Male Romance Options

God, a gay Quarian would be awesome, and since they sort of said Vetra will be lesbian with Peebee (so probably only lesbian), since men can't romance any Turian in Mass Effect, Women shouldn't be able to romance Quarians... Oh that would be awesome.

It's all about personality first. Then voice. Looks/species (to a point - I couldn't see myself going for a krogan or a salarian and I don't understand the drell fascination) comes after. That said, I voted for 'no beard.' Because if I'm going by what I'd be attracted to in real life I'm into human guys without beards. And I prefer dark hair. If Scott Ryder wasn't my brother... and I'll stop right there because the fact that I even typed that much makes me feel dirty in a bad way.

Aaanyway... I'd really like to see and hear Liam, because I strongly suspect he's going to be an option. But if I find I'm not interested in him (or some other intriguing human male with a sexy voice who is awesome - still curious about our mystery man Reyes), the other thing I would love just as much is a male quarian. They're my favorite ME species, and I'm really hoping they make it into the game. A male quarian romance (straight or bi as I don't like playing male protags) would be icing. Turians are cool too. I don't find them attractive, but I love their design aesthetic, so I could certainly roleplay a character who does.

Male Bioware romances I've tried in order of most to least favorite: Solas, Garrus, Anders, Cullen and Alistair (tied), Zevran, Kaidan (ME1 only). However I enjoyed them all, with the exception of maybe Kaidan. I like his character a lot (and looks-wise he's closest to what I'd find attractive in real life) but for the romance I felt like I could take it or leave it, but to be fair I've never continued it in ME3.

What I really would love though? I want to romance a nerd. Someone really intelligent, and pragmatic, and perhaps a bit awkward. Solas and Garrus kinda hit some of those notes for me, but... if we had a human or quarian or turian version of Mordin I'd be all over that! Or, if anyone remembers Finn from the DAO Witch Hunt DLC? I would love a romance option like him! I'm also a sucker for the whole enemies to lovers trope. I know there was that whole rivalmance thing in DA2 but I couldn't do it - especially not to Anders, since he had enough problems already. I'm talking more a character who is hostile and suspicious at first, but it turns into respect, then more. You sort of get that with Morrigan and Jack and Miranda, but I can't really think of a male romance like that.

Favorite love interest? Garrus, garrus, and......oh yea garrus! i guess im kinda bias 

I agree i want a male quarian romance preferably without a helmet. I always thought male quarians had really attractive voices and even if i didnt like tali's offical look (which was that stock photo photoshop thing) that seems to be what quarians canonly look like. Javik also says quarians were considered attractive (in his cycle) so im sure male quarians are hot but of course i want him to have an awesome personality. If hes snarky or sarcastic hed be perfect!

A hostile romanceable male character would be interesting. I want a character like this for many years. But Bioware seems to prefer females in this role.

My girlfriend plans on making him look like Cullen, weirdness or no I might do the same at some point. I think it would be less weird for me. Currently I plan on leaving him default except for some features that make him look more like my Sara (eye colour, freckles, skin tone, hair colour, etc.)

I guess this is what happens when the only other person you can (fully) customize is your sibling rather than a romance. People finally have the freedom to make someone look how they want, and... yeah

So we can bang aliens that looks like birds, reptiles or fishes, other people of your same gender, maybe even transgender, but incest makes you feel dirty in "a bad way"?

Not to mention that it's even more anticlimactic than a nice boy from Vancouver, that after spending 600 years in cryostats to fly away all the way to Andromeda Galaxy you end up in a relationship with your own brother....

Oh, lighten up already. That's hardly in the same category.

No beard for me. Stubble is fine like with Cullen.
