Honestly, I actually feel like starting a new PT right away! It's never happened to me before. I wanna be a Paragon again and romance Kaidan and Garrus and, well, pretty much everyone Even Jacob and James And I want to retire with Mordin to do experiments on seashells. Mordin, I love you so much :sob: It happened to me as well. ME blew away like I never anticipated and I couldn't stop playing ever since (of course I played some other games in-between, but I always return to ME asap). Well, pretty much all of us in here are that way, aren't we And I'm also currently planning to romance everyone. I never had the desire to do this in DA somehow, but ME is really different in that I want to see eeeeverything! So perhaps even a run like Mike did is someday on the horizon

Leng went to the PonyTail cluster. And in the Man Bun system.

deadlydwarf : For me, the main plot of the Citadel DLC was a bit too goofy I love tongue-in-cheek stuff, but I think it felt a bit out of place in ME3. Still, I enjoyed the DLC, because it had some great moments, like seeing Glyph with a bow tie. I guess the only major flaw with ME3 is that it could have been even more epic, but I think they did a good job overall, especially when they only had two years to make it. themikefest fraggle : Yeah, of course the cycle must go on, that much is obvious Still, not exactly sure when the next cycle will begin. Should I wait a few millenia for organic life to develop further, or perhaps should I start the cycle instantly? Honestly, I actually feel like starting a new PT right away! It's never happened to me before. I wanna be a Paragon again and romance Kaidan and Garrus and, well, pretty much I started playing ME1 early last year. I've been playing the trilogy repetitively since then. Minor breaks for other stuff (DAT, FONV/3/4, MEA, Technomancer, others) but nothing has captivated me the way the trilogy has. I liked everything I played but LOVE the trilogy.

I always end with a very high EMS and a bright, shiny future. Not sure how you think I might have "less" power somehow. It's simply not the case. You could play Paragon and screw yourself or Renegade and have a "best ending" scenario.

Ahmed Shepard: 1. Did some shopping. Bought some new armor for himself and some of his squadmates. His own armor is not as protective as his previous armor, but it has a second mod slot which is more important at this time. 2. While still on the Citadel, he ran into that creepy Conrad Verner guy for the third time. Conrad wanted to become a spectre. Ahmed shoved a gun in his face and told him to get lost. Conrad cried and ran away. It was a harsh lesson, but Conrad needed to learn it: he cannot handle it. 3. Wrex told Shepard about some Turian scum named Tonn Actus that had some armor that belonged to Wrex's family. Shepard decided to go get it back. Tonn Actus strode across the compound, eyeing his men. They had just gotten back from another successful raid on a lightly-defended colony. The men were clustered about, bragging about their exploits and cracking jokes as they discussed the day's raid.
Several inches taller than his men, Tonn Actus cut an imposing figure, even by Turian standards. And even by Turian standards, he was considered stern, a firm leader that expected the best of his men. He got results.
Like other Turians, Tonn Actus had served in the Turian military. He was ambitious and aspired to commanding his own unit, but when it was clear he would not be promoted, he left and became mercenary and pirate. His success made him a high commodity among some rich individuals who paid handsomely for his services. Their money helped pay for another passion: collecting relics from the Krogan rebellions.
Tonn Actus harbored a fascination with the Krogan rebellions. It was a source of pride that a few of his anscestors fought in the Krogan rebellions. One of them was even on the team that unleashed the genophage on the barbaric Krogan.
His most recent acquisition was armor from an Urdnot clan chief. The man he had bought it from claimed that the armor had been taken after the marauding Turian had cut off the Krogan's head. Tonn Actus was sure the story was false, or at least heavily embellished through the years, but he still found it amusing. Perhaps he would do that to a Krogan someday.
"Did you hear that?" someone asked. Tonn Actus turned to the man.
"Hear what?"
"I don't know," the man replied. "It sounded like it came from outside. An explosion maybe?"
A few of the men around him stopped talking and listened, but no more sound came.
"Must have been nothing."
The door at the other end of the compound opened.
"Knock knock!" Ahmed Shepard shouted with glee, his pistol drawn and pointed upward as he strolled through the door. He reared back with his free hand, then thrust it forward. Static crackled in the air around him as a singularity opened up at the other end of the room. Shouts of surprise and anger quickly turned into orders and gunfire.
"Did you have to announce our arrival, Shepard?" Tali yelped. She fingered her Omni Tool and then waved it forward. A jolt of electricity overloaded some tanks and a balcony vanished in concussive fire. "We lost the element of surprise!"
"That's no fun!" said Wrex, chastising Tali. He laughed and ran into the room, assault rifle spitting out death.
The battle was chaotic as the men danced around the room, weaving in between shelves and large crates. Tonn Actus and his men outnumbered the intruders, but his men were outmatched. After several minutes of intense combat, Tonn Actus found himself all alone against the three intruders. He had never seen such ferocity.
His shields down, Tonn Actus tried to find a moment to recover when a shotgun blast found his leg and he crumpled to the floor, a bloody mess. His gun gone, he tried to crawl to safety, but a large weight pressed into his back, pinning him to the floor.
He looked up, and stared into the face of a human. The human had dark brown skin, hazel-colored eyes, and frizzy black hair cropped short. The human spoke first.
"This the guy, Wrex?"
"That's him." The voice growled from above him. Tonn Actus strained to look at the giant Krogan stepping on him. He noticed a smaller figure down near his leg, Omni Tool glowing. The smaller figure was helmeted and female. Salarian, maybe? Or another human? He was still in a lot of pain, but not bleeding out. He realized the smaller figure was applying medi-gel, keeping him alive. But for what?
"He's all yours," the human said. The human and the other figure stepped away, leaving Tonn Actus alone with the Krogan.
"You have something of mine," the Krogan said. "I want it back."
"What?" Tonn choked. He was finding it harder to breathe.
"Some old family armor."
"You can have it back." His breath was coming in ragged gulps now. The pressure on his back was getting heavier.
"Good. Now there's something else I want."
"And what's that?"
Wrex pressed the shotgun against the Turian's head.
"Your life."
3. Some biotic extremists took Chairman Burns hostage aboard a ship. Shepard boarded the ship along with Kaidan and Garrus. They killed the welcoming committee, then confronted the three bad guys holding Chairman Burns at gunpoint. Ahmed Shepard tried to reason with them, but they shot the Chairman. Shepard then painted the walls with their blood. That is the last of the side quests I can play at the moment, so I am ready to start playing the main mission soon. I will probably go Noveria > Feros to make sure I have good enough equipment to handle the Thorian Creeper rush. Still undecided if I should play Pinnacle Station. It can be a bit of a slog, but the reward is worth it, especially since I end up swimming in credits by the end of the game. Maybe I will drop the difficulty down to normal so I can blast through it.

