I just realized that before launching the assault on Cronos station, if you say to Hackett to wait, he becomes available on the QEC with plenty of dialogue I had never heard, including a new rejection of the idea of controlling the Reapers, since it takes place after Horizon. He also gives a direct order to kill the Illusive Man.

The one mentioned in the title is the only obscure fact.

The one mentioned in the title is the only obscure fact. Shepard was originally biotic. I'm wondering if BW had originally planned to make everyone biotic, or if they were just testing it out on all the characters.

Big Mordin fan here, didn't know the one in the title (or didn't remember), knew about the other things. I was never able to force myself to actually shoot him, so had to watch that. Love it, that even after a decade I learn/hear/see new stuff about Mass Effect.

Something insignificant. When Sparatus (or whoever your turian councilor is in ME3) comes into Udina's office, Shepard makes sure to remind him how the Council did nothing despite warnings. The thing I never noticed is that Shepard uses the air quotes thing to remind Sparatus about his complete dismissal of the Reapers in ME2.

"According to a Mass Effect 2 character document used during development, Mac Walters pitched the idea of a salarian assassin squad member who was a descendant of the League of One, obsessed with avenging his forebears' eradication akin to Indigo Montoya in The Princess Bride. He has information Commander Shepard needs, and he joins the squad as a sniper after being saved from Kirrahe's hunting team. His loyalty can be secured by helping him track one of his targets, but if Shepard prioritizes their overall goal the salarian may cause certain "difficulties" while on a mission."
Good thing this was scrapped so we could have more time for Jacob...

I'd get rid of over half of ME2's roster just to have that Salarian companion.
Another one from the ME wiki that made me laugh:
"According to Cinematic Animator Jonathan Cooper, Jacob was previsualized as a male/male romance, with his scene matching shot-for-shot with certain sequences from Brokeback Mountain. However, the animating team were told "America isn't ready for it".[1]
The "America isn't ready for it" part is what really made me laugh, despite the hilarity of the first part.

I don't know where this came from. That is, I don't know where it came from in ME3. I think it encapsulates why I tend toward the Paragon. We have the right to determine our own fate, even if it ultimately kills us. It's from someone named magnummaster.

It was odd how when the Shadow Broker was killed, he looked almost like an indoctrinated husk as he was melted by the ray shielding device after Liara shot it.
Would make sense since he did admit to working with the collectors in a "Mutually beneficial partnership".

Some I just noticed in MELE:
On the Rachni mission in 3, I took EDI and Tali and decided not to use the flamethrowers. I noticed that if you use Incinerate on the Rachni webbing, it will do nothing, yet Overload and Energy Drain will reliably. On SOME, EDI's Incinerate will work, but not Shepard's.
The pods display odd behavior as well. They'll respond to Incinerate in a bunch of different ways as with the webbing; same with Energy Drain.
Some even respond to Sabotage! Here they'll pop without the explosive effect they usually give off.
Seems as if they're technically different assets with the same skin

Since you as Shepard fires Incinerate power from your omni-tool to the enemy (as in it's not an instantaneous power use), the power could be going off the hit box. Since squadmates powers are instantly activated and impact enemies directly, it goes to the hit box because you're already targeting on it. Same for Energy Drain, Sabotage and Overload. Think of it like firing your power to an enemy that's behind cover if you don't aim the power to go on an arc. If he pops into cover while the power is going to him, it's still technically aiming on him, but it's off its hitbox.

Something I found out a few months ago but never documented here:
I was watching someone play through Mass Effect 1 Legendary Edition (Woolie Vs channel on YouTube if you really want to know), and there is some unique dialogue you can get on Noveria if you leave Ventralis and his squad to deal with the Rachni by themselves and then go back to talk to him.
I have never gotten that dialogue before since I have always stayed and managed to kill the Rachni, even if they bug out and glitch under the floor.

Doing a PT right now and will do Novaria this week. I'm gonna try that one. EDIT: Aaaaand got the new dialogue. Dam! 15 years down the road and you can still find new stuff in this game.

Read about that additional dialogue long ago (not LE). Tried. For some reason it is difficult to do. Several times tried to get away my sqaud not to help Ventralis, but even if Shepard did not help, my squad always had a part in killing the richni, do not know how (also the settings for the squad "defense ony"). Only once from numerous attempts managed to get that additional dialogue. After stopped trying. Maybe others will have better luck to get this dialogue with easier efforts.

Easiest to get if the Rachni glitches under the floor (which happens to me a lot, thanks to biotics (mostly Singularity)

I simply ran onward through the doors to the main area of rift station and started a dialoggue with the Elcor merchant right after finishing the dialogue with Ventralis. My squad teleported along nicely. Worked like a charm.

Once again, thanks to Woolie and Reggie on WoolieVs, I am seeing new things in the Mass Effect trilogy.
Today, on the ME3 mission to save the Turian platoon on Tuchanka, I saw what happened when you leave stranded Turians to an attacking Harvester.
(Reggie saw a ladder and took it while the Harvester dropped in. There was dialogue about going back to save the Turians but he just kept walking and the Turians just died/disappeared. Hilarious!)
