Committing genocide against the Kett is a must?

This is honestly one of my only complaints about Mass Effect: Andromeda. I don't want to be the space-version of Christopher Columbus. I hella hate Christopher Columbus for being a bloodthirsty monster and slaver. That's not to say that the Native Americans were absolutely perfect tree hugger angels who did nothing wrong and didn't get into wars with each other or massively kill of wildlife and destroy much of their environment, but they had a right to autonomy and not being fucked with.



I really like that Bioware will allow us to sympathize and empathize with the Kett, and won't just paint them as stereotypical savages or complete monsters, because I can already smell hints of imperialism and white man's burden or the human's burden, to uplift seemingly lesser races or species because they are obviously savages are we are heroes and perfect angels.



But that's not to say that I will be a complete pacifist. If the Kett refuse to cooperate or dialogue or empathize with us and instead attack us unprovoked, then I will definitely wage war on them.

To be fair columbus was also a child rapist and played a big part in the genocide of the people who originally lived in what is now haiti and the dominican republic.

Actually they wiped out an entire diplomatic caravan that was bringing them alot of gold. Then when he sent another caravan they did the same. Still doesn't justify it all but it wasn't just a one time thing

I distinctly remember wiping out a certain synthetic race at the end of ME3, plus failing to intervene/stop the extinction of Rachni.

I say forcefully deport them onto poor 'reservation planets' instead.

No Thank. I am not EVIL enough.

Even Kett is a threat, I don't think the entire race will feel the same. For the worst is, Destroy Kett's force and dominate the rest (If they have group that not violent on us, I will let them govern instead). But I prefer use diplomacy first.

I don't think all of star in Helius have civilize, It must have some star that we can establish without cause conflict to Native People.

yeah Ionly fight when I'm not presented with any other option normally I prefer to be as diplomatic as possible.

If some real aliens are monitoring our media they'll know exactly what to do before they ever make contact.