The curious thing is if you kill everyone and everything you still gain a ton of resources. LOL I can only imagine if Britain betrayed the french at WWI, France wouldn't be THAT strong in the end (generally speaking of course, France industrial centers were pretty much destroyed by the end of WWI). On the other hand... I talked with Hackett today and mommy is OK! She was promoted to rear admiral, is helping with the Crucible and says she's very proud of me. Like mother, like daughter? Also, every time I play the class I remember this...

Jeph Shepard! - On Metgos we investigated a distress beacon. When we found the downed ship it was a geth trap. Damn AI. - Tuntau found another pirate base, this one run by a turian in possession of Wrex's grandfather's armor. Damn coincidental. Also, my first prothean pyramid! - Hackett asked me to take point with a group of fanatic biotics who were holding a politician hostage. He'd voted against reparations for L2's and they decided he needed to pay for it. However, it would work against them. Hackett said Chairman Burns was second priority to putting a stop to the biotic revolution. (Second one, actually, after the group Major Kyle had started.) There was some casualties before we got to Burns but things went peacefully there. For a change. - Trebin featured a thresher maw. Wonder how these things planet hopped. Found a mine where an ExoGeni survey team uncovered alien technology. The idea was it turned them into "mindless fanatics" but I'll be damned if they weren't husks. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

Jeph Shepard: - Took out Helena Blake's second crimelord. Just have to meet up with her to finalize things. - Found a Cerberus base on Binthu. There were those creepy monsters the Thorian made there. Was it still alive or was Cerberus just messing with things they shouldn't? Or was Cerberus linked to ExoGeni? Second facility had these green, exploding bugs. Don't know what they were. At a third facility, found a giant bug hovering near Admiral Kahoku's body. There were no signs that the bug killed him, but instead there were injection marks. They had done experiments on him just like Corporal Toombs. Finally, found another Prothean pyramid. - Love the skies of Agebinium. Here to find an old probe armed with a nuke sent to turian space prior to the First Contact War. And it was now in a mine which was highly suspicious. It was a trap from some asshole whose day was ruined when the Alliance held against the Skyllian Blitz. This guy had been the instigator and thought his reputation could be restored by killing the first human Spectre. Immediate mistake in believing I couldn't disarm the nuke. Second was that I wouldn't track him down and stick my boot up his ass. I had the authority to kill virtually anyone I want so no chance I was going to bother with some legal loophole. - Discovered another Cerberus base on Nepheron. These guys are everywhere. Found some intel about Cerberus. Some anonymous agent of the Shadow Broker wanted me to hand it over to him. Like I'd trust some random asshole. - Another damn pyramid on Chasca! Coincidence that the Protheans built like we did or something else? Did they show us how to make them when they visited Earth so long ago? A colony here had been completely turned into husks which was a damn shame. A science station had dragon's teeth. Cerberus was behind it. Bastards.

Melody Shepard, Colonist/Sole Survivor/Infiltrator, ME3 Insanity: Glyph detected that Melody's Spectre access codes had been used in the Citadel Archive, so the squad went to investigate. They were ambushed by mercs on arrival, and soon came face-to-face with the identity thief herself: a Cerberus clone of Melody, grown as a source of spare parts for the Lazarus Project, now awake and intent on usurping Commander Shepard's identity, role and life. The squad divided into three teams to pursue Not!Melody through the labyrinthine archives. Melody took point with Kaidan and Garrus; James and Cortez led the "Mako" and "Hammerhead" teams respectively. Not!Melody's "CAT6" mercs were well-trained and well-armed. Melody wondered why the Illusive Man didn't kit his second-rate brainwashed zombies out like these guys; apparently not even his funds were limitless. (No deaths). Confronting her clone, Melody learned the truth when "Brooks" revealed herself as the mastermind. A former Cerberus operative, she became disillusioned at the Illusive Man's willingness to let Melody work with non-humans during the Collector crisis, and considered Melody herself to be a race traitor. Knowing of the clone's existence, she intended to use her as a human-supremacist "Shepard" who would lead humanity to victory against the Reapers and domination over the galaxy. The entire sequence of events had been an elaborate ruse to steal Melody's Spectre codes, Normandy command codes and biometrics, and then seal the Normandy squad in the archives. Fortunately, Brooks and Not!Melody had not banked on Glyph being able to hack the locks on the archive vaults. Racing against time to board the Normandy before her doppelgänger stole it, Melody took Tali and EDI to the Alliance docks, boarding their ship with the unlikely assistance of Samantha Traynor and her sonic screwdriver toothbrush. (Two deaths on the walkway: a/ flanked by a Specialist, b/ failed to dodge cluster grenades). With the Normandy out of her control, EDI showed signs of malfunctioning, but this only served to increase her resolve. Melody found the Brooks and the clone (in N7 armour and packing a Widow) in the shuttle bay and began a protracted battle for control of the Normandy. EDI used her tech skills to interfere with the clone's shields, while Tali deployed Chatika to distract her while she and her commanding officer plugged away with their CLAYMOARs. Abandoned by Brooks in defeat, Not!Melody's short life came to an end when the genuine article kicked her out of the open shuttle bay. With the Normandy secure, Brooks was arrested by Alliance military police, but slipped her shackles, giving Melody all the excuse she needed for a summary execution. (The battle took a few attempts before I got the hang of it, as I expected it would). Video is still uploading, so here are some pics for now: The clone's costume reminds me of ME1 armour: Oh, you did not just go there: A line of badasses. ( And Brooks): You're kidding, right? You were picked for the previous mission! EDI does her impression of Andromeda's launch-day face animations: 50/50 Paragade: Matching shotguns: Obviously:

Jeph Shepard: - Found more of those creepy plant clones on Nodacrux near an ExoGeni facility. Inside said facility, I found ExoGeni scientists. They wanted me to keep it quiet but I wasn't interested, not after what I'd seen on Feros. She turned her mercs on me and they all died for it. - I found the MSV Cornucopia floating derelict. It was loaded up with husks. Logs said the crew found an artifact they brought on board. Then they immediately plotted a course to the geth in the Perseus Veil. Obviously something that indoctrinated them and then had them serve as a message to stay away. - Discovered a geth outpost on Magi but it was clear there were more in the system. Also, there was a great view of the skyline. - Another geth base down on Casbin. Two, actually. - Found a bunch of dead geth near a thresher maw nest on Antibaar. Got what they deserved. Nearby there was another Prothean ruin, this one similar to the one on Eletania, but without the giant reflective sphere overhead. Took out a third geth base. - Rayingri hosted what we thought was the final geth base but a signal led to one more planet. - The last geth outpost was on the moon, Solcrum. In that final base, after the last geth falls, a monitor turns on. It shows a quarian singing a sad song, which is transmitted to the geth worlds. Peculiar and I'm surprised Tali had nothing to say about it.

