Well i would hope that being a super boss, if it kills you on first contact despite your best efforts then clearly your not yet equipped to deal with it, any thing else is a waste of time.

I'm willing to lower dificulty if gets really frustrating in any case, and, looking at the bright side, I take it as a good sign that, at least, an contrary to what happens in Inquisition, it seems if you want to you can, and that you're not actually forced to do some side-quests

I enjoy playing through the ME games as quickly as possible. It adds replay value. Wouldn't worry about it. With traditional ME difficulty you'll be able to own anyone with starting weapons on level 6.

That sucks. I enjoy playing through the ME games as quickly as possible. It adds replay value. I'm sure that you can beat the game even if you blaze through it. It is more likely that they mean that you will not have a easy time if you skip everything but the main mission. As is expected, it should not be too easy beat the game. But then, there is people that most likely will beat the game on insanity with just a pistol and say that it is to easy.

I'm guessing like Inquisition ME:A story quests will have recommended skill/gear level requirements and if you don't constantly keep your gear up-to date by proactively scavenging resources for upgrades and schematics you're going to fall behind the difficulty curve and the game will become a lot more challenging which is a more effective way of encouraging exploration and users to undertake side-questing to level/gear-up then strictly enforcing level requirements imo.
I really do hope story level/gear requirements are suggestions and not mandatory like DAI... if some people are not having fun and want to speedrun the critical path or enjoy the story first even with s****y gear then the game should let them otherwise they will just put the game down.
Having played DAI again recently I hope ME:A does not attempt to block progress by forcing arbitrary systems e.g. power requirements in the late game to pad out the run time and force users to complete tons repetitive filler they are obviously trying to avoid in the first place. There is definitely a point in D:AI where the fun stops and you have to post-pone Armageddon to do enough menial tasks to reach the power count. Having used up all my power right at the end by the time I attained 40 power again I'd almost forgot what I was fighting for. I hope the key thing BioWare learned from D:AI is that you can't punish people for not enjoying your tedious filler content because it compounds bad game-design with bad storytelling.

Wouldn't worry about it. With traditional ME difficulty you'll be able to own anyone with starting weapons on level 6. Why level 6?

For enemy ID, I'm anticipating that it may work a little more like Borderlands where, if you are under-leveled relative to the enemy you're facing, you hit a point where you just can't damage them... and the red skull appears.

In Borderlands, they also give you a recommended level number in your journal for each quest as you receive it.

Although, if those bosses are like the huge thing in the N7 day trailer. I'm so going to nope-out the moment I spot it personally. Did you look at that thing? You need a spaceship to take that out.

Yes, I was thinking about that when I thought that difficulty could be similar to that of DAI when you're a few levels under what you're supposed to, that maybe the biggest concern should be that if side missions give you too many opportunities for getting better gear or gaining experience, by the end of the game in a completionist pt the challenge is gone even for someone like me in nightmare. A toggle like the ones we got in DAI with Tresspaser to add some specific challenges would be nice, just in case.

Indeed and I thought the thresher maws were scary but yeah I'd run like hell as well even a Krogan would have to think twice about taking on something like that. Sounds like DAI a little bi tin that case in som areas of the mapyour going to run into enemies that'll kick your ass if you attempt to deal with them too soon. Like for example you attempt to taske on the Fif you try to take the Fereldan Frostback as soon as you unlock the Hinterlands whereas it's smarter and wiser to build up your equipment and skills until your at least around his level.

Borderlands was also an absurdly cheap and hella frustrating and tedious grindfest based on numbers and not player or character skill.
