Is it likely to be like in ME2 and 3 where you only have to unlock the weapon?

Is it likely to be link in ME2 and 3 where you only have to unlock the weapon? I preferred this. The leveling was then accomplished via "research upgrades" that improved damage, shots per clip, accuracy, etc... across weapons types. They could do a combination of the two, if they think the ME2 method makes it too easy to level all of our armory too quickly. I preferred the ME2 method because it at least tried to apply a veneer of story to a very gamist element. Yes, weapons must be leveled with our characters and challenges. It's all very gamist. ME2 tried to make it sound like it was part of the world, by having us research new upgrades for our gear as we discovered new tech and applications during our adventure. It adds more to the experience for me than "pay X credits to raise your weapon to level 2". While it was functional, it was also pretty lame for an RPG.

Bioware has to watch what weapons will make their way to Andromeda! Some are very dificult to explain, like the "Reegar Carabine". If I remember correct, it is a quarian weapon who appears in the middle of ME3, so, how can it be on the ark if no one knows that that weapon is even existing?
Another Point is, the Support for weapons. Would you send weapons to Andromeda, if you aren´t be able to reproduce them? If you have the blueprints for a weapon, you can build them if you have a fabrication unit who can do that, and i bet that the ark has a fabrication unit. But, if you haven´t the blueprints for a weapon, you can throw it away if the weapon has a damage, and of course, a blueprint and raw materials are easier to transport than a giant weapons collection.
Weapons that are difficult to explain for Andromeda are, geth weapons, quarian weapons and batarian weapons.
My favorite weapons are: Black widow, Mattock, Carnifex and the N7 shoutgun.

Old weapons will be in Andromeda if they are cool, logic is not a requirement.

The explanation we will get probably is that those "ME3 era" weapons in ME:A are be based on prototype blueprints which were already existing during ME1/2 times.
Some might simply be named differently, for ex. Reegar Carbine will be named "Whack 'em n' Zap 'em Rifle" ect. for "cope" with the lore.

Revenant. 'nuff said. But please make it in the style from ME2. I'm a sucker for heavy machine guns "If you shoot it enough, it doesn't matter where or how you hit it."

I miss the Revenant, quite literally. It was an awesome gun in ME 3 but it was not the unstoppable juggernaught of destruction and godhood that it was in ME 2.

Yeah I miss the ME2 Revenant as well. playing soldier+Revenant+adrenaline rush+ any ammo type meant that everything died I just hope that the MEA version isn't a pea shooter and does the ME2 Revenant proud

I understand that in order to balance it, they might have to give it super recoil or a low accuracy or something. But please, make it strong! And make it the bulletsprayer it was before!

I want overheating weapons back as a ammo mod or multiple weapons to pick from. Specifically I loved ME3 Lancer and the Prothean Rifle.
Of non-overheating type I loved the Harrier, the Talon and the M11-Suppressor.
All in all to what concern weapons they can disregard the lore for me. Bring back all those weapons and the overheating type. More choice is always better.

I wanna see the M-99 Saber and M-55 Argus. Those were two of the coolest looking and best sounding guns in the game imo. Too bad the argus had horrible recoil. I would have liked to have used it more. EDIT: OH and the particle rifle was awesome. Probably won't be around though.
