Shawna Shepard: 1. Threw a big party for the ME2 and ME3 squad. Shawna got real drunk and ended up waking next to Javik the next morning.
2. Attacked Cerberus HQ. Recovered the Prothean VI and discovered that the Catalyst was the Citadel and that it had been moved to Earth. Killed King Lame.
3. Went to Earth with the galaxy fleet in tow.
4. Destroyed a Hades Cannon that was causing trouble.
5. Met with everyone at the FOB and came up with a plan to reach the Citadel.
6. Carved a bloody path through No Man's Land. Helped destroy a Geth Destroyer blocking a beam to the Citadel. Ran for the beam, got shot by Harbinger, but survived the hit and made it to the beam.
7. Met Anderson on the Citadel, but the Illusive Man was there too and started controlling them. Shawna made him mad and she shot him when he dropped control. Anderson died though.
8. Got taken up on an elevator and met the butt-hole intelligence created by the Leviathans. It gave her options. She chose destroy.
(I am actually typing this while talking to the starbrat. Luckily it will all be over soon.)

To continue what I said about every Mass Effect sort of being like "Groundhog Day" where Shep keeps revisiting the same things each game: After Horizon, I decided to do Miranda's loyalty, visit Liara, run into the Asari possessed by Rachni, hooked up the Krogan and Asari couple, then Jack's loyalty, then hit Tuchanka and did Mordin's loyalty and killed the Thresher Maw for Grunt. It's a lot of the same elements you get in ME3 for the first half of the game (besides Miranda's loyalty, I suppose).
Anyways, tied all that up with LotSB for the 5th mission... I guess you could say crashing on Azure and killing Vasir has similar elements to the Citadel Coup.. but only loosely.
Illusive Man lured me to the Collector Ship, with the false Turian signal. Yet another thing that pops up around this time in ME3.
Anyways, I'll save it there for now.

Kim Shepard: 1. Chased after a Cerberus mech on Mars. Kaidan got injured.
2. Met with the Citadel Council. They refused to help. Met the new crew. Scanned the galaxy.
3. Went looking for a Turian Primarch. Found Garrus, then found the new Primarch. EDI installed herself into a new body.
4. Back to the Citadel. Visited Kaidan in the hospital. Did some odd jobs for some shady people. Took delivery orders.
5. Met with Aria. Met with Dr. Bryson. Bryson was killed by his assistant. EDI helped pinpoint one of his field agents named Garneau. Scanned the galaxy some more.
6. Raided a Cerberus lab, picked up some Reaper tech for the Alliance.
7. Back to the Citadel to deliver some stuff and meet with Kaidan -- now a Spectre -- before he left the hospital.
I have/had a few Shepards on Mars. I want to get them to at least the same spot Kim Shepard is now in, which is having run around the Citadel so I just have mostly missions left. I don't like spending an 1+ hours doing nothing of consequence slowly accumulating credits.

Benjamin completed Feros today. Two times in fact, since Liara doesn't understand that "I'm not interested in you that way" does not equal to being patient nor wanting to sleep with her. Hopefully taking the middle path made it clear, otherwise, well...these things happen. But it wasn't all bad, this way Benjamin prevented a quest getting stuck in his book and got a shiny new armor (really rare drop in this playthrough). And I quite like Feros (minus the creepers). But the Geth are fun and there are some easy Paragon points to be had. Which is how Benjamin maxed his score this time, thus being free to go on a murderous rampages while still keeping his knightly image. He also hit level 50, so no more experience points for him. Quest wise he's almost done with the game. Next session will be Virmire, then wrap up the quests at the Citadel, hopefully snatching the ally achievements for Garrus and Liara. Then he's pretty much done with that chapter of his life.

