And if you play it too early Shepard comes across as really dumb because all the main game dialogue assumes you don't know where the Reapers came from. Also puts you up against Banshees long before the main game introduces them. It really triggers far to early. Yeah it does really it shouldn't unlock til you get to the second half of the game really after the Citadel Coup like the Citadel DLC does. I don't tend to start playing it tlil after I've picked the quarians up and done the monastary mission with Samara. The only one really that you should be able to get away with doing early really is the Omega one with Aria. As Omega looks like you can play at anytime. I tend to do that one pretty early but it's the only one I do in ME3. Citadel and Leviathan are best done after the mid way point |

Some of the combat is quite challenging in this level especially the bit where you have to free Aria and keep the bad guys off of you at the end. Have to admit though that despite it largely being an all combat DLC with few or no decisions, it was fun and I enjoy kicking Cerberus's asses in it. It was interesting to fight alongside Aria and Nyreen though instead of our usual squadmates. I prefer and find it easier to work with my own squad but it was still fun. |

I can do them but they'er not easy parts. I'm usually alright with that fight. I hide in the buidling opposite the missile launcher and run round the aisles to avoid the Banshees. Get trapped sometimes but it usually works! The other really tough fights, for me, are the Clone fight and the Arnax Arena Mirror Match in the Citadel DLC. |

Either way if they do go after them which they usually do if there with me it makes it much easier to just pick them off. But yeah your strategy works too as I've used that as well sometimes. In fact I think I did that in my last run a couple of days ago to shake a Brute off me that was causing me trouble in that mission. |

I think it's only because they'er both played at the end of the story as I tend to save the Citadel DLC as pretty much the last thing I do before the final mission in my playthrough's. Although you can technically play it at anytime during the second half of the game it's best played I find just before that final mission I think. |

For some reason they are welded together in my mind. Still, Citadel to come. I think it's only because they'er both played at the end of the story as I tend to save the Citadel DLC as pretty much the last thing I do before the final mission in my playthrough's. Although you can technically play it at anytime during the second half of the game it's best played I find just before that final mission I think. One reason to play it early is if you want to experience the 'romance' bits with James or Javik (and, I think, Samara). Citadel unlocks just after the Coup and that's the point where you can lock in romances with the Virmire survivor or Liara (possibly others?) by talking to them in the Citadel. The James/Javik scenes don't trigger if you have a romance locked in so you need to do the Citadel party before that. Otherwise playing at the end is best because you have the maximum number of crewmates at the party. Although, I suppose it can also be interesting to try it earlier with less crew just to experience different dialogue. |
