I'm gonna pre-order the digital deluxe version based solely on the fact that I'm gonna buy it anyway.

Preordered 2 copies. Deluxe for me and standard for my bro. I've never regretted a preorder so much that I regretted pre ordering.
Love ME style gameplay, so even if the story fizzles I'll still find enjoyment.

I already pre-ordered a deluxe version for my wife's Xbox One, it's going to be shipped in the mail a few days after the 21 of March.
Tomorrow I'm going to pre-order a deluxe version from Origin for my pc, I really want to preload it right before the release date falls,
that day more then likely I'll come home from work and find my wife on my gaming rig, ah I'll just have to wait my turn it seems.
EDIT: Turns out my wife had already pre-ordered the MEA Standard Edition (physical pc version being shipped) on Amazon. I found this out when I told her I was planning to buy MEA on Orgin.com, she then told me she already bought it. I'm not really upset since I still get the deluxe goodies from the Xbox One version (I just mainly wanted the Digital Soundtrack and Pet Pyjak). At the same time I also found out she had pre-ordered the Mass Effect: Andromeda Prima collector's edition hardcover guide book on Amazon too while she was still on the site.

In regards to the digital soundtrack, when does it become available? On the 21st? Or is the soundtrack playable as soon as you pre order?

I've pre-ordered at my local gameshop, but they don't have the physical deluxe edition for XONE. So I might pre-order digitally, so I can pre-load the game and don't have to waste half a day of my day off work.
A question for pre-loaders: How does this work on xbox? I can already download it but it's locked on a timer until the proper date? And only works if you connect online?

Mine says the same thing, it's likely just a generic email Origin sends everyone as their receipt. If the Origin client says it's released March 23rd then it's 23rd for you.

Preording based on hype/faith/trust etc... never works out to your favour. These are the last games i ever preorderd. Notice anything? Fallout 4: Didnt meet the hype MGS 5: Didnt meet the hype Batman Arkham Knight: Didnt meet the hype Witcher 3: Met the hype and exceeded it (something that never happens) DAI: FAILED TO MEET THE HYPE Depends what your expectations are relative to the marketing. Looking at those games, I'm not sure which one wasn't great. I'm a huge Fallout fan, so I was pre-disposed to loving it, but it was very well reviewed, ditto MGS5, Batman, Witcher 3 and DA:I. Those were all, to a degree or another, objectively very good video games. Not perfect, of course, but what game is? I didn't care for Batman's combat, but that didn't mean that the graphics, story, etc. weren't very well done. It's like looking at a piece of furniture. You may not like it, you might not ever want to buy it and put it in your home, but that doesn't mean that it still can't be a very well-made, well-put together piece of furniture in it's own right. It's just not to your taste. I am, however, a big believer in the concept of "antici-pointment". If I build something up in my head to be SO AMAZING!!! that nothing can live up to it, I will be disappointed every time. No Man's Sky, I'm looking in your direction. I loved the idea, I listened to the promises, I believed the hype, I ignored the warning signs (no reviews pre-release, CGI ads), and I built it up so that it was going to be the best game in years, maybe the decade. But that's my fault. I chose how deep to go into the hype that I did pre-release. Lesson learned. By comparison, we've seen plenty of in-game footage, we've seen plenty of reviews, we've seen the studio's extensive resume. We know what we're getting here for better or worse. [/threadjack] I did pre-order the Super-Ultra-Mega-Deluxe version. In my younger, much poorer student days, I may have....not made the best choices about how I acquired the first two ME games. I kinda feel like I owe them for that. They gave me literally hundreds of hours of happiness, and these games aren't made for free. It doesn't make up for earlier mistakes I made, but at least I can do the right thing going forward.

I pre-ordered yesterday, after suscribing to Access for a month. So... cheaper game, and get to play a bit earlier.
I am familiar with the mantra "never pre-order", but BioWare's games are the only ones I always buy anyways. Sure, DAI wasn't what I expected, but I would've played it anyways. ME3 had that ending thingy, but I would've played it anyways. So, since there's a pattern here, I feel like it barely makes any difference. And I get to pre-load, which is sweet since my connection sucks.

I pre ordered the deluxe edition about an hour ago. I went with that edition pretty much for the soundtrack, I've always enjoyed the music from Mass Effect and figure for a extra $5 why not. Figure I'd save some money plus I get a few cosmetic items. Kinda would of liked to have a Varren running around the ship instead of the Pyjak.I thought those things were cool and plus Jack had one. Just a minor thing probably being picky Another nice plus is the pre-load on the 17th. Like alexy my internet also sucks lol.

Pre-loading available on consoles already, but PC pre-load on 16-18 March, probably because of piracy and data mining.

Dunno but that's neat you got it pre loading already least you'll have it done well in advanced

I don't ever Pre-Order anything, except Mass Effect. The only two games I've Pre-Ordered are Mass Effect 3:Collector's Edition and Mass Effect:Andromeda. I'm going to buy the game regardless of what other people or reviews say about it, so why not get some extra goodies with it. I Pre-Ordered the Deluxe edition for the extra doo-dads and gimmicks. The Super Deluxe Edition, however, is the sleaziest and most disgusting thing I've seen in regards to an enhanced edition of a game. It's $100+ and it offers everything in the Deluxe edition, with the only difference being weekly Multiplayer Booster packs. No way in hell would I buy such a ridiculous version lol.

Not sure if I have posted this earlier in the thread, but the only time I pre-order games is when I know I will be buying it day 1. Now with EA basically scrapping physical distribution for the PC pre-ordering is a little more important for me so I can pre-load the game otherwise it will be a couple days after launch before I could play the game.
I am wondering if physical pre-orders are starting to slip for a lot of games, for I remember even with Dragon Age: Origins there being different pre-orders for many different stores, but not there is only one pre-order bonus regardless of where you buy the game.