John Shepard:
2.1 After waking up in the med bay and having a chat with Anderson, I went to talk to the crew. I knew Williams and Alenko were going to need attention - both probably feeling guilty about surviving when others didn't. Interesting to learn from Dr. Chakwas that Alenko has an old L2 implant that leads to him having sometimes severe migraines. And that's the least of possible complications L2's have. Also have a requisitions officer who makes extra money on the side by selling equipment that's not Alliance standard.
2.2 Met with Ambassador Udina on the Citadel. Guy's a dick. No idea how he became humanity's ambassador. Met a couple of friendly elcor and a really cranky volus at the embassy next door. Wandered around a bit to see the sights before heading to the Citadel Tower to talk with the Council. A statue of a mass relay made Kaidan's teeth tingle. He also said it was humming. Neither Williams or I had the same experience.
2.3 I heard the Consort mentioned 3 separate times so stopped by. Despite the 3-4 month wait list, the Consort specifically asked to speak to me. Turns out she wanted a favor and I was in the mood to help.
2.4 At the Citadel Tower, I overheard an argument between two turians, Executor Pallin (who I'd met earlier and had a clear bias against humans) and Garrus Vakarian. Vakarian had been investigating Saren but was shut down by Pallin. That already put him on my good side.
2.5 The Council dismissed accusations against Saren, saying there was no evidence - including the testimony of a dockworker who had never heard of Saren before and so had no reason to manufacture a plot against him. Turned out Anderson had a history with Saren and that left the Council less willing to listen to him. Udina placed me on the investigation to find Saren.
2.6 Agreed to help a salarian investigate the Keepers. Talked to Barla Von about Saren. Barla Von works for an information broker called the Shadow Broker. Saren did, too, until he turned on him. He pointed me to a krogan visiting C-Sec who had been hired to deal with Saren. And he gave me this info for free.

Well, the plan to have the campaign finished was too ambitious, but I finished Virmire and the Geth Master Base quest. The two colossus still took a bit of fancy driving, but dismounting from Mako and remounting it did the trick.
Mark saved Ashley that went to hold the Tower, while Kaiden died proud with the nuke. Actually was more emotional than I expected. kaiden might not be my fav character, but the cutscenes was great.
Oh, need to say that joker-renegade dialogues are fun.
In the end, Mark Shepard just escaped Citadel to make a run for Mu Relee... so of course he's going to go try the Bringing Down the Sky next.
finally, in MP I finished levelling my Sala Engi which was so-so (even got moved to a successful Silver game by the lead, yay). Then I switched to Vanguard, and well, started getting this weird experiences of looking for my name on the 4th, hoping for the 3rd line, and ending up 2nd or even 1st. So, yeah, dunno what to do at all. Silver's nice, but I can't seem to make it on any character in bronze but Vanguard, which is not going to one-shot stuff there.

Filed under: Personal I find myself in a peculiar situation. Apparently I have died, but I'm not sure whether I should believe this. It seems surreal and I don't trust the people I am forced to work with now - Cerberus. Miranda Lawson, Jacob Taylor, The Illusive Man and a whole crew of people I have never seen in my entire life, with the exception of Joker and Dr. Chakwas, who somehow ended up with Cerberus even though they know their methods and that they already tried to kill me once. The cook on board is disgusting and there is a damned AI installed on a copied Normandy and a Yeoman that tries to read my mind... My hands are tied though. I went to see Anderson and neither the Alliance nor this incompetent Council is doing anyhing against the Reapers or the missing colonists that were abducted by Collectors. Cerberus at least takes this threat seriously. The Illusive Man prepared some dossiers for my team, let's see how skilled these people really are. I picked up three of them already. The mercenary is just in it for the money and should follow my orders without hesitation. The master thief seems like a curious choice for the team. She also has a big mouth and possibly no respect for the chain of command. I am also very displeased that the Illusive Man already promised these two that I would help them with their private problems. I'll see if we can spare the time. Dr. Mordin Solus. Clever, good analytical skills, fast reaction. Crucial to this mission since he's the best chance to develop a countermeasure needed to deal with the Seeker Swarms of the Collectors. The ones I met earlier: Lawson... She seems smart, knows what she wants, shows confidence. Will keep an eye on her regardless. She's too loyal to Cerberus. Mr. Taylor on the other hand... he's easily influencible with my skill level, doesn't trust Cerberus completely, is too good-hearted, perhaps a little naive. And he already seems to like and trust me. I can twist him around my finger, keep him close, tell him I trust him as well. See what else he knows and is willing to tell me. Still stuck on Omega, looking for someone named "Archangel" next. What a silly name. And - Lawson is right about Omega - what a shit hole. Piiiics: No deaths so far with the Vanguard, but then I played it pretty safe, even though there were a couple of OMGPANIC situations already I can't wait until my level is high enough for the final build.

