Reyes Vidal - No longer A Mystery (Official Thread)

Reyes could be someone with you can talk about other crew members. On the same way you did it with Alistair.  I have liked it.

This from the Rock Paper Shotgun article is heartening when considering non-squadmate crew romances at least..

"While your non-combat crew mates (the pilots, scientists, engineers and doctors) were very much secondary characters in previous games this time it feels like just as much attention has been lavished upon them by BioWare’s writers. Your crew interact with each other over the intercom, and have a real sense of presence in the world rather than being a thing that appears only when you’re nearby."

Why do you assume he's just a "token gay crew member" and not as important as someone in the squad?

I get what you're saying and I'm not trying to be dismissive of your concern. You are, of course, allowed to feel however you want about it.

My LI in DAI was Cullen and I felt that romance got every attention it deserved, despite the fact that he was not in my party. Yeah, I missed out on the little moments when out in the field but that ended up being not as big of a deal as I originally feared. (I was never interested in Blackwall, The Iron Bull, or Solas so I never bothered with those romances, even though they were party members and options for me.) So, because of that experience, I feel like it's possible that Bioware can absolutely make a romance with a crew member very fulfilling. It may not be exactly what youre hoping for, but you may be pleasantly surprised. All I'm saying is you may want to allow it a chance before giving it the big 'ol poo-poo.

For the record, I do have a vested interest in the crew (and people on the planets) having fleshed out romances. I'm very much looking forward to having another non-squad member romance like I had with Cullen. I found it very appealing in a way I didn't expect.

I am not amused with such uncomforting info.

If that was the case, you'd think they'd say that though, without being cryptic and sneaky and tricky with their answers and wording.

It's strange that they're holding out romances. Once the Prima Guide hits, people that want to know Reyes's romancable or not status and Suva's orientation will, very likely, get their information. I think a steady stream of confirmation would've been easier. At least for people on the ship, so people at least know that they're more LI's for their orientation.

Hell, some devs have even been confirming on Twitter and teasing. It might've been a better option for dev's super pumped about Jaal and Vetra to announce in a big official way, you know?

May the odds be in everyone's favor for the LI they desire!

Exactly, if they want us to "wait and see" who's gay, then they can "wait and see" if I'll buy their game. 

Anyways, I have high hopes for Reyes. I really want all the gay/bi M!Ryders to get the men of their dreams.

Oh Reyes, I feel as though I have neglected you, but there is renewed hope since I last posted in here.

Will be keeping my fingers crossed.
