If I have to choose between beard and Garrus, Garrus is my pick every time

But not a fan of beards in general...however if a guy with long hair had beard, I wouldn't object

As much as I am a huge proponent of facial hair, I have to agree that Bioware just doesn't do it correctly. The beards look like glue on fake beards. They give way too many variations of goatees/moustaches/soul patches and then have only one or two full beard options. And they have never been able to make eyebrows look appropriate for blonds or light redheads. I almost always pick stubble for my Bioware PCs, which is a shame. Especially since other games have perfectly decent looking full beards of varying lengths.

I keep holding out, though. One of these games, they'll get it right!

Huge full-bodied beards are a giant NO for me. Trim, well groomed short beards are a HELL YES. I also like no beards. And yeah, Bioware still needs to work on their beard game - they just don't look right. In fact, they just need to work on hair, period. I'm holding out hope that MEA's hair options will be a huge improvement.

Absolutely no beard, in my opinion. Facial hair is not something I'm particularly fond of but stubble can be okay and can actually be really attractive on some guys. Full on beards, though, have never been something I've liked. Not saying a guy should never have one or that a guy with a beard can't be attractive, just doesn't push any of my buttons.

I'd prefer an alien romance for a few reasons: the human companions have been lacking to me in this series; I've always had a fondness for relationships that bring together two people of radically different cultures or races and showing that they can form beautiful bonds between them that endure the world around them (Sex is not a focal point and doesn't even have to exist between them for a good relationship to be present); it simply adds new intriguing elements to a story that you just wouldn't get romancing another human.

In the MET, I loved Garrus' romance the most and felt he worked best for my femshep. I remember starting to like him after a few runs through the first game and I thought I was a little weird for liking a guy so alien, but I found others who felt as I did back on the old BSN and joined in the "Garrus should be a romance option for femshep" discussions back before ME2. I actually don't think turians are that alien. At least, not alien enough to be absolutely impossible to be attractive. I thought they were badass looking when I first saw Nihlus at the start of ME1. Never thought they were ugly.

Thane would have been my next Li candidate if Garrus hadn't have been available. He's poetic, cultured, and just has such a beautiful soul. I also liked his lithe build (my personal favorite on a guy). I appreciate the developers giving the drell voice a unique sound. I have a weakness for a great voice on a guy and the drell and turian sound filters for some of the actors sounds.... well, .

Of course, it all comes down to who he is for me.

Beards... yummy I do love a sexy bear of a guy. I even prefer scruff to clean-shaven. Of course that's a personal preference. Doesn't necessarily mean my character will share that preference.

For male love interests, since I will probably play BroRyder first and will romance a guy, I'm hoping for something a little different. I'm sure we'll get Liam (I mean we fucking better). But also would give my right arm (hey I'm left-handed) for a quarian boyfriend. Any chance SAM will be EDI 2.0? I'd also be down wit dat. Robot boyfriends are da best.

I'd be happy with a short beard as long as it looks ok within the game's graphics and isn't one that looks like it's just sitting on top of his face rather than attached to it. Otherwise, stubble is great and preferable to clean shaven, in my opinion. And I'm way more interested in humans than aliens when it comes to romance. If Scott has two male LIs and one is human while the other isn't, the alien would have to have an amazing personality while the human had a terrible one to make me gravitate toward the alien.

It's been semi-confirmed he's an LI, though we don't know for who. (We got a dev 'mhm' to whether 'they' (the Angaran) can be smooched, and 'ALL the bang' as a response to can we more than smooch?) Liam has actually not been confirmed as a romance, though it's very likely.   No word yet on anyone else as a potential for Rydette.