And with that Benjamin finished his journey through Mass Effect 1. Had forgotten that the credit music had vocals. It was very good. Finally managed to understand what happened at Ilos and why there was a conduit there, but still unsure of the hows. Scrolling a bit back. Virmire went well, Ashley won the coin toss to go with the Salerians and to be the damsel in distress. She also helped shoot at Saren, which was awfully nice of her. The cutscene timing was also great. Benjamin had managed to shoot Saren into a corner, Saren seemed to be stuck, so Benjamin took the chance to check if Ashley was doing okay. He turns his head for a moment, looks back and BOOM cutscene. So visually and story wise the mission went great, even if I prefer Kaidans content in ME3. Got the ally achievements during the lockdown, so that was out of the way. It was weird not hunting down all the enemies for xp during Ilos and the end game. Benjamin dealt with Saren via his charms and opted to save the Council when given the option. Felt sorry for Mecha-Kitty during the fight, since the poor guy was just floating around, his abilities dampened, his weapons overloaded and three people loading him with bullets. Luckily, it was over quickly. Benjamin gave me one last smile as a parting gift, probably meant as motivation to continue his story in ME2. If it worked remains to be seen. But it is so cute. ... Success for Benjamin! Current ME2 achievements: Met Tali, painted his armor, was hostile towards the local AI and died like 20 times...And will probably die 20 times more...But if he keeps sending those smiles, I think it might be worth it.

Erin Shepard chased after a robot, had a bad dream, met with the council, punched a reporter, rescued a Turian Primarch, and recruited her Turian boyfriend to the squad.

I'' currently doing a rerun of ME2. Trying to go the renegade path for once. It seems to me Bioware were pushing the paragon path. I get paragon points on almost EVERYTHING I do, while for renegade I need to actually do specific stuff, and even then I barely get them!
But more than that - Renegade options close doors for ME3 (killing people that you later DON'T meet...).
It's really annoying. I actively work to be renegade, and can barely compete with my paragon score...

Finished my ME2 run... for real this time.
Kind of screwed up my mission priorities a bit, so had to wait to do Legion's loyalty for post Suicide Mission.. but finally finished that up and Arrival. Almost had an exact Paragon/Renegade score at the end. Kind of what I planned, but didn't calculate it to be so close.
I think I'll play ME3 vanilla at first and then heavily mod it for a second run.

