offers nothing of the sort, so I don't see the point of pre-ordering

I have pre-ordered because it doesn't matter to me (too much) whether Andromeda is highly acclaimed or just an above average game. Given what has been revealed from BW so far I can see that I will enjoy it to a great degree. Imo, it clearly has 'issues' with some non-sensical logic, odd explanations, and puzzling personnel background descriptions in the first 4 training vids. I do roll my eyes. I fully expect there will be a significant patch within 4 weeks for the pc version after release, and I mostly agree with Smudboy's criticisms covered in his YouTube "Everything wrong with..." Series. For full disclosure I found Star Wars episode 7 as little more than a redux of episode 4 and the recent Rogue One movie was very disappointing except for Felicity Jones' performance and characterization. Perhaps I'm resigned to 'trying' to enjoy above average space entertainment, or I've become a citizen drone from '1984' for BW (see the Apple commercial) but I'm willing to bite into the Andromeda apple and enjoy it without being too critical. Pun intended. If the main story is good then I will gladly buy the DLCs just as I have done for the Shepard trilogy. Very hopeful for Andromeda's success and entertainment value.
BTW - Shepard should have lived at the end, Joker would NEVER have left Shepard, and then Tali could have thrown an amusing party on Rannock for everyone at her new home's back deck overlooking the rift valley below.

I'm still waiting for the PC requirements. My sister is getting it for PS4 so if my PC can't handle it, or if I can only run it in Mass Effect: Minecraft mode, I'll end up just borrowing it from my sister when she's done... which, sadly, could take a while ...but that's the worst-case scenario I don't want to think about just yet. For now, I'm still hopeful that I can run it at 30-40 fps on medium.

I have preordered myself, got the xbox one deluxe edition from Toys R Us online being shipped to my home. More then likely ME:A will be sold out other places that's why I did what I did.
In the end, am I have second thoughts about preordering? Heck no I'm not. I really have liked a lot of BioWare's games. I'm also planning to get the Prima paperback or CE strategy guide.
