Im just kinnnddd of expecting some big force cataclysm and I guess maybe what happened in the force awakens might be a symptom of it in a way??? the title is 'the force awakens' after all... it isnt 'rey discovers the force' or anything to do with the universe itself like the other titles... it isnt something that happened in the movie... its talking about the FORCE... so im thinking some big force cataclysm is gonna happen to me... all the other titles... its about something that happened in the story... the phantom menace, attack of the clones, revenge of the sith, a new hope, empire strikes back, return of the jedi... theyre all about something that happened in the story really... but not the Force Awakens... thats about the Force???

With sci fi and fantasy... I kinda assume everything is done on purpose??? So to me... The Force Awakens being similar to episode IV... was done on purpose... maybe to draw similarities between Luke and Rey... showing her parentage??? In-universe... some people with the force can see into the future... so there must be SOME link between the Force and time... so it might be some... cyclical event of some kind??? Something where the force has kind of... recreated similar events in a way??? its hard to explain what I mean haha... maybe some deep connection with the force is making similar things happen or something... I dont know haha to me at least I dont think theyd have similar plots by accident... either way I love The Force Awakens They definitely did it on purpose, to remarkably good effect.

I like the concept of the rule of two and how Bane implemented that, however I found the Bane novels to be a bit unsatisfactory in that they had some very convenient plot devices and things start going all hazy with the sith sorcery stuff. What do you mean, specifically? Well firstly there was the assumption that no other sith lines existed during the thousands of years after Bane's cleansing of the sith. Hard to imagine that no other followers of the dark side were present or came up to challenge Bane's model. Secondly as I mentioned, there is Zannah's sith sorcery which seemed way too powerful as with a lot of the older sith powers like the dark side tendrils, hallucinogenic sorcery etc. Bane's orbalisks practically made him a sith Terminator with enhanced everything! There was also the showdown with the 5 or so jedi after which they conveniently get to the only healer they know who manages to save his life and remove the orbalisks and then they fool the following jedi in a rather silly way by framing it on the healer, so on and on. It just seemed rather hashed up to me with the way it was written and with the way the sith powers were just straight up magic and I just felt like the writing didn't have a whole lot of subtlety to it.

Have you watched this one? It's really good. 7/10
It's a mixture of epic, mystery, tragedy, sorrow and cringe.

My biggest problem with The Force Awakens: - too many similarities to Episode IV - too many old characters... - not enough focus on the new characters
Original trilogy was Luke's story and the prequel's were Anakin's. Rey was supposed to be TFA's main character yet she did not have nearly enough screen time. Too much focus on the old characters and Finn (especially at the beginning). I liked Kylo Ren, but felt that Imperium was badly presented - they just felt like evil space nazis. That was lame and again it was too similar to Episode IV. Big disappointment. It was still a good movie, I enjoyed watching it, but I hope the next part will be more original and maybe focus more on the interesting new characters like Rey and Kylo.
Han Solo's "we're home Chewie", was the biggest *facepalm* moment. Super cheesy. Overall I wish they hadn't used so many old plots and characters... fresh start would've been much better. What I have always liked about Star Wars is the world - the force, dark and light side, lightsabers, jedi and sith... all that! There's so many wonderful places you can go and stories you can tell! For me it's all about the setting and not single characters.
I'm not looking forward to the young Han Solo movies... why couldn't they just make a new character? I'm sure Han Solo's not the only smuggler in the Galaxy. Also Rogue One seems... interesting. I just wish Darth Vader wasn't in that movie...

There may have been dark Jedi or other Force users who fell to the dark side (the dark Jedi from the third book, forget his name is a prime example. And in fact the lore says he mastered essence transfer and lived close to the full thousand years leading up to the prequels). But not true Sith. A Sith is specifically trained in the ways of that order, simply being dark with a red lightsaber doesn't count. And apart from the knowledge and artifacts that Bane and his descendants acquired, the Jedi purged everything they could find of the Sith. Being Sith on your own was going to be next to impossible. Finally who's to say some challengers didn't arise? In Plagueis we do have that other random "apprentice" that shows up to challenge Plagueis and his response is "bitch please." The Rule of Two was absolute though. Bane's Sith would've hunted them down and destroyed them, lest they expose the whole thing to the Jedi. The Grand Plan required not only mundane secrecy but the Jedi becoming complacent in the knowledge that the Sith were irrevocably extinct. Sith Sorcery is borderline reality warping in the lore, man. Comics did it way before Karpyshyn. See Naga Sadow blowing up a sun with just the Dark Side. By comparison Zannah's an amateur at the time of the second book. The dark side tendrils though are a special kind of awesome. I think Karpyshyn resorted to them because he was trying to hammer home the difference between master and apprentice and how to win Zannah needed to play her game not Bane's. Zannah can't beat Bane physically. But she has skills he'll never have against which his strength proved useless. Or more to the point inferior. I imagine by the same token Zannah's sorcery proved to not be enough against Cognus' precognition and Force dampening powers when she took over. Finally the orbalisks were proving to be almost actual plot armor so I don't think there was a way to make it 100% contrivance free. But it was still a better effort than you give it credit for. They went to Caleb not because he was the only one who could remove the orbalisks but because he was just that good a healer and if told the correct procedure (which Zannah had researched earlier) stood the best chance of pulling it off. As for tricking the Jedi, meh, people see what they want to see and it won't be the last time a Sith can make Jedi go full retard. Not to shit on Drew Karpyshan, but... Did you read the Revan novel? Utter Shi'ite! If you're not overly attached to Revan, it was only mediocre. Same with Annihilation actually. Theron=meh.

I almost guarantee Part 8 will be nearly identical to the empire strikes back. Luke takes over as the new yoda...would not shock me one bit if they kill him off in this movie.
