A thing I posted in MEA:MP thread: All the weapons I noticed: - "Cora" (human female) has a new AR or Shotgun - Carnifex - Avenger - Piranha - Reegar - Sharpshooter Sniper 1 (looks a lot like a Viper) - Sharpshooter Sniper 2 (headshot scene, it looks like the Viper again, but not completely... maybe it's moded) - The Turian Sentinel ("Anarchist") has a Crusader - Revenant - Tempest (Liam weapon against the Hydras) - a new AR (Liam weapon against the Fiend) - a Beam Weapon (AR) that works with a cooldown (as the PPR) during the flamer bit - a new AR during the Overload/Fireballs remnants scenes - what is likely to be a new sniper (during the cryo scene) - Predator - a new AR that uses the Avenger icon as a placeholder (I guess) - a new cooldown weapon during the Anointed scene - a new SMG against the Pariah That leaves us with (at least) 9 old weapons and 8 new ones so far. There were new weapons in the Cinematic reveal trailers too (at least 3). I'm hoping for the Saber too. I think it's outshined by a lot of ARs and SRs, but I liked it a lot. I don't mind if they give up some weapons, since a lot of weapons are uninspired/repetitive (Wraith for instance). I'd prefer less weapons and more different mechanics over nostalgia/efficiency.

Definitely the Mattock. And by that I mean the ME2 one, not the pale shadow of its glory we saw in the third game. And of course the Claymore. Because everyone needs a massive boomstick.

My favourite weapons were the (ME3) Viper, (ME2) Tempest, (ME2) Vindicator, Carnifex. The Revenant was fun too, possibly not quite good enough to justify its weight in ME3

Vanguard does not need a gun. /thread That said, I grew to love the Talon, Scorpion and Acolyte. I almost exclusively used pistols in all three games. Absolutely hate SMGs. Never used them. I used the Phaeston on my MP vanguard, it was suprisingly good (those few times I actually remembered to fire it), and 200% cooldown was nice.

I don't think we saw weapons, but from the gameplay trailer armor certainly looks customizable in a DAI-ish way: separate head, chest, arms, and legs, and each of those has slots inside of it that change its properties and appearance. I'd say it's pretty likely weapons have something similar (if it wasn't blatantly shown and I'm missing it). I agree with what the handsome otter said

I loved how they added visual weapon customization in ME3, but I haven't seen any concrete evidence that it's making a return in ME Andromeda. So I'm just wondering if anyone knows. There is definitely some sort of weapon modding - look at the text in the centre of the wheel:

Every weapons in ME2 were in ME3 but a lot of them were only shadows of their former selves, with the exceptions of the Claymore, the GPS and the Widow. I don't expect old weapons to work and feel the same. In fact I hope old weapons will be obsolete after the first missions in MEA.

Not seen anything t do with weapons yet but seeing as w edo see her selecting disruptor ammo to deal with the bots.Iwould imagine you can build or upgrade stuff of your own. You'lllikely hav some basic gear to start off with like in all of these games so you're not completely defenseless but after that what you need you'll need to buy loot or make from resources on your own if you want anything better just as the guy in the last trailer says but then it should be that way considering it is an RPG after all

*snip* If we could get a gun that behaves pretty much exactly like the N7 Piranha - which, yeah, is confirmed in - but doesn't look like it, that'd be great. I used the Piranha all through ME3, and never got tired of how it felt to fire, but the aesthetic isn't really to my taste. Oh, and an N7 Eagle pretty much as-is. Loved that gun. I really like the look of Peebee's pistol on the Game Informer cover, too, so here's hoping we get to use one like it. And that it's, y'know, actually good. I agree on the Piranha, was never a fan of its design... at least for a shotgun. I feel like it was designed as a grenade launcher and was changed partway through development for whatever reason. Or at least, it looks like it The Eagle is underrated, and quite unique, being fully-automatic. And it's a variant of the Phalanx (also underrated)! It has an interesting firing sound, too, even if not overly threatening. It's great with Marksman Also, I was amused at its description, which is also one of the few real-life references in ME lore: "The Eagle is named after the Desert Eagle, a classic handgun which gained a romantic reputation among gun collectors, thanks to its popularity in 20th- and 21st-century Earth action movies." Yah. I get the whole 'rotating thermal clip... clip' thing, but it just looked goofy to me. I'd much rather something like a 'tougher' version of the standard Scimitar, honestly. And yeah! A big part of why I like the Eagle so much is that weird firing sound. It's a very... I dunno, 'sci-fi sounding' gun. Like you're firing little bolts of energy or something. And I've apparently never read that Codex entry, 'cause I had no idea it was named after the Desert Eagle. Kinda obvious in hindsight.

