I um...I just realized that the bathroom door in Shepard's cabin in ME2 actually opens outside of romance cutscenes.
It's ok if you're judging me for this right now. I'm judging myself, too.

When fighting Kai Leng on Cronos, if Shepard uses overload just as Leng hits the floor to recharge, he will stop right away and attack Shepard.
I've had that happen a few times before, not with overload, but with grenades. When I've played a biotic, I would use a cluster grenade. It would stop him from recharging right away. Even when I had Ashley or James. I would have them use a grenade just as he would hit the ground to recharge. He would stop. It makes the fight shorter and easier.

LotSB spy videos: David Anderson is shown meeting with someone in a Cerberus uniform. Seems very odd. Person doesn't look like Sheploo or my custom Shepard so that means he has other Cerberus contacts. Makes sense. The first e-mail you get when taking control of the Normandy is Anderson's saying "rumours you are alive" and that's just after Freedom's Progress where no one actually saw you. But then again, I think TIM didn't start leaking info you were alive at that point yet. Oh, and one thing that always bothered me is how you can hear news report on the Citadel saying that Shepard was reportedly seen on Omega, even if you never set foot there

The bathroom door does stand out after all. Plus, there's that space in the Map. Oh, and you can also flush the toilet. And can we mention the fact that in ME3, Shepard's bathroom is full of Heavy Weapon Ammo Crates?

From Nexus Uprising, apparently, Krogan Battlemasters are names for Krogan Biotics and rare as frak. and I love this; The Tuchanka Urdnot leader, Wrex, hadn't been a krogan who suffered fools, and Spender knew from diplomatic association that anyone who could impress him was bound to scare anyone else.

If you do the murder mystery sidequest on the Nexus... ...and discover that the Turian was innocent (sort of) and advise Tann not to exile him, he can be later encountered in the Hyperion's medbay, with Dr. Harry Carlyle preparing him to go back into cryo freeze. If you talk to the Turian he'll say that his wife left him when she found out the truth, and he wants to go back into cryo and not be woken up until Andromeda is settled.

If you never talks with Traynor, she's too shy to reveal about her idea of tracking down Kai Lang. Edi do it for her instead. If you only talks with James really late in the game, he asks if you got lost, or something like that, but still get to spar with him. If you never meets with Liara in the cabin and citadel, she doesn't offer to meld with you in the end.

Today I tried to compute what my cooldown for Sabotage should be and came up with 21.4 seconds. (9 points in Decryption + 1 point in Engineer + 2 points in Hacking + Nexus III omni-tool + Quarian Ally achievement = 40 x 0.96 x 0.94 x 0.66 x 0.9). But when I measured it with a stopwatch I got 25.1 seconds. Not quite 4 seconds difference but enough to pique my interest.
Turns out the base recharge times for ME1 tech skills are a bit longer than advertised (I tested this on PC). With a completely clean slate (no achievements) an engineer with Basic Sabotage must wait 65 seconds for the power to cool down, not 60. Similarly, Advanced Sabotage has a base of about 54.2 seconds and Master Sabotage has a base of 43.5 seconds, not 40.
The bonuses from Hacking, Engineer/Operative, armor upgrades, and the quarian ally achievement appear to be applied correctly to this base.
However, the tech cooldown bonus from the equipped omni-tool is off too. A Nexus III which shows a 34% bonus is actually closer to 29.5%. The 50% bonus of the Savant X is closer to 40%.
The differences aren't enough that I ever noticed before.

(Impossible to do on Xbox since you need to pause to check power cooldowns). I wonder if that is true for tech powers only, or if it also applies to biotic talents? Considering that AI Hacking supposedly can give you an extra +30% cooldown for tech talents, Engineer should have shorter cooldowns than the Adept, but it does not feel that way. I wonder if that is due to longer tech cooldowns than listed in the GUI, or if there is something funkier going on?

I am also curious about the biotic cooldowns; I want to see if the biotic amp is similarly gimped like the omni-tool. I will repeat these tests with a Bastion Adept when I get the chance. It occurs to me that the Bastion Sentinel gets a 24% biotic cooldown bonus from the Sentinel/Bastion tree but only 10% for tech. Not as balanced as I would expect from this class, though as you say, I don't recall it ever feeling imbalanced while playing.

Instead of shooting the geth, I shot the mako. You know what's funny? Getting in the mako and getting a critical mission failure screen a few moments later. excellent

"Makes sense. The first e-mail you get when taking control of the Normandy is Anderson's saying "rumours you are alive" and that's just after Freedom's Progress where no one actually saw you."
Of course people saw you. The insane Quarian clearly had access to surveillance cameras. Unless Cerberus confiscated the cameras or erased all of the recordings any investigator that would arrive later would be able to tell that quarians and cerberus were at the scene soon after the attack, and also someone closely resembling the late commander shepard.

Come to think of it, the main story of ME2 is pretty lame and hard to digest. The collector ship travels everywhere however the attacked colonies can not identify its unique signature. Also, the collectors disrupt communications whenever they are about to attack, but will not scramble cameras. its a wonder the surveillance cameras took 2 years to finally record them in flagrante delicto.

Not sure what triggered this:
Today, when planning the attack on the Collector base in ME2, and Miranda says she'll take command of the second fire team, Garrus interrupted her and said, "Not so fast. Half the people here don't trust you." Wtf Garrus, in front of everybody, that's cold.
Never had him do this before. This is a a straight-up Renegade run, both their loyalty missions had been completed with renegade resolutions where possible (let Garrus kill Sidonis, Miranda does not approach her sister).

You can talk to Ambassador Udina in his office after every main mission (except the fourth one). He'll have different reactions if Zhu's Hope colonists were saved/killed, how you dealt with the Rachni Queen. I think you get results. As long as you keep getting the job done, there's nothing to worry about.
