I have always thought that I'm a cynical and negative bastard (and some people think so too) but since I started hang more often on BSN (old and new) I have realized that I'm only a cynical bastard. There is so much negativity (not just your thread) that I am surprised that we havn't created a Chaos god yet.  You are still alive. Things aren't really that much worse, we're just being exposed to a lot more of the bad going on in the world and people are more negative than they used to be so it only seems that way.
but ME:A will probably be at least decent.
At least 2016 was a pretty good year for gaming. Especially if you're a shooter fan.

The chicken little mentality in the US is so high right now. The presidency will not have that great of an impact on your daily life. I'm sure he will do some good and some bad like most every president before him.
As for ME, I have solid hopes of an enjoyable game.

Wow, George Michael just died. So 2016...you're really rounding out the year huh? Going out with a bang?  The world has always been shit, terrible things have always been happening, wars have always been fought, innocents hurt and atrocities forced upon us. Yet the last few years with social media and the internet we've been bombarded with that news 24/7. A decade ago I checked the news once in the morning, once at night, and forgot about it the rest of time. These days it's constant, twitter, facebook, youtube and news channels churning it out and upping the drama to get more viewers. I'm unplugging and limiting myself, not checking the news as much and ignoring twitter a lot of the time. It's healthier. I'm very much looking forward to Andromeda, there's nothing more immersive when you're sick, worried or in pain, than a good video game with engaging characters and a decent story. It's coming out at just the right time.  |

2016 is unequivocally awful. For some reason I assumed 2017 would be amazing by contrast. Like something great will happen next year. It's just gotta. To even the cosmic scale. Like Obama's installed legal traps and failsafes in everything and Trump's hands will be tied or something and the Trump issue won't be so bad, and meanwhile everything else goes swimmingly.