My goto weapons were the BlackWidow, the Geth Plasma Shotgun and sometimes the Crusader. I know there's probably very little chance of the GPS showing up, but I'm still hoping on the other 2... Actually, the Geth Plasma Shotgun could easily fit the timeline, since it was usable in ME2 (and presumably existed in ME1), before the Arks leave. I don't even think the timeline even matters... I mean they added the Piranha, a shotgun developed during the Reaper war. That's literally pissing over the lore.

There is definitely some sort of weapon modding - look at the text in the centre of the wheel: Correct. If anything, that's proof enough that customization is in the game. And it also applies for armor according to the crafting scene.

I mostly was an assault rifle guy... M-96 Mattock, M-99 Saber, N7 Valkyrie and Turian Phaeston. Secondary I'd either go M-13 Raptor/N7 Valiant or a M12 Locust/N7 Eagle. I know the Locust probably wont be back, since it's pretty much an antique, and I don't think we'd get N7 gear... at least not right of the bat. So, yea: Mattock and Raptor it is. yeah I'm moer assault or sniper rifle anything that's accurate and can take enemies out at range just like Garrus

I hope we can craft weapons or at least mod them to the point of being OP. It was super satisfying to craft weapons that were way beyond your level in DA:I. Starting at level 12 I was going beast mode on several dragons with a crafted Elgar’nan Enaste bow. Good times.

One of the only weapons I've never used. I also never got to use the Collector SMG, since it never was never available in SP. Those two alone eluded me in the OT. As cool. As the Blackstorm looks, I don't imagine I'd have put aside the arc projector for it. That thing is too useful, and only gets sets aside when the Cain comes out to play with Terminator-Reaper.

I hope they put some thought into the lore when including these weapons, and don't just throw in the lot "because MP". At least update the lore if it needs an update. For instance, the Widow shouldn't be usable by Ryder, as is. It would need adjustments in order to be fired by a non-cyborg human. Other weapons might present timeline conundrums. If they're included, I want proper lore explanations in the lore-blurbs. Some of us read and dig the lore.1. Actually, the ME3 Widow is a new variant designed specifically to be able to be used by non-synthetics, and the Black Widow is yet another attempt at improvement by the Alliance, so I'd figure those are the ones Ryder and co. would be using in ME:A, not the ME2 original variant. 2. But I agree they shouldn't break lore, much as I like all the weapons. However, after going through the descriptions of all the weapons I was concerned about, they should all fit. The Kyrsae was my biggest worry, since I remembered it being designed during the Reaper War, but I remembered wrong; only the specific variant of Krysae in ME3 was, it was a Turian anti-matériel rifle before. Some of the others don't list specific invention dates, so they're good too, like the Quarian anti-synthetic weapons.
Nice work on the extra leg-work, double-checking all of that lore! Looking back, it makes sense that they'd already covered their bases with the M-98 Widow in ME3. We did find it in an asari sniper perch. I left the image in this quote because I want to comment on it. The weapon on the left has been confirmed as the Avenger AAX5. It looks pretty badass in some of the images; especially on the Ryder stature that has it in all black. I hope it is a good weapon that stays relevant throughout the game. This indicates that the Carnifex frame on the right may end up being an Ai-specific design-- not that it will, but that it may. It may also be the same ole Carnifex we know. You mentioned energy weapons, like the PPR, and we know Andromeda approximations will appear. I do hope we will have something along the lines of the M7 Lancer, though. I prefer shooting slugs, but will never love clips. (They never should've introduced me to an "ammo-free" design. Now, I'm ruined forever, or at least until the new way is executed with less unsightly thermal clip clutter.)

I'd like to see the M-37 Falcon again, the automatic grenade launcher. With a 2x optic and upgraded for a 5 shot magazine it was a great weapon. There is something about quickly flinging a couple very fast highly accurate grenades into peoples faces.
