I pre-ordered yesterday, after suscribing to Access for a month. So... cheaper game, and get to play a bit earlier. I am familiar with the mantra "never pre-order", but BioWare's games are the only ones I always buy anyways. Sure, DAI wasn't what I expected, but I would've played it anyways. ME3 had that ending thingy, but I would've played it anyways. So, since there's a pattern here, I feel like it barely makes any difference. And I get to pre-load, which is sweet since my connection sucks. Same here. A singleplayer RPG from BioWare is guaranteed purchase for me, especially since I'll buy maybe 2 games within the span of 1 1/2 to 2 years. |

I do think it's a shame that the review embargo drops on March 20th 9am EST.
Why? Won't that compromise the ability of the Australians to cancel pre-orders if they are dissatisfied with reviewer feedback?
I think MEA will be awesome, but I find this an anti-consumer mistake possibly, thinking of our antipodean friends.
I do hope BioWare don't fall into the trap like Bethesda and Ubisoft.

I do think it's a shame that the review embargo drops on March 20th 9am EST. Why? Now from my experience the Monday prior to release is fairly normal and random times through the day, so I think the Ubisoft and Bethesda comparisons are a little early. A couple of recent games that I recall the day prior was Bloodborne and Resident Evil 7. To me the worst is Bethesda for reviewers don't even get a preview copy anymore so the reviews are rushed and that makes them less informative. Ubisoft are just dicks that prevent the review from going live before release so if a review is important to you just wait a couple of extra hours. |

Fair enough, I know with Dragon Age: Inquisition I changed my mind and pre-ordered the game based on the reviews since the embargo lifted a week early. My only reasoning is that they want to make sure reviewers have plenty of time with the Day 1 patch. I also have a strong dislike for what Bethesda has done and the public reasoning they have given for it so I grab my soapbox anytime I can. |

I get people's reservations about pre ordering but if I know I am going to be getting a game anyway what difference does it make if I pay now or on the day it comes out? Either way I am spending the same amount of money so I figure might as well go ahead and make the purchase that way when the 21st rolls around I just have to press start and I am good.

And pre-order done, deluxe edition for PC. It's the first game I've bought at release price in over 5 years (Steam sales heh), but I feel I'll get my money's worth. Still have my doubts that there will be too many of the bad design that was in DA:I, but I have faith the good will outweight the bad. It's Mass Effect after all...
I also took the opportunity to subscribe to Origin Access. The free trial is nice and all for an easy rebate, but I'll stick to the 1-year subscription after the free trial expires. The Vault is choke full of games I have not played but would like to, and now that they have the $30 a year deal for PC like they have for consoles, the value is ridiculously good.

stupid question but is it possible to preorder a physical copy of the game a day or two before release...? As long as the store hasn't met its quota of available copies I don't see why not. The only catch would be is if you are buying for the PC where there doesn't seem to be a physical copy, at least for North America. |

Last month pre-ordered the MEA deluxe edition on Xbox One and the MEA collector's edition prima strategy guide.
Few days ago I pre-ordered the pc standard edition on amazon because I saved 9 bucks and got two day shipping
free. (since I'm a prime member). I'm going to upgrade my standard edition to deluxe when they offer that option.
EDIT : Want to pre-order that McFarlane MEA Scott Ryder 7" inch collectible action figure but I'm still on the fence
about doing so, more then likely I'll just wait and get it after MEA is released.

I pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition awhile back and just signed up for EA Access. BW has never failed me this far so I have faith ME:A will be worth the money. Never pre-ordered a game before and wanted the experience of being on the front side of a game for once. I'm really looking forward to the MP although I never played that aspect on ME3.

I have pre-ordered the game bundle from the Bioware store with the remote controlled car.
If it's not from Origin, will I still be eligible for the pre-order items and such? Or is that only for digital pre-orders?
If so, how will I redeem the items?

Even if you didn't buy the game from Origin (e.g a retailer), it would still require you to use Origin in order to play it so that's how you would redeem the items. And I assume it would come with the preorder items as if you buy it from a retailer you still get them.
