In a recent speedrun I didn't know about this and chose to run through the restricted area with a lot of lift and singularity to bypass the fight. I used this method with most fights and it turned out to be a minimal-XP run too, just shy of 34,000 XP (level 24). How long was your speedrun?

Credit to Animositisomina for finding this
I recently discovered in Mass Effect 1 there's an extra little "cutscene" on Eden Prime. If you walk up to the railing behind the beacon, the camera pans out wide, overlooking the burnt ground left behind by Sovereign and your squad makes a couple comments. Despite having played through dozens of times, for some reason I never thought to go up to the railing before. On a whim I did so for the first time, and it was a nice little surprise.

How long was your speedrun? The time embedded in the import save filename shows 6 hours, 35 minutes. I probably could have been quicker if I wasn't simultaneously plotting ways to minimize XP throughout that run.

When activating Legion, if you cutscene skip quickly enough, you can glitch Shepard's omni-tool to stay on their hand and wander around the Normandy with it. It will go away the moment you activate a loading screen. Until then, we have an amusing view of Shepard talking to Legion cross armed with an orange gauntlet on their arm.

There are a couple of soldiers on the right side when you enter Purgatory in ME3. They talk about Cerberus and how one of their squad mates died, Bilal. I talked to Ambassador Dominic Osoba before to get the Benning mission, and realised that they talk about his son because he mentioned his name earlier.

I discovered that the big XP reward at Noveria, given just after dealing with Benezia, is bugged if you go to the Hot Labs first. My guess is that the reward drops when the journal entry for "Noveria: Matriarch Benezia" is modified to say "Deal with Hot Labs". But if you already did that, the journal is updated instead to say "Mission Complete" and you get no XP (the notification shows just the final commando you killed). I know there are places where XP is denied as a sort of punishment, but this has to be a bug. Maybe it's meant to cancel out the XP you get for killing Ventralis' guards?

I wondered that too, but that ruling is not applied consistently. Whereas visiting the hot labs first automatically makes Ventralis an enemy (and the game gives no hints that this was going to happen), you can also deliberately make him an enemy by hacking the door in the restricted area. In this case you are not penalized even if you make the complete loop around Rift Station killing everyone. That's just mean in my book, though great for XP chasers like me.

The signs in C-Sec during the Cerberus coup attempt. There are posters about illegal AI that show pictures of geth - a marked improvement over ME2 where a couple of asari are prevented from traveling because they might be geth. Another sign cautions care with the volus since they were pressurized suits. I didn't read them all but found it interesting.

I discovered that if you deposit a tech mine in a fire, a level 2 or 3 hazard condition appears depending on the size of the fire. Likely this is because the game treats tech mines as allies (if you point your gun at them it will protectively point up). The problem is, the game does not release you from the hazard after the tech mine explodes or expires. You have to re-load from a save! I only discovered this because I threw this creeper into the fire then hit him with Damping. Oops!

After finishing Rannoch, the Far Rim and Perseus Veil are no longer seen on the galaxy map. When heading to Earth, all areas on the galaxy have a mini-me reaper, and the two area's I mentioned don't have a reaper since they no longer show up on the galaxy map. Does that mean those two clusters/nebulas/whatever don't get the space magic from the crucible? They might, but why are they removed from the galaxy map?

Still haven't figure out the squadmate preference to appear during Joker scene. My last ME3 playthrough ended with Liara appearing but I only use her for Mars, Menae, Eden Prime and Thessia. Goddamn I can't escape the creep.

Goddamn I can't escape the creep. Its the one taken on the most missions. Obviously it won't be the ones that were on the beam run. If two were taken on the same number, it would be who was talked with the most in the game.

I only use James, EDI and Kaidan for the entirety of the game. Kaidan and EDI was on the beam run, so it should be James at the cockpit. During the Jungle scene, it was James who come out last from the Normandy.
I also miss several Liara conversations too. I'll try again later without ever talking her in the game...

Even if you don't talk to Liara, just going into her room (ex: to access Glyph's upgrades) and hearing ambient dialogue will add "points" to her friendship score. This is one of the things the Backoff mod fixes. I haven't used it yet, but I plan to install it for my next ME3 game.

She even has priority when it comes to dialogue on missions unless its specific for another character. She even takes priority if dead by having her in the second flashback unless romanced. Excellent. At the fob, go talk to her. She will not offer her gift.

I'm really terrible with ME3Explorer. I hope the modder make a DLC mod or something.
Liara still offer me the Asari gift even if all I said to her in the trilogy was the renegade "why aren't you working? if I have to tolerate your criminal blue ass in my ship, you better earn your keep."
Also kinda sad that even if you say no to her last minute melding, she still whine about how I should give her something. facepalm.... sometimes I forgot how ME3 have a massive hardon on her....

But as Melbella point out, even simply being in the room with her raise her friendship point. However, I wanted James to show up at the bridge since he's my highest priority squadmate, I have him with me in most of the missions. I really didn't expect her.

I did that once (not getting the gift scene).. and I'd like to do it again. Not sure what to do to strike some balance. I don't want to outright ignore her either. I think it's lame what they did with her in general. She's ubiquitous. I romanced her in ME1, but still wonder WTF were they thinking? If you watch the documentary for ME2, you can see how much pride they took in being able to direct/craft your own stories. which characters and perspectives you valued, etc... That was less the case in 3.

Interesting since the times I have ignored her in the game, I went in Miranda's office and used the terminal for the upgrades without speaking to her, and still got her not offering the gift. I've had him in the c**kpit a couple of times. When I start my ME3 playthrough, I set it up so that its Javik who's seen telling Joker to leave.