Melody Shepard, Colonist/Sole Survivor/Infiltrator, ME3 Insanity: Videos from yesterday: There are so many funny moments in this mission, this is a compilation of some of them. When playing, I miss most of the jokes in the combat scenes. (Spot the part where I don't notice that the cloaked sniper has relocated ) The clone battle took a few attempts. What you see here is a protracted battle with a lot of derpery, missed shots, aimless running around... Real Life is likely to keep me busy next weekend, so Melody Shepard's story will likely go on hiatus for a fortnight. I might find time for some Armax Arena pewpew, mind

Ahmed Shepard: 1. Went to Noveria to track down Benezia, immediately got into a confrontation with port security. Luckily it did not come to a shootout.
2. Spoke to someone named Gianna Parsini who told him to go see Administrator Anoleas.
3. Helped a Hanar merchant smuggle in some mods, because why not?
4. Talked to the administrator, who was a spiteful little Salarian. He told Ahmed where he needed to go, but told him he could not actually go. Like that has ever stopped Ahmed before. Gianna told Ahmed to go speak with someone named Lorik Quin.
5. Some Asari wanted Ahmed to help her plant a virus in Binary Helix's network so she could steal data. Ahmed gave the Binary Helix representative the device instead and he gave it to his techs so they could feed the Asari false data. Then Ahmed went back to the Asari and told her the job was done. He even convinced the Asari to pay him more than promised.
6. Talked to Lorik Quin. He offered his garage pass in exchange for receiving data from his office, which was currently being ransacked by Administrator Anoleas' thugs. Ahmed agreed to the exchange then went to the office.
7. The security guys in the office refused to leave on their own power. A few minutes later, their next move would be to the morgue. Ahmed retrieved Lorik's data from his office computer (surprised that the Anoleas' men would not search that first). On the way, Ahmed ran into one of the security officers he nearly shot at the port entrance. She vowed to kill him. I think we all know how that turned out.
8. Gianna Parsini met Ahmed outside the elevator on the ground floor. She told him to meet him upstairs in the bar before talking to Lorik Quin. He met her and she told him she was from Internal Affairs and wanted him to convince Quin to testify about Anoleas' corruption before the board.
9. Ahmed asked Lorik Quin if he would testify. Lorik Quin refused, so Ahmed agreed to the original agreement and gave him the data. Lorik then gave him the garage pass and their deal was concluded.
10. Ahmed went into the garage and was immediately attacked by Geth. Luckily a tank was nearby, so he hopped in and shot them all dead. Captain Matsuo was left with another mess to clean up.
11. Went to Peak 15, destroyed a lot of Geth and turrets along the way.
12. At Peak 15, fought some more Geth, Krogan, and then some bugs like the ones they found at Cerberus bases. Rachni? Seemed impossible...
13. Finally found some survivors. Talked to Captain Ventralis who did not seem to know much about what was going on, other than the fact that bugs kept attacking every few hours. They were on stims and very much on edge.
14. Found a guy named Dr. Cohen who wanted help researching a cure for a bioweapon. Ahmed agreed to help and created the cure, only to be attacked by some Asari and Geth. Benezia/Saren really wanted him dead it seemed.
15. Talked with a Volus named Han Olar. He told them the bugs were Rachni. Seems Binary Helix found a Rachni egg in space. They hatched it, and it turned out to be a Rachni Queen. They used the Queen to breed more Rachni, but the Rachni went crazy. Needless to say, Wrex was not pleased at the news the Rachni lived again.
16. Went down to the Hot Labs, looking for Benezia. She was not there, but a human doctor was and he explained that the Rachni may have went crazy sincce they were separated from the queen and did not develop properly. He said the Rachni had to be destroyed using a neutron purge. He gave Shepard the codes, but died when a Rachni killed him from behind (and somehow Shepard, Wrex, and Garrus did not see it coming). Shepard killed the Rachni.
17. Shepard activated the purge, then killed a bunch of Rachni that suddenly blocked his way to the elevator. Then Ahmed took the elevator back up to go find Benezia.
18. Ventralis stopped Shepard and told him that Benezia wanted him dead. With no choice in the matter, Ahmed killed everyone left alive in the facility, before finally confonting Benezia.
19. Benezia was not pleased to see Shepard, and she attacked, sending waves of Asari commandos and Geth after him, but Shepard fought them all off. For a brief moment, Benezia regained some control of her senses and explained that Saren could control minds, or maybe it had to do with Saren's ship called Sovereign. She gave Shepard the location of the Mu Relay which would help find the conduit. Then she grew angry again and tried to kill shepard. This time Ahmed put her down for good.
20. The Rachni Queen took control of an Asari body and tried to convince Ahmed to let her live. Wrex argued against it: "My species died taking these things down. Don't let them come back!" Garrus tried to argue against it, but accidentally made an argument for killing it. Shepard agreed that it would be best to kill the last remaining Rachni (again), then dumped acid on it until it died.
21. The mission complete, Ahmed and his squadmates headed back to the Normandy. The Council was a little shocked at hearing Binary Helix had been breeding Rachni -- the Turian Councilor even threw out the term 'genocide' when mentioning Shepard killed the entire species. But Shepard dismissed their concerns and told them the mission was his priority.

