I wanna see the M-99 Saber and M-55 Argus. Those were two of the coolest looking and best sounding guns in the game imo. Too bad the argus had horrible recoil. I would have liked to have used it more. EDIT: OH and the particle rifle was awesome. Probably won't be around though. Saber had crap recoil too. just hope they will introduce a rifle that has the hitting power of the saber but the rate of fire and recoil control of the mattock. clip should be about 8 rounds (aka m1 garand rounds) 4-5 in the clip should be considered a sniper rifle

I'd say give it better recoil and that ought to be enough.

I hope we'll be able to equip every gun with optical sights. While I totally like the third person nature of the Mass Effect games, when there is gunplay involved I like aiming through sights and not some cross hair. I really like how that was handled in Mass Effect 3, worked great for me.

No, just as I said - optical sights - is an umbrella term for sights that rely on optics, in contrast to iron sights. Optical sights aren't necessarily always scopes. I'd like to see red dots, scopes, night vision, hybrids of those etc. All the top notch aiming devices we're already using nowadays, just much better and cooler because future and stuff.

Could be a bit on the problematic side for a non shooter to include things like Red Dot sights and it may not really work for the Third person perspective. But, like I said, could be interesting.

Well, when you zoomed with a sniper rifle in the previous games (even in ME1) you were put in the scope like it was a first person shooter so... it shouldn't be too hard at all. Just make some snazzy futuristic scopes and optics and you're good to go.

Usually followed by the satisfying "pop" of a Cannibal's head exploding... Much love.

Just make some snazzy futuristic scopes and optics and you're good to go. i don't see much use for so much work for one type of weapon. visible scopes were a sniper only-thing, the exception being attachements in ME3. I somehow doubt they'd invest time in making like, i dunno, between 5 and 10 different scopes just for that purpose. Some kind of night vision seems more reasonable, since this is muck quicker & simpler to implement, but only if there's use for it. I could be mistaken, but iirc ME never had a lot of "dark" levels to justify it.

The 2 that are my go to weapons in ME3 are the N7 Valkyrie and the Talon pistol, anything else is interchangeable for me, so those are the two that I'd like to see come over.
Something else that I would like to see is an option to carry heavy weapon. I loved having the Grenade Launcher with me in ME2, comes in very handy.

One of the only weapons I've never used. I also never got to use the Collector SMG, since it never was never available in SP. Those two alone eluded me in the OT. As cool. As the Blackstorm looks, I don't imagine I'd have put aside the arc projector for it. That thing is too useful, and only gets sets aside when the Cain comes out to play with Terminator-Reaper. I. Will. Never. Use. That. Gun. Again.
Unless the Blackstorm time delay is lessened. I know it is a blackhole weapon -still... I would not mind to use it again.
Till then Arc Projector forever!

I used it over the arc projector for most of the game, it was insanely powerful with its multiple effects on enemies.

Has Bioware commented on how scopes/weapon sights will work?
i.e. If we attach a scope to the Avenger, does it revert back to the original Avenger model that had an integrated scope? Or does it get slapped onto the top of the weapon in horribly, lazy, ugly fashion like in ME3?

Could always just pretend that there was a camera array underneath the top barrel, in-between both barrels, or even inside the un-used bottom barrel. Either way, I'd prefer weapons like the Avenger, Mattock, Vindicator, etc have their scope models integrated rather than lazily slapped on top using generic scopes that don't fit or even line-up with the weapon model.

If they're relying on camera arrays, they could rely on the helmets they would realistically rush into battle with. But I agree with you as a whole, slapping the scope on top of most of the weapons looked weird and only meshed with a few weapons.

Seeing the way the top of the Avenger opens up when reloading now, I'm not sure we're going to be getting that integrated scope though. Either way, I've tweeted Ian Frazier about it. If he gets back to me I'll post it here.

I find myself in a weird position because I never really scoped up my Assault rifles, at least during the SP campaighn....though I did in MP...and never really had a problem with it...I guess?

I just like to see my character in these kinds of games, so I prefer to not use scopes and stick to over the shoulder. :S
