Pretty sure that was the day I went from 'there's a new Mass Effect coming out? Cool,' to 'OH MY GOD THIS HYPE IS SERIOUS!'  I did notice an interesting detail in the Nexus briefing this time. The cryo pods have designations that start with the letter 'C.' (C157, I believe, is the one they showed here.) People keep wondering what that C8 on some of the armors might represent. Could these be connected, perhaps? Anyway, just 18 days to go... Soon TM has become 'soon' for real! |

Crafting I ignore unless I need it for one specific thing: Dragon Age Origins. Crafting I mostly ignore but I grind for one or two very specific things: Witcher 3, FO 4. Crafting I love and I almost get a visceral and very weird pleasure from creating things: Dragon Age Inquisition. So if its like Inquisition's I will be thrilled, but I get the feeling while it will be quite similar, that it will be different. And the potential diferences are what is getting to me. |

On the the 'plus' side it gave some European exposure, though given the set-up, not a great deal seems to have been done with it on YouTube, other than 'we had a good time'. Jane Douglas' reports from OutsideXbox were pretty good, but what this did for the marketing of MEA seems a little confusing as time and money were clearly spent on it.
Mass Effect Andromeda: Pathfinder Jane Reporting for Space Duty
At least this seems to have gone more smoothly than launching copies of Mass Effect 3 'into space'.

So I was right about no early reviews, although I suppose you can say 1 day before release is still an early review.
Not really a problem, early reviews show confidence, but late reviews do not show lack of it. Although I wouldn't be surprised if MEA has a very buggy launch.