Played through the majority of the Citadel DLC yesterday and finished up today "Well, Hackett had mentioned Anderson's apartment on the Citadel, so I headed there right away. Anderson and I had a chat and he said he wanted me to have it." "No way! You're the owner of an apartment?!" "Was. Well, I don't know, maybe it's still there, but I heard the Citadel was pretty roughed up after the Crucible fired." "True." "Besides, I'm going to Rannoch with Tali... So anyway, Joker invited me for dinner that day, but things didn't exactly go as planned. What was supposed to be a nice relaxing evening turned into a major firefight." "Oh good lord. Is there ever anything else with you?" "Wasn't my choice, mom. An Alliance staff analyst called Maya Brooks came running to our table, telling me some new people were after me who wanted me dead. And they didn't waste any time in trying to get to me. They were mercs and arrived at the restaurant, threatening the place. They got Brooks, and I sent Joker back to get help from my crew. I managed to grab one of the mercs' pistols. I fought them off and helped Brooks, but through some crazy circumstances we got separated." "What happened? Do I want to know?" "Um, not necessarily, I think. But I'll tell you anyway. The restaurant had a glass floor. A fish tank with nothing below for a few stories. I fell through it after a merc had taken a few shots at it. Luckily I was able to grab something a couple meters from the ground before some debris from above knocked me down to the floor." "Oh my god. Unbelievable you weren't seriously hurt, or... worse." "I know. And that's not even the craziest part. I made plans to meet up with Tali and headed for the rendezvous point, shooting more mercs. I found Tali and - that one was a surprise - Wrex also jumped in to help me out. Joker picked us up with a shuttle and we headed to the apartment to meet up with the rest of the crew. We analysed the pistol I had grabbed and tracked it to a casino owner, Elijah Khan. He was hosting a charity event on that exact evening, and we decided to infiltrate the casino to talk to him. Whoever had bought the gun from Khan was our target. But unfortunately, Khan had already been killed. His terminal had been wiped as well, but we pulled out the data drives nonetheless. Well, not that we needed them. EDI and Brooks had extracted some information, but just as we had started to discuss the findings, Liara's drone from the Shadow Broker base, Glyph, detected someone using my Spectre access code in the Citadel Archives." "Your access code? How? Why?" "The gist of it? Trying be me." "You? But... what?" "Funny story about this whole thing. While I was being brought back by Cerberus, they cloned me too. For spare parts. Nice, huh?" "They did WHAT?! These people... honestly! If you hadn't brought them down, I would now. This is--" "Crazy, I know. I couldn't believe it at first either, but we met him in the archives, and he looked exactly like me. He wanted my identity, my Spectre code, and the Normandy. Of course we tried to prevent this and chased him through the archives and to the Normandy. They were preparing to leave and the doors were already sealed, but thanks to Traynor, who had stayed back at the ship, we managed to get in. Uh... her toothbrush was a model that used tiny mass effect fields, and thanks to Traynor having it with her, we could open the emergency exit hatch that could normally only be opened from the inside." "...You're telling me a toothbrush saved the day. Are you expecting me to believe this? You're kidding me, right?" "I wish I were, but no. It's the truth." "I don't even know what to say." "Haha, the look on your face. But still, it is true. We fought more mercs in the CIC, then confronted the clone in the shuttle bay. And his little helper. Prior to this whole Normandy incident, Brooks had revealed herself to be the clone's right hand." "What?! That little snitch!" "I'd never have guessed. She played her part well. I still can't believe I fell for this trap, but she was very convincing. Anyway, the clone and I fought hard, and at some point we fell out onto the open cargo bay door. Both of us were hanging on to the edge, but I had my friends who helped pull me up, while Brooks just stood there and watched. I could've ended the clone's life right there, but somehow I pitied him. He had only been grown so I'd have spare parts, and his partner turned away from him when he was defeated. I offered my hand, but he didn't believe he had anything to live for and let go, dropping to his death." "I see. Kind of a sad way to go." "Yeah. We arrested Brooks afterwards and finally got some real shore leave." "You all deserved it, honey." "Definitely. There might have been a party. Good times, lots of drinks. And the best part... everyone was there. I haven't had so much fun in years. Oh, and Jacob broke the news that he was expecting a baby with one of the other scientists we got out, Dr. Cole. They must've had the baby by now if all went well." "Aw. Love and life find their way even in a war." "True enough. Glad they'll have this future. And you know... I had never realised how much I missed parties. Dan, Kieran and I used to go to them all the time." "I remember. And you'll have more than enough time to attend lots of parties from here." "Well I don't know about lots, but you can bet your ass - pardon the language - we'll have a big party once I get out of the hospital." "Haha, no doubt about that, sweetie." Pics: 3 deaths overall, once in the Wards section on the way to Cision Motors, once in the Archives at the beginning, once during the Clone fight. Could've been a lot worse I guess I'll continue pretty much right away. Wonder if I can play it through to the end today, but I doubt it.

Jeph Shepard:
- Paid a visit to the MSV Fedele, currently owned by a Dr. Heart aka Dr. Saleon. Guy is a black market organ dealer. Or, as Garrus refers to him, "the one that got away". There were creatures that looked a lot like those Thorian creepy things. Dude tried to play innocent but I wasn't having it. Garrus put a bullet in his head to end things. - Dropped by to see Helena Blake on Amaranthine. I was reasonably sure she was also part of the crime syndicate and merely wanted me to remove her unwanted cohorts. However, she agreed to get out of the slave business. I could live with that. Made a tidy profit from it. - A derelict ship led me to the surface of Xawin. First thing I encountered was a thresher maw! There was another geth trap, too. Maybe they were seeding worlds with thresher maws. Found the captain of the MSV Majesty in orbit. Or his corpse. Don't know why he was killed but I put an end to his murderers. - Went to Noveria. Matriarch Benezia had come through. It was a corporate world and everyone thought their business secrets were more important than saving the galaxy. People screw with me and I screw back. I needed a pass to Peak 15 and Director Anoleis stood in my way. Someone else suggested I talk to a turian and get one through him. Since Kaira Stirling was also in my way, and was dirty, she went down hard. I got what the turian wanted and, at the insistence of internal affairs agent Gianna Parasini, convinced him to turn over evidence against Anoleis. Couldn't be happier to see that guy go down in flames. When I got to the garage, I was attacked by geth. They'd been packed in crates by Benezia. Assholes were finally starting to understand that just because Benezia was an investor it didn't mean she was safe. - Peak 15 was full of geth and those giant bugs I'd encountered in Cerberus facilities. I had to fix the damn place in order to get to the Hot Labs and find Benezia. A volus named Han Olar told me those bugs were called rachni, a race that was said to be extinct for almost 2500 years. I fought my way through Peak 15 guards to Benezia. Figured they all worked for her anyway. We fought and it became apparent that, as Shiala had said, that Benezia was under Saren's control. She broke free briefly but said it wouldn't last. Benezia said a final goodbye to Liara before forcing us to kill her. She also gave us the location of the Mu Relay, beyond which was the Conduit Saren sought. That just left the queen bug. She wanted me to spare her but I knew the rachni had nearly decimated galactic society until the krogan were uplifted to destroy them. Thing was, her "children" were out of control. She said the same had been true all those years ago, implying that the Reapers had been in control. But this just meant they couldn't be trusted. Reapers or no, there were easily turned into weapons of mass destruction. I couldn't risk keeping her around. She had to die. Then initiated a neutron purge to get rid of all the rest.

So... Is Cmd. Shepard TIM back up plan if his scheme to control the reapers fail? Anderson died, not my fault. Ok it was my fault. But in my defense I forgot you need to use the interruption to prevent his death and my glasses were dirty. Since I was cleaning them, I wasn't fast enough to press the button. I also forgot that "for reasons" if you don't use your reputation in every single reply, you can't use it the final one. Go figure... But before the player needs to use the interrupt, TIM states the commander is his greatest disappointment. So that's what we are, a back up plan if he fails to control the reapers? Talk about dream crushing, hun?

