On that subject I plan on just starting the game as soon as I get home from work so I can have pllleeennnttyyy of time to mess around with the CC. I have a few ideas on my character's looks. Trouble is I can not tell what a lot of the siders and things do.

Crimson haired Pathfinder with a buzzed sides/combed look...deep brown eyes, wicked-sweet grin.

He likes to drink watered down Ryncol with his Krogan buds when in the Terminus, but since being based on Luna for AI training...he's been all carrot and beetroot juice. Likes the ladies, loves his video games, plays golf and spins ancient vinyl in his spare time. Loves to chill and be social, also has a thing for Ardat-Yakshi and Hanar Hentai.

Leans toward renegade-like decisions generally, but has a heart of pure gold when it comes down to it: won't needlessly kill civilians, unless absolutely necessary. Approaches combat with a biotic+tech combination, not afraid to use heavy weapons and AI though when needed...loves the smell of Red Sand in the morning.

Explorer of the Galaxy, personified.

There is a moment of sheer panic when I realize that Anderson's apartment overlooks the Presidium... and is obviously more expensive than mine.

That's generally what I do with my characters. That's also kind of why I'm holding off on making any decisions final until the game's in our hands because if I can't get the look I want then I'll need to rethink what i want to do. I'll come up with something either way I know that much it's just a question of what.

That's cool! I wish I could sketch things. I have had a lot of ideas of cool scenes/people to draw (most forgotten by now) but can't translate them into anything.

I'll just have to see what the CC is capable of come launch.

I just find out everything I can about the protagonist's background so the character can reflect that. So far, all I know is that the Ryders are mid-20s and this is their first big adventure that is going to turn them into a hero. So I would have a hard time scarring up the face if they're brand-new to all this. I still need to find out more though.

All I know is that she can't look anything like my Shepard. That's it.

Yeah I've always wondered what my life would have been like if I 'd have had a sister rather than my brother in fact Carver in DA2 kind of reminds me of him back when wewere growing up as we didn't always get along. I think I'd have got along if I'd had a sister like Bethany

Yeah, me too. I'll spend forever going through all the options, then I'll start the game with one, find out that she doesn't look how I thought she would, then I scrap the game and try, try again. This can happen 6 or 7 times before I'm finally content and will play through to the end. I start with an overall idea of how I want the character to look (maybe have a celebrity or model in mind) but usually I end up with something completely different from how I originally envisioned it.

The whole process of character creation is so delicious to me, though, that I don't mind spending the time to get it just right. I absolutely LOVE playing around with the CC.

yeah while I don't spend hours in the CC I do enjoy creating characters in them and seeing allthe different kind of looks I can create. Admittedly DAI's was dissappointing in one or 2 areas but I think MEA's will be better

I, too, was not thoroughly happy with DAI's CC. I kind of feel like all of the characters I created ended up looking somewhat alike, no matter what I did. It bugged me.

yeah the hairstyles are pretty weak in that game it's one of the reasons why I too to using mods on it but then luckily being on PC I could. I think MEA will be better though as I quite like Sara's hair and it's definitely a style I may use on her eventually although not with that face.

This is a bit out of the blue comment, but one of the things I look forward the most when a new game hits, are those "Share your character" threads where people post the screenies of their chars. I dunno why, but that always fascinates me. character creators are fun! mostly in other people's hands, lol.

Idk, this is actually a pretty good default female face. I may actually just use it. And I'll definitely keep the hairstyle unless there is one that just really jumps out at me. I tend to stick with buns and ponytails for ME games as I feel the characters are more military than say DA games where you can be a wizard and don't need to worry about your hair in combat scenarios.

Normally, I go far away from the default faces. But I like this one. I could see her being a sarcastic engineer (what I plan on playing).

Speaking of that, I wonder if they're going to make it easy for people to share their CC settings. I know that in ME you could easily with the CC code. It would be cool if we could have something similar in MEA.

Well I believe its already been confirmed that CC Codes are impossible with the Frostbite Engine so thats not an option.
