You can talk to Ambassador Udina in his office after every main mission (except the fourth one). He'll have different reactions if Zhu's Hope colonists were saved/killed, how you dealt with the Rachni Queen. I think you get results. As long as you keep getting the job done, there's nothing to worry about.I saw that in my last run of ME1 too and I was so annoyed that it took me several playthroughs to see it. Even then I kept forgetting to visit him. Do you know if you get paragon or renegade points in these talks with him? This may have already been said but the above post actually reminded me that you can talk to Udina after Ashley/Kaidan become Spectres and you get alignment points depending on your response. My renegade ended up saying that Kaidan would be a better cop than a Spectre. |

"Makes sense. The first e-mail you get when taking control of the Normandy is Anderson's saying "rumours you are alive" and that's just after Freedom's Progress where no one actually saw you." Of course people saw you. The insane Quarian clearly had access to surveillance cameras. Unless Cerberus confiscated the cameras or erased all of the recordings any investigator that would arrive later would be able to tell that quarians and cerberus were at the scene soon after the attack, and also someone closely resembling the late commander shepard. It's confirmed later in the game that TIM was sending anonymous tips about Shepard being alive. Plus, there's that video from Lair of the Shadow Broker where we see Anderson with a Cerberus Agent that handed him something. |

As long as you keep getting the job done, there's nothing to worry about.If you play on the PC and have the console enabled, it's possible to get all 4 reactions from Udina. After you finish the fourth story mission and before touching the galaxy map, teleport to the Citadel with this command: "at bioa_sta00 start_sta20_01". You'll arrive on the stairs that take you to the Wards Access corridor; just go up and head left to get to the Embassies. When you're done, use "at bioa_nor00 start_nor10_01" to return to the ship. |

This may have already been said but the above post actually reminded me that you can talk to Udina after Ashley/Kaidan become Spectres and you get alignment points depending on your response. My renegade ended up saying that Kaidan would be a better cop than a Spectre. He's not wrong. |

I was playing through the Citadel DLC last night, and for the very first time I noticed that you could talk with the bartender at the Sushi bar (before talking with Joker at the table). It is just a short conversation; he asks if you want anything to drink, and Shepard says 'no thanks'.
Got to be about two dozen playthroughs in the Citadel DLC and that's the first time I noticed that.

No. If ems is below 1750 and control is the only ending? Yes If ems is above 1750, she survives and will be the one that will put up Shepards nameplate. If ems is above 2000. Liara survives. So Samantha would not be the only LI at that point |

You should also know that completing such mission will grant you a special discount with her while purchasing items. You can sell items to her for very high prices. If you're playing on console, with no access to command keys that will lit you increase credits, then this mission is recommended to do very early on the game. And after completion, whenever your inventory is getting full, its advisable to take a trip to the citadel in order to sell the items to her.

I finished the mission as far as she's concerned since no one was blackmailing her anymore. I then got the discount. I just meant that there's an implication of more, since you're sent to Anderson who sends you to Kahoku. It may not be the same quest but related, just like "missing marines" leads directly to "hades' dogs". Though I suppose this one might lead to the same place. |

This path leads to the "UNC: Missing Marines" mission, with an extra half-liner that these marines were the ones who found Banes dead on a drifting ship (or something similar). |

So, while playing ME2 for about the sixth time through, I noticed that Shepard's mom is talked about over the intercom in Afterlife. At least, I think it's her.
I was going down the stairwell in the back (heading towards the side room with Patriarch) when I heard about an Alliance soldier that had been promoted, been given command of a ship or something along those lines. I've never caught this before and thought it was incredibly cool since your interactions with her are so minimal.

Yes, Hannah Shepard rejects a promotion to Rear Admiral so she can remain a captain in honor of her child. Unfortunately, I typically choose Earthborn or Colonist so Hannah Shepard is either MIA or dead (possibly dead in both). I do sometimes like to see the mentions of Shepard's mom, though. |

Wrex seem to ace parenting. He adopted Grunt into his clan but gave him to Shepard to raise. Adopted Shepard as his sister and then have a baby with Eve. Guess who is the babysitter again? hehehe always plan ahead
also, it occurred to me that Bioware have another trope which I never caught until now. Squadmate/Companion being reluctant and needing you to force them to 'talk' to their relatives (doesn't count the necessary conversation that exist to progress the story...).

Not sure in which thread to post, so I'll post some of my discoveries of Gibbed here:
Back on my first ME3 playthrough I found it strange that at the beginning of 'Priority: Rannoch' Tali acts like she's standing on her homeworld for the first time, despite of Shepard bringing her along on two previous Rannoch-related missions. To hear correct line - I keep waiting to get used to it. Being on the homeworld again. My world. - change boolean 17803 from 'false' to 'true'.
Also if Shepard discouraged EDI/FL Moreau 'romance' and you don't want Shepard acting 'renegade' with "the best damn helmsman in the Alliance fleet" after Thessia in order to avoid his pre-Cronos worrying over 'his girlfriend', use gibbed right before the mission: set boolean 20122 to 'true' and boolean 20123 to 'false'. It will quite significantly shorten the cutscene (use 'Understood' response for better consistency). Change both booleans to 'false' after that cutscene.