Jeph Shepard: - Virmire Squad, together again for the last time. - Geth pulled out all the stops with several Colossus's along the way. Had to disable an AA battery so the Normandy could land. However, there was a problem when we reached the salarian STG team. Saren was breeding krogan that he would use to march across the galaxy. There was no way we could leave until the facility was destroyed. Wrex was unhappy with the situation. Somehow I managed to talk him down, and I wasn't all that nice about it, but he knew the score. He knew the krogan would be enslaved to Saren the way that had been tools of the Council. - Captain Kirrahe rigged his own ship's drive core to turn it into a nuke. His plan was to blow up the breeding facility but he wanted the help of my team. I sent Kaidan off with Kirrahe. Hate to say it, but I wanted him far away from that bomb. I took Tali and Garrus as my team. First thing we did was disrupt geth communications. Next went the satellite uplink. Third were the geth flyers. Lastly, we disabled the alarms. That made things a little easier for both of teams. Inside the base, we saw lots of indoctrinated salarians coming at us. Had to assume anyone inside was indoctrinated from this point on so everyone had to die. Well, with one exception. He seemed to be thinking clear and he didn't attack when I opened the door. His fellows in the next cell over were behaving oddly and I killed them rather than let them exist as slaves. - An asari scientist seemed to know a lot about indoctrination. She even suggested that everyone on the base would become indoctrinated. I assumed she probably was, too, and now I think I should have killed that salarian commando. Of course, the salarian was a captive and this Rana woman chose to work for him. That made it simpler. I put her down, but not before she gave me access to Saren's lab. Bye, Rana: - It was in the lab that we found another beacon. I accessed it but it didn't wipe me out. I assume the Cipher made the difference. On the way out, we encountered a hologram, but there was some substance to it. It was Sovereign and I now understood that it was a Reaper. Also learned that the Reapers had created the Citadel and the mass relays. I had to admit that it made more sense given that the mass relay and the Citadel had never fallen into disrepair like the beacons. Sovereign did claim to "have no beginning" but I assumed it was full of shit. Or else it was some weird cosmic force that I didn't understand. Still, if there's one thing I understood well it was that you don't show fear in the face of your enemy. I told Sovereign I was going to stop it. Then it blew up the walkway and a message from Joker said the physical ship was heading our way. Seems like I'd pissed off Sovereign and it wanted to deal with me personally. Here's the old bastard: - We got to the bomb site and Joker delivered the bomb with the Normandy. Ash was going to arm the bomb. It had been really simplified so that anyone could do it. Then I got a message from Kaidan that he was pinned down at the AA Tower. He told me to leave him but that wasn't an option as far as I was concerned. I left Ash with the bomb while Liara, Wrex and I headed toward Kaidan. It got worse when the geth sent reinforcements to the bomb site. Then Ash did the unthinkable and armed the bomb to make sure it went off in the face of overwhelming odds. Damn. My decision made for me, I continued on toward Kaidan. - Maybe it was for the best since Saren showed up at the AA tower. It gave me a shot at him and kept him away from the bomb. Saren claimed he was doing this just to "save" organics, since living as slaves was preferable to extinction. I disagreed. We fought. He was better than me but allowed himself to get distracted long enough to receive a punch in the face. He fled when the Normandy showed up. From orbit, I watched the nuke go off, ending the krogan army threat and Ash's life. - Kaidan was sad that I picked him over Ash, blaming himself because whatever it was that was going on between us definitely impacted my decision. We hadn't done anything but I couldn't let him die. Liara thought maybe the Virmire beacon could have filled in what was missing and wanted to get into my head again. I let her and she was right. We found out the message had been a warning sent out across the Prothean Empire. She also realized the images were of Ilos, a world that could only be found on the other side of the Mu Relay and which contained Prothean ruins. Now we had a destination. However, we knew Saren would have an fleet with him so we'd never make it in alone. We needed help from the Council. - We contacted the Council, and they believed in the threat of Saren and the geth, but not the Reapers. Still, they seemed to be supporting me, though the turian was as hostile as ever. I did head back to the Citadel because I wanted the Normandy at the head of the fleet. - When we got there, they made it clear they had no intention of going to Ilos and that they didn't trust me enough to go in. Udina locked down my ship and called it "politics". Bastard was going to pay for that. I told him as much. I returned to the Normandy, even knowing there was nothing I could do at the moment. Kaidan showed up. We talked. Almost had a kiss until Joker interrupted. - Anderson wanted me to meet him at Flux so that's where I went. Anderson agreed that I needed to go to Ilos. He was willing to waltz into Citadel command to release the Normandy lockdown but that sounded dangerous. The alternative was the use Udina's own terminal and risk treason. We went with that one. I'd rather he were in jail than dead, though if we didn't stop Saren he'd be dead anyway. Headed back to the ship. I don't know what Anderson did but I was standing next to Joker on the bridge when the lights went green. We wasted no time taking off.

