I find myself in a weird position because I never really scoped up my Assault rifles, at least during the SP campaighn....though I did in MP...and never really had a problem with it...I guess? I just like to see my character in these kinds of games, so I prefer to not use scopes and stick to over the shoulder. :S Me too but one long range weapon is usually required.

My fav were the Carniflex pistol, because of its stopping power, and the mattock a. rifle. unfortunately in me3 it only had burst shot so looking forward to adjust it to fully auto this time. I'm sure that when it comes to weapons there won't be many dissapointments, i'm more worried the chosen weapons won't appear in the cutscenes.

The mattock was semi-auto, the Argus was burst fire and the Harrier was full auto. I hope all three make it to Andromeda. I'm also really interested in the L86 Halberd that we so very briefly.

After all the gameplay videos and all the menu screens we've seen I have the feeling that we will not be able to give our squadmates a new weapon to use, or take their gun and use it. In all the footage I've seen they use their signature weapon or a generic avenger. If this is really the case then it's really a shame to be happening in a game where we will regularly find new weapons in crates and containers.
We know already that we cannot change their armors, but weapons too? Can someone with a tweeter accound ask Ian Frazier about this?

In line with the powers you want to see return...this is the weapons you want to see return in the game. From melee weapons to Sniper Rifles. Only 'rule' is try not to say a weapon we already know is in the game. Which includes, to the best of my knowledge, Revenant, Piranha, and Reegar. May wish to update this OP. We've definitely seen the Eagle, Hurricane, Tempest/Charger, Viper, Falcon, Valkyrie, Widow, Mattock, Hornet, and Valiant so far, and I probably missed some.

1. Actually, the ME3 Widow is a new variant designed specifically to be able to be used by non-synthetics, and the Black Widow is yet another attempt at improvement by the Alliance, so I'd figure those are the ones Ryder and co. would be using in ME:A, not the ME2 original variant. 2. But I agree they shouldn't break lore, much as I like all the weapons. However, after going through the descriptions of all the weapons I was concerned about, they should all fit. The Kyrsae was my biggest worry, since I remembered it being designed during the Reaper War, but I remembered wrong; only the specific variant of Krysae in ME3 was, it was a Turian anti-matériel rifle before. Some of the others don't list specific invention dates, so they're good too, like the Quarian anti-synthetic weapons.
Nice work on the extra leg-work, double-checking all of that lore! Looking back, it makes sense that they'd already covered their bases with the M-98 Widow in ME3. We did find it in an asari sniper perch. I left the image in this quote because I want to comment on it. The weapon on the left has been confirmed as the Avenger AAX5. It looks pretty badass in some of the images; especially on the Ryder stature that has it in all black. I hope it is a good weapon that stays relevant throughout the game. This indicates that the Carnifex frame on the right may end up being an Ai-specific design-- not that it will, but that it may. It may also be the same ole Carnifex we know. You mentioned energy weapons, like the PPR, and we know Andromeda approximations will appear. I do hope we will have something along the lines of the M7 Lancer, though. I prefer shooting slugs, but will never love clips. (They never should've introduced me to an "ammo-free" design. Now, I'm ruined forever, or at least until the new way is executed with less unsightly thermal clip clutter.) Have you or anyone else encountered the AAX5 in game yet? Like craft/bought it not just seeing it in cutscenes. I desperately want this rifle and Ian isn't replying to my tweets about it
