Or... It could just be a shit excuse of a Star Wars movie with a shit excuse of a Star Wars title. I'm kinda betting on the latter Fixed Lol get in line, Nat! Hey deerber I am going to let you in on a secret, after I got banned I made an alt, IDK if anyone else knows........ On topic, does that mean you hated the movie too? Well that's not a secret at all lol! I knew the first alts you made, then I kinda lost count after Alina, I think, with all the alts from everyone, but I'm sure there's always been some "you" there As for the question, yes, I hated it with a passion. From me, it gets 8/10 as a general movie, and 3/10 as Star Wars VII. And that's setting apart all the anger I've got over how they ruined my favorite charater of all time and made him die an idiotic death.

Well firstly there was the assumption that no other sith lines existed during the thousands of years after Bane's cleansing of the sith. Hard to imagine that no other followers of the dark side were present or came up to challenge Bane's model. Secondly as I mentioned, there is Zannah's sith sorcery which seemed way too powerful as with a lot of the older sith powers like the dark side tendrils, hallucinogenic sorcery etc. Bane's orbalisks practically made him a sith Terminator with enhanced everything! There was also the showdown with the 5 or so jedi after which they conveniently get to the only healer they know who manages to save his life and remove the orbalisks and then they fool the following jedi in a rather silly way by framing it on the healer, so on and on. It just seemed rather hashed up to me with the way it was written and with the way the sith powers were just straight up magic and I just felt like the writing didn't have a whole lot of subtlety to it. And in fact the lore says he mastered essence transfer and lived close to the full thousand years You mean Set Harth or whomever the Dark Jedi?

Oh, wow, I went to see the new Star Wars 3 times. Watching Rey pick up the light saber was a giant "Fuuuuck, yeah!" moment! Gave me tinglies and everything. Best Star Wars movie by far. Me too! 3 times in theaters and probably 4 times on the internet before the Blu Ray came out (hey, I ordered the Blu Ray and had pretty much paid for the right to see it on the interwebs at that point ) Mark Hamill said that when he was reading the script, he thought that moment was when Luke would appear (that would have been really badass, but what we got was awesome too). If you are talking about the moment when she pulls it toward her, when Kylo is also trying to pull it toward him; I just realized that you could also be meaning when she grabs it out of the chest in Maz's Castle. . Great film, I liked it the best out of all of them; slightly beat The Empire Strikes Back in my book. I really loved the duel at the end of the film and how the sabers sparked when they collided.

Regardless of the fact that this is entirely subjective, the fact still remains that you're objectively wrong. The newest Star Wars sucked such an incredibly massive dick that I honestly can't say with 100% certainty that it was better than the prequels, which is a mind boggling statement considering just how fucking bad the prequels were.

I wish they would make Kotor era movies. Love to see a Revan and The Exile movie. Lucas never realized what a cash cow he had in his hands. So many eras in the Star Wars universe that can be capitalized on.

Now that would be fucking amazing but it will never happen I have a feeling of. The new movie isn't horrible but they could have come up with something new. I mean it's another death star com on! Han dying sucked balls and especially the way he died could have done a better job there if he now necessarily had to die.

Now that would be fucking amazing but it will never happen I have a feeling of. The new movie isn't horrible but they could have come up with something new. I mean it's another death star com on! Han dying sucked balls and especially the way he died could have done a better job there if he now necessarily had to die. They ripped off the book so they just reversed the scene to fit their script was just basically the plot of three separate EU novels. Han takes the place of Mara Jade in that scenario with her dying at the hands of the newly minted Darth Caedus, and her still believing that there is good in him, hope for redemption despite that he has gone full blown Sith Lord. o.o That was a tragic scene, she's practically a secondary mother figure to him by that point, and he guts her. He stares into her eyes as the light leaves them, leaving her dead and broken to be found by her husband. Jacen Solo ceases to exist, Darth Caedus is born. All without any of the overly emotional daddy issues or any of that bullshit, Caedus was driven by ego, and self importance, he viewed betraying the Jedi and his allies as the most prudent steps to avert coming cataclysm. He's pragmatic, intelligent, not a whinny teenager. You feel shock at the fact this kid who was raised by Jedi his entire life, fought for them time and again, grew up in the shadow of Luke Skywalker, Kyle Katarn and numerous other legends of the New Order could cast it all aside. He's mature, and his thoughts and actions are given appropriate amounts of explanation and thought. Hell even as he enters his final battle with his sister during the conclusion of the Second Galactic War with Darth Caedus at the head of it, and covert backing by the Empire(which still openly exists in the EU) he finds the entire situation disgusting. The rebellion he is being forced to fight for the sake of claiming power, the inability of anyone to see what is coming, the fact he is forced to play the villain when he is only doing what has always done. Been pragmatic. Don't be mistaken though, he's a Darksider through and through, he murders, lies and uses rage and ambition to fuel his power. But that's just the difference between Kylo Ren and Darth Caedus. Jacen Solo was a fallen Jedi Knight with the abilities and skill set extending well into Mastery, as a Sith Lord he just grew even more powerful, in scope of ability, and usage of ability there can be no compare. Kylo on the other hand fights like some sort of mindless Sith berserker, some dipshit with no understanding of the force or how to draw it beyond using primal rage, he has no real training be it from his own order or the Jedi. so really when it comes down to it. Its just a another difference between these two different but basically the same person characters. With Jacen you knew him from birth to death, there are numerous novels, comics and what have you detailing his life throughout it. You see his growth, his maturation, his failures, his triumphs and at the end of the day. You invest. Kylo is just some jackass in a robe with a stupid looking mask. Even when you learn who is, why should you care?

That's the problems with movies and books. Script writers can't write a good sith lord without showing how emo he/she is. Sith lords in the books and graphic novels were far better. You never saw Exar Kun or Naga Sadow act like a bunch of emotionally unbalanced cry babies.
Darth Caedus was well written in the books. He didn't throw tantrums when things didn't go his way. He adapted and over came any obstacles that came his way. He was a villain you loved to hate, which is how I felt after he killed Mara.

Sith/Darksiders tend to be pissed off. All the damn time. They have to be. Rage, vanity, lust, these things fuel their power. But you know that. I mean mediation for Sith is basically them just focusing their rage.