Ahmed Shepard: 1. Based on some files recovered from Noveria* Ahmed travelled to a facility on another planet. That facility had been overrun by Rachni, with Rachni popping up from underground near the base and another location away from the base. Ahmed killed all the Rachni he encountered. Inside the base, he found a terminal that was picking up a distress call from an outpost in a nearby cluster. He also found logs indicating that the Rachni had been shipped from a supply depot. * This of course, does not actually happen in-game. You have to basically notice a new cluster suddenly appear on the map. This is different from Feros where you can actually hack terminals that point you to some missions in another cluster. 2. Ahmed landed on the planet where the outpost was located, then began exploring. Twice while exploring, he found some mounds. when investigating the mounds, Rachni popped up out of ground and swarmed the Mako. Luckily he managed to avoid much damage and kill all the attack the Rachni. 3. Ahmed finally made it to the outpost, where survivors were being swarmed by Rachni. He hooked up the Mako to their generator to power their cannons, then bunkered down and annihilated the invading Rachni until they were all dead. One of the men at the outpost then informed them of a location underground where it appeared the Rachni were coming from. 4. Ahmed, Wrex, and Kaidan went to the location of the Rachni infestation, which turned out to be a mine.
"I've had enough of these bugs!"
Sweat dripping off his face, Ahmed stepped up to the Brood Rachni corpse and vented his frustration by firing his shotgun until it overheated, then turned to another Rachni corpse and beat the carcas with the same weapon.
"Woah, Shepard! Calm down!"
"Shut up, Kaidan!"
"Ha!" Wrex laughed. "That's the spirit, Shepard! My ancestors would be proud!"
Ahmed stopped to catch his breath. Just so... many... Rachni... He hoped these were the only two planets that had Rachni infestations. Hopefully the Rachni Queen on Noveria was the last queen of the Rachni. If there was another Queen alive out there... He didn't want to think about it.
"Come on," he said. "We got ourselves a supply depot to destroy."
5. Ahmed Shepard boarded the supply depot, which was a ship adrift in space. He killed the Rachni, then found the ship's mainframe, where he discovered that the Rachni were the result of a Cerberus operation. Cerberus again? They were a whole lot bigger than he thought. He armed a bomb on the ship, then left the ship before it exploded. 6. Back to the Citadel: a. Admiral Mikhaelovich wanted to inspect the ship. Ahmed refused since it was outside his chain of command. b. A reporter named Al-Jilani wanted an interview. He declined. c. Emily Wong wanted help with another assignment. Since she actually paid for help, he agreed but told her it was the last time he would help her. d. Broke up argument between Michael and Rebekah by convincing her to get the treatment. e. Convinced Bhatia to let the Alliance perform tests on his wife's body. Ahmed felt bad for yelling at him, but he had a long day of killing Rachni and was tired of everyone bothering him. f. Told Nassana about her sister. She paid him for his service. 7. Ahmed travelled to Feros to investigate the Geth rumors and ended up in the middle of a Geth attack. He helped the colonists fend off the attack then took the fight to them clearing them out of the tower. The Geth dropship then flew off. 8. Thankful he was no longer fighting giant bugs, Ahmed went down into the tunnels, taking out more Geth, some Krogan, and some Varren. while in the tunnels, he found a fuel cell, destroyed a Geth transmitter, and reconnected the water supply to the colony. He also met a man that wa spouting nonsense. 9. Back at the colony, Ahmed was told the Geth were at the Exogeni building across the skyway. So they took a Mako (how did a Mako get there?) and went to the Exogeni headquarters, which was located in some Prothean ruins. Along the way, the killed a bunch of Geth blocking their path. 10. They made it to the Exogeni headquarters and got shot at by a researcher named Elizabeth. She gave Ahmed her access card and went back into hiding just as more Varren showed up. 11. Ahmed took the time to kill the Varren, all Geth, and some Krogan in the facility, and also managed to dislodge the Geth dropship from building, causing it to crash. And also: Exogeni was studying a plant called the Thorian that was taking control of the colonists. 12. Joker called, said the colonists were starting to go nuts, so Ahmed headed back. He also took Elizabeth with him. 13. Halfway back, he heard a bunch of people arguing over the radio and one of them was Elizabeth's mom. He stopped the Mako and Elizabeth ran out. He followed and saw a guy waving a gun around trying to act in charge. Ahmed got into a an argument with him, and when the guy pointed the gun at Ahmed, Ahmed shot him. That managed to diffuse the situation. 14. Elizabeth and her mom came up with a way to humanely neutralize the controlled colonists using a grenade mod. Ahmed took the mod, then quickly went back to Exogeni heaquarters to retrieve some data for one of the researchers. 15. When Ahmed got back to the colony, he ran into a new enemy: space zombies called Thorian Creepers. the colony was teeming with these creepers, and the colonists were armed tried to kill Shepard. Shepard tried to humanely neutralize as many colonists as he could, but six Colonists died. (Literally, the six that died were named Colonist.*) * That was not a coincidence of course. 16. Ahmed made it underground where he finally saw the Thorian. It spit out a green Asari clone that told him it had made a deal with Saren, then Saren betrayed it. It refused to make any more deals. So Shepard was forced to try to bring the Thorian down while it tried to kill him with countless Thorian Creepers and some more Asari clones.
"I've had enough of these zombies!"
Ahmed vented his frustration by firing his shotgun at the Thorian until it overheated, then turned to a nearby node on the wall and beat at it with the same weapon.
"Woah, Shepard! Calm down!"
"Shut up, Kaidan!"
"Ha!" Wrex laughed. "That's the spirit, Shepard! My ancestors would be proud!"
17. After finally dropping the Thorian down a deep hole, a real Asari dropped out of a pod. Her name was Shiala. She gave Ahmed the Cipher -- a way of looking at things like a Prothean -- as a reward to help him find Saren. He let Shiala stay with the colonists. 18. Back on the Normandy, the Council called and told him about a garbled message from an infiltration unit on a planet called Virmire.
Bonus story time! About two years in the future aboard a Reaper corpse...
"I've had enough of these husks!"
Ahmed vented his frustration by firing his shotgun at the Scion until the thermal clip was depleted, then he started beating at it with the same weapon.
"Calm yourself, Shepard."
"Shut up, Samara!"
"shepard!" Mordin interjected. "Appears you have spent much time around Krogan. Suggested headbutting for good measure."

