And they'll still manage to butcher the character somehow, no thanks. If they're track record with the original cast in the new films is any indication I do not want them going anywhere near Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Yeah, i can see why this didn't make it to the final cut.
Poor lines and delivery from Boyega, him using the term gun instead of blaster, and Rodney Dangerfield still has more respect than Phasma.
Yeah, all I got from that was a big mouthful of cheese. Still a better sendoff for Phasma than what we got, but the execution left a lot to be desired. Plus, the hand flying off just didn't work for me. It felt forced and like it was added purely for the hell of it.

Anything would have been better than what we got ...
Also on another note, i endorse Bill Nighy for Thrawn.
While I always endorse Bill Nighy for more cool villains (nothing tops Viktor though), I'm not sure he would work for Thrawn. Then again I am picturing him as Thrawn. On the other hand, you can do some pretty crazy blends with animation and I think he'd definitely have the vocal range for it.
So, it could work.
For Nighy i was thinking about cgi animation, and prosthetic makeup too.

They outfit Brienne of Tarth in chrome plated trooper armor in order to signify her badassery, but makes her job harder than Boba to a newly demoted side extra. Aside from Jake Dirtcrawler Is there any other character in Disney lore that knows such suffering?

"What's two times zero?"
Sufficiently understood and mastered Magic is indistinguishable from Technology. Those who can't, don't know how hard it is. Clark is the only reason people know who A'ja is. Clark forces me to watch a cancerous league. WNBA take in the cash and knock out Clark. Clark bursts viewer records and WNBA burst Clark's eardrum. WNBA bend their knees and bust Clark's knee. WNBA close their eyes and poke Clark's eye.

So much hate for the new Star Wars. I for one don't, and I've been a fan since birth. Call me a fanboy or shill as many times as you want (I honestly don't give a shit anymore. You're the internet, and nothing else). If that's just another reminder that I'm on the positive end of the fanbase, that's fine with me.

If this was true, what are we debating?
Here is the truth. (yes it's gonna hurt)
3rd wave Feminism is a joke. The first and second waves had very crucial and profound goals & motives, and were ABSOLUTELY necessary to make progress in society and bring us to our present day status quo. Speaking of which, women in today's western world have NO NEED for Feminism. It is a nice idea, but ultimately when applied to any tangible, real situation is ludicrous. ("Smashing the Patriarchy" is not equality) Today's feminism is akin to the social version of restless-leg-syndrome.
The sequel trilogy is powered by 3rd wave feminism. It is what is at it's heart. Of course there are other dumb ideas peppered throughout, but this misguided, juvenile "movement" is what is the fuel for this ever-descending series of films. Any non-biased audience member can attest to this. Also, this is the reason why so many loyal fans felt weird and uncomfortable during the initial viewing of this "film".
We all go to the cinema to enjoy a silly, fantastical space-opera, with fish-head creatures and lovable Yetis and laser-swords. Nobody goes to a Star Wars movie to have our current media blitz, our shitty real lives given a Sci-fi facade and shoved in our faces. We get more than enough of that crap every day, all around us. Is it really that much to ask that our escapism allow us to escape?

That's your problem then. Not mine. You can remain safe and sound with your form of Star Wars. I will gladly enjoy the whole package, and we can remain civilized. I will say no more. Goodbye. The End!

Not sure tbh. Considering I have to tolerate very unpleasant women in my family who their lives are ruined by 2nd W.F and they don't want to admit it. More likely you need to mix 2nd wave with post-modernists ideas and semi-progressive attitudes to see the big picture.
Seems like Disney doesn't really even understand their own villains too well. In pretty much everything Star Wars related that they are part of, the villains end up being pretty uninspired and uninteresting, often even lacking in being truly threatening. "Good guys' " own stupidity seems to be bigger obstacle than the resistance from their opponents.
But in a way that's understandable, the likes of Kathleen Kennedy don't really seem to put in the time and effort to understand anyone but people like themselves. Bad guys are bad because they simply are bad, that's it. Pretty dull, Star Wars desperately needs a good villain after likes of Tarkin, Vader and Palpatine. Them using these characters in newer works, while not always true to the character, is pretty much always better than the new characters they come up with.
Really wish some other studio would've bought the rights to Star Wars. I don't think Disney can turn things around unless a lot within the company itself changes. They are too used to success using same formula with the Marvel movies and such, they can't seem to do anything else.