So I actually managed to finish this run on Sunday (went to bed at 2 a.m. ), but I didn't have enough time yesterday to finish the write-up, so here it is now! "Alright, mom. Ready for the last round?" "Already the last, huh. This flew by like nothing..." "Yeah. And you can believe me, when it finally really happened, time flew as well. Which I'm very glad for..." "I can imagine. So... tell me about the beginning of the end." "After the Normandy was good to go, we took the fight to the Illusive Man's base. We encountered heavy resistance, but my team and I fought ferociously. Everyone was fueled by the thought to take down this organisation for good. Especially after we saw some logs about what was going on in that base. The Illusive Man had completely lost it, implanting himself with Reaper tech." "Oh that surely went well." "He had also kept the human Reaper remains from the Collector base... such a madman. I couldn't wait to get to him, but he had already made it off the base. However, we did find our priority, the Prothean VI, and learned that the Citadel is the Catalyst, that the Illusive Man fled there, told the Reapers about our plans, and that the Citadel had been moved to Earth as a result. Well, guess you know that last part already." "I do." "Well anyway, Kai Leng appeared and attacked us, but he didn't get away this time. You know I'm not one to enjoy killing, but I cannot tell you how satisfying it felt to finally finish off this bastard." "I can imagine, honey. And from everything you told me he really deserved it. And I'm usually not one to say that either." "I know. So... Then it was time for the final push." "I remember. That moment when the Crucible started moving. I was nervous, agitated, but hopeful." "Yeah. I can imagine. I was so ready to finish this as well. We approached Earth, and it looked bad. My team and I touched down and fought our way through Reaper forces to shut down an anti-aircraft gun close to where we had landed, then a shuttle picked us up to get us out of there. Just in time. Anderson was inside and we approached the FOB. From there, everything went fast. I took Tali and Kaidan through the enemy lines until we reached a tank with missiles. The plan was to get rid of the Reaper that sat in front of the beam the Citadel had generated, so we could get up the beam to open the arms of the Citadel. The first try missed, as the Reaper was still too close to the beam. We had to wait until it was closer to us to give it a go again. It was our last chance... we were down to two missiles." "Wow, really? Unbelievable how much depended on these two missiles." "Yeah. Fortunately, this time they hit the Reaper. The path was clear. We started running towards the beam and gained ground, but a flipped Mako almost got Tali and Kaidan at some point. Both were caught in an explosion, and thankfully none of them were seriously hurt. But that was the point where I knew I couldn't risk it. I wouldn't risk their lives for this, especially not Tali's. I wanted her away from this craziness. So I called in the Normandy for an evac, saying my goodbyes to her, and Kaidan." "That couldn't have been easy." "It wasn't. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, but I wanted to believe everything would be alright. Well, that was before I almost got hit by a Reaper beam that severely burned my armor. I'll spare you the details, but I felt like death. I was bleeding, but I made it to the beam. Inside, Anderson contacted me. He had followed me up, but we didn't end up in the same place. It was creepy as hell. Human remains scattered everywhere, so much blood. I pressed on as best as I could and met Anderson further in. That's when it all happened. The Illusive Man appeared and controlled both me and Anderson. I couldn't do anything. He was so obsessed with control and the possibility of it that he had to set an example. Mom, he... he made me shoot Anderson. I couldn't--" "Oh, sweetie. I'm so sorry. But this wasn't your fault. This... monster was responsible for all this! I hope he got what he deserved." "He did. I shot him. For one moment, I felt strong enough, felt like I was myself again, and I pulled the trigger. But Anderson, he... he didn't survive." "I know, honey. But you can't blame yourself. Don't you ever." "I know you're right, mom, but right now it's still so fresh in my mind. Wondering if I could've done anything differently." "I understand how you feel. Give it some time, hm? You'll see everything will be fine again." "Yeah. I hope so. Mom, you cannot imagine how it felt. Sitting there, all alone. I was ready to die along with Anderson. I felt all the life draining from me. All I wanted was to sleep and never wake up again. I was so exhausted. And then Hackett over the comm, telling me the Crucible didn't fire yet. It took all the strength I had left to reach the control panel, but I collapsed before I could actually do anything. I woke up in a weird place. A... holographic image of a boy I saw die back when I left Earth came walking towards me. I think he brought me to this place. To where the Crucible had docked. He revealed himself as the Catalyst. An AI. The AI Leviathan had created. The damn AI that controlled all Reapers." "So why did it do what it did? Why all the cycles?" "It told me the reason was that organics would always be wiped out by synthetics they created. That they brought order to the chaos we'd cause. I can't remember much else from what it said about their reasons... I didn't really understand it either. But the most important part for me was when it told me that the Crucible would be able to destroy the Reapers. The Reapers caused so much pain, so much suffering... they needed to go. But like the Catalyst told me, all synthetics were targeted. I... heard from Tali that EDI didn't make it. Heh. Remember when I told you about the rogue VI on Luna?" "Yes." "That was EDI gaining awareness." "No way." "Yeah. Interesting how it all turned out, isn't it? First foe, then friend. An AI I learned to trust. The first one. And now she's just... gone." "You lost her, but you made the right choice, honey. I know about the other solutions of the Crucible's energy." "You know about them?" "Yes. When Hackett called to inform me you had regained consciousness and that he had already talked to you, he sent a report along, with everything you remembered from the moment you went up that beam... the possibilities the Crucible was capable of. Destroying them was the only way. I did read the report immediately after you and I had spoken. Okay, well not immediately because I probably broke down first and cried from relief that I was actually able to speak to my son again." "Ma, I'm sorry you had to go through this. Sorry I had you worried." "Oh please, honey. Having this time now with you was worth all the anxiety back then. I love you so much, sweetie. And I'm just so happy to have you back." "I know, mom. I love you too. Things will finally be normal again." "That they will, my dear. That they will." Last pics! One death at the missiles, was trying to jump over some debris, but the game wouldn't let me. Flanked from behind. Deaaaad And of course the 3 husketeers got me. Then I switched the difficulty to Narrative. Buh-bye Marauder Fired the Cain in London at the Banshee for the first time, it was awesome! Tali's romance surprised me, even though the Citadel DLC apartment scene was cringy, but still, I enjoyed it a lot as a whole. Jesse grew more dear to me than I had anticipated, and it's mostly thanks to how I could roleplay him in the games. I enjoyed it a lot that I could play him pretty much exactly how I had envisioned him, it was pretty cool! And now? Time for another Shepard, yaaaay

Sooo, started my new Shepard last night for my next set of all classes on Insanity. I'll play each class again, but with reverse gender this time. I'm excited for all of them again The first of this new set is an Infiltrator. His name is Devlon Shepard and he's a Colonist/Sole Survivor for maximum drama, because you know I love it! Here's his back story for those who are interested: Devlon grew up on a farming colony with his mother, father and 2 years older sister Kaitlyn. Together with his sister and their childhood friend Alec, the three of them enjoyed an easygoing life, unleashing practical jokes on the other colonists and earning house arrest in the process more than once. Never did this stop them to often sneak out at night to roam the wilderness outside the colony. Things changed when Kaitlyn had her first boyfriend, and she stopped hanging out with Devlon and Alec because of their "childish" behaviour. From this point on, the two boys were inseparable, having long walks and talks about leaving the colony someday, both promising to join the Alliance once they were old enough. Soon Devlon felt drawn to his friend in a way he had never experienced before, but being a teenager he was insecure and didn't know how to deal with these feelings, so he kept them to himself. By the time he found out that Alec felt the same, it was already too late and they never had the chance to explore their attraction to each other. Devlon lost both his family and Alec when batarian slavers hit the colony, while he survived. He was saved by the Alliance and joined them later on to honour the promise he and Alec had made. A few years later, he was left standing once more while others around him fell. A thresher maw had wiped out his entire unit, and he alone lived to tell the tale. As a survivor. His past left a deep mark on him, and while it made him stronger and determined to stay alive, there's also one thing Devlon fears more than anything - being alone. Despite this anxiety, he never settled for anyone, trading stability and security for drinking, dancing and one-nighters with both men and women whenever he is off-duty. To this day, he never forgot Alec.
The name Devlon can mean 'misfortune', and I picked it because of his past. I wanted to try a Sniper Infiltrator (Widow maybe), and I hope it's fun. I thought about how he could become a Sniper Infiltrator in the first place and his past definitely helps with that. While he wants to honour Alec and joins the Alliance, he also wants to stay alive to find meaning in his survival, so he prefers to attack from far away with a stealthy approach. This means I'll sit behind cover a lot, focusing on positioning and distracting/disabling enemies rather than using him offensively like my first Infiltrator. Bonus Talent in ME1 will be Hacking. He will have Flashbang Grenades in ME2 and Decoy in ME3. I think I'll take Mordin and likely switch up between Kasumi and Tali in ME2, and for ME3 Kaidan and Liara are probably really helpful here for maximum CC in form of Cryo Blast and Stasis I've been planning this Shepard for way over a year now and am really excited to finally start it! It's probably the Shepard I'm most excited about since playing Hannah 2 years ago and I have a little backstory for Devlon I want to include in my postings, so prepare for lots of rambling as usual Some first pics:

The cycle must continue, so I started a new Shepard After my previous run, I can't stay away from the trilogy. I'm supposed to replay MEA, but what can you do... My goal was to make a Shepard who would look even a little bit like the default Shep in ME3, but it was a doomed attempt, unfortunately. Here's Amy Shepard, Paragon/Spacer/Lone Survivor: Mug shot from another angle. Doesn't really resemble ME3 femshep at all, but at least she ended up looking rather different than what my Shepards usually do in ME1. Here's her with Shaira, wearing armor with a ridiculous color scheme White and orange, that's even worse than Ashley's default armor. Anyway, haven't yet gotten very far in the story. I'm trying to be more completionist and do more sidequests this time, because it seems to be that the more I do sidequests and put my mind into any given game, the more I seem to enjoy it. This was the case with DA2, ME2 and ME3, so maybe this will make me appreciate ME1 more as well. Not much else to tell at this point. I'll romance Kaidan this time and try to persuade Ethan Jeong to help the colonists on Feros. Now I'm in Noveria and hoping to make some kind of an impact. Also planning to recruit Liara at the last minute, right before Ilos I've always done the main quests in a particular order, and I'm going to break that pattern this time.

Devlon kind of looks like an older, wiser Jenkins. (Which explains why he puts younger, dumber Jenkins on point!) Have fun! My hats off to anyone who can do the game on Insanity.

So this isn't from the game of course, but I started fiddling around with this idea when I had ME withdrawal symptoms a few months back when I played other games during that time "Hey... You alright?" I hesitate a brief moment before I turn my head to the source of the warm, concerned voice behind me. My husband, standing in the door to my work space, a gentle expression on his face. I nod and look down, open letters strewn across the floor where I sit. "I thought... maybe you wanted to read them, so I left them here for you. You fell asleep at your desk again and I didn't want to wake you. The note said they had to clear out the depot on Mindoir you always sent them to and returned them as per your request." "Oh, I..." My voice comes out thin and I clear my throat. It's been a long time. I had pretty much forgotten about these letters, them being a part of my past and not my present, but I never forgot the person I used to write them to. "Thanks. There was a time when writing these meant the world to me." "I know. And I also know he is still important to you. As it should. First loves aren't easy, are they." I scoffed, smiling. "You could say that. But I haven't read any of them. I was just... surprised to see them here now, after such a long time." "Well, then maybe you should read them" my husband replied, a genuine smile, then the smirk on his face I love so much. "You know, it's just like you to write on actual paper. You're so stuck in the past." "Shut up." "Love you, too." I shake my head at him and chuckle as he leaves to check up on the little ones, and then I'm left alone with my letters. It's tempting to read them, to remember him, remember my past. So much has happened since I wrote the last letter, and now... I am happily married and we just adopted a baby boy and girl a couple weeks back. Twins. We're building a family. My husband and I helped each other through the hardest of times and he means everything to me. I don't need the letters... but I can't deny that, now that I have the chance, now that I hold them in my hands, I do want to read all of them again. I start to pick them up and put them into order, then I let out a sigh and sit down in my chair. Here they are on my work space desk in front of me, and I stare at them intently for a few moments, as if they'd tell me what to do. I take the first letter from the stack and hesitate briefly again before giving in, focusing on the words in the familiar handwriting, a strange feeling of nostalgia washing over me. "Dear Alec..."

Ahmed Shepard (last night): 1. Found a ship dead in space, and decided to board it. It was full of shipping containers and dangerous husks. Ahmed and his squad had to tread very carefully, making sure not to get overrun by the husks. They finally made it to navigation and read the captain's logs. Seems they found an alien artifact, which seemed to cause them to drive directly into Geth space. It seems the Geth turned them into husks and then sent the ship back, apparently as a warning.
2. Intercepted a general distress beacon from a planet that was the last-known location of an Exogeni research team. The general location was discovered from a terminal on Feros. Ahmed and his squad encountered some Thorian creepers out in the wild, then more Thorian Creepers overunning the facility that generated the distress beacon. After killing all the creepers, they found the research team inside: a few scientists and a few guards. The head researcher explained they were doing some experiments on the creepers when they suddenly went berserk, possibly when Shepard killed the Thorian.
Ahmed was willing to let the experiments slide, but then the researcher offered him money to let them go. Well that set off alarm bells in his head and he refused. She tried to make him take the offer, but he refused and said he would have to take her in. The situation then turned into a firefight. Okay so 'firefight' might be too strong of a word. Ahmed cast a singularity and then only his team fired. It was over within seconds.
3. Ahmed investigated the location of some mysterious shipments sent from Feros. All they found were husks (the remains of the colony's inhabitants). The logs on Feros indicated that Cerberus had sent the shipments. Ahmed thought he had dealt with this Cerberus group earlier, but they keep popping up. When his business with Saren is concluded, he may have to hunt down the remains of this Cerberus group and finish them for good.
4. Ahmed went shopping for some new clothes. He found nothing good in his size, but Ashley and Wrex got some nice new Colossus armor. He also managed to get a good Serrice Council Omni Tool for Tali (Kaidan already had one).
No story today. I don't have enough time, and none of these missions really warranted a fictional account.
Ahmed Shepard is level 49 and really close to level 50. I may just drop the difficulty to Normal and go through Pinnacle Station to get to level 50 and buy some Spectre X weapons, and beat it to get access to the best store in the game. I have Virmire, Bring Down the Sky, and Liara left so I would like Spectre weapons for those missions. Pinnacle Station can be a bit of a chore, but dropping the difficulty to Normal should help.
Not sure if I will get the chance to play the game until the weekend, though.

Jeph Shepard:
- Lots of rachni on Nepmos. Killing the queen obviously didn't do the trick since they're still around the galaxy. Found a mine that the rachni had turned into a nest. Eliminated them and, based on what we could tell, they were probably gone for good. - Altahe was also overrun with rachni. If this is what extinction looks like, I have to say that the krogan did a shitty job. Fortunately, I'm here to help. We found out that regular drops had been made her which originated from Argos Rho. That was the source of our rachni invasion. - Found a ship in the Argos Rho cluster. Full of rachni. Never send a krogan to do a man's job. Just, uh, don't mention that to Wrex. And...it looks like Cerberus was behind this. Stupid bastards. Blew the ship to hell to make sure no further rachni incursions took place. - Headed out toward Ilos. Kaidan stopped by my quarters. All I can say is that I didn't sleep alone that night, nor did I wake up alone. - We faced an impossible drop onto Ilos. The Normandy could not land and there was no easy way to drop the Mako to the ground. At least, that was true for an ordinary pilot. Joker was unlike others and he was able to get the Mako safely down in a way that others could not. Now it was just a matter of surviving my driving, but I thought Kaidan and Garrus were up to that task. [To be completed tomorrow.]