Soldier FemShep, cont'd:
Now that the Normandy was under her command, Shepard met with various crew members - and the new non-human friends they picked up while finding evidence against Saren on the Citadel - to see if there was anything else she should know before setting out.
Joker provided some info about the ship, and bragged about his awesome piloting skills. He revealed how his brittle-bone disease had impacted his life and driven him on to be the best pilot at his flight school.
Navigator Pressley expressed concern about the non-humans on board, but insisted it "won't be a problem" for him. Some in the Alliance apparently are still suspicious of other races - in particular Turians - thanks to incidents like the First Contact War. Shepard understood Pressley felt, but the encounter with the strange ship on Eden Prime suggested that there were other threats lurking out there in space, and perhaps it was time to let go of old grudges and start building alliances to help deal with these threats.
Engineer Adams described the capabilities of the Normandy's engines and stealth systems, as well as his background in the Alliance before being assigned to the Normandy. He also expressed admiration for Tali's skills and technical knowledge.
Tali was very enthusiastic about being assigned to a ship as advanced as the Normandy, since the Quarian Flotilla often struggled to keep their ships space-worthy and lacked the resources to build anything like the prototype Alliance ship. Shepard asked her about her people and the Pilgrimage rite of passage that they all undertake. She also gave the Quarian version of the war with the Geth, and her and Shepard had a minor disagreement over who was truly at fault - it sounded to Shepard that the Quarians were the ones who were the aggressors. She didn't make a huge deal about it, though - she liked Tali, and it wasn't really fair to blame her for something that happened centuries before she was born.
Garrus was happy to have left C-Sec, and seemed to think that the freedom of Spectres to do whatever they wished somehow extended to him. Shepard quickly nipped that in the bud.
Wrex described the history of the Genophage - the sterility plague inflicted on the Krogan by the Salarians and Turians - and how it had affected his people. He was understandably angry and disheartened. The Krogan had been used by the Council races, then cast aside when they had outlived their usefulness and become more trouble than they were worth. It made Shepard angry, too.
At this point, the Normandy was ready to get under way. The first stop was the Hydra system, in the Argus Rho cluster. While on the Citadel, Shepard has read a scouting report about a distress call in the area, so she wanted to investigate. On arrival at the planet Metgos, the Normandy received a transmission from the Sacred Angel medical transport, and went down to the surface to investigate. It turned out that there was no transport, and that the distress call had been faked by the Geth to lure them into a trap. The Geth forces were no match for the Mako, however, and were quickly destroyed. Shepard, Kaidan and Tali surveyed the surrounding area, finding some Turian wreckage from the time of the Unification Wars, some salvage, and a couple of valuable mineral deposits.
The team then returned to the Normandy to plan their next move.

I wish there was a way to use ME3 gibbed editor to mimic a completed ME3 playthrough. It doesn't seem to work.
One thing I hate is you start off at level 30 (since you import from ME2), but your weapons are only at level 1.. and can only be upgraded to level V... until you play yet another playthrough and they can go to level X. I'd rather skip this.
edit: Well, just running through this. Saved at Citadel after Mars. I didn't install any DLC or even extended cut for this first run. Figured I should make it as short as I can, then I'll take the second playthrough more seriously.
Now I wonder if I should just neglect a lot of quests in general. I've NEVER abandoned Grissom, but it might be worth it for a heartbreaking run. I'm playing in offline mode too so I doubt I'll even have the EMS to survive anyhow.

I don't mod ME3 myself since I play on a console, but I do know that you can set a NG+ flag that allows you to upgrade guns to X on a single playthrough. I have also seen a guy (capn233) import a ME2 Shepard and mod the save so he starts ME3 at level 1. So you should be able to mod your game to make it NG+, although it gets VERY expensive to upgrade your weapons from III to X (picking up new weapons in a game modded to be NG+ means they go from I to III). So you may want to give yourself a whole lot of credits as well. As for skipping Grissom, I recommend doing it at least once, especially if Jack is alive in the import. It makes the playthrough extra special. Trust me.

Well, I'm already about to recruit Garrus. I might as well just play through. It's no biggie, I guess. I wish they hadn't messed this up for importers though. As for Jack, not only is she alive, but I'm romancing her.. so this is tough. I haven't decided... This would definitely make my Shep suicidal and stop caring though edit: I feel even more sorry for Thane and Miranda fans though. Thane you have no choice, but it was easy for many to miss a beat with Miranda and lose her... at least when the game came out.

Erin Shepard talked to the crew and met EDI in her new robot body. Then she toured the Citadel and met with Dr. Bryson, just in time to see him get shot to death by his assistant. Then she met with Aria who requested her help in retaking Omega. Then Erin raided a Cerberus Lab and recovered some Reaper tech, before going back to the Citadel to see Kaidan before he was discharged from the hospital. She also ran into Miranda while she was on the Citadel.
Erin is finally through the opening slog (Citadel + galaxy scanning always takes long).
Jen Shepard is up next; I need to get her through the opening slog as well.

(Waves) Well, folks, my Reaper slaying carrier is on hold for a couple of weeks. RO CBT starts tonight, so I will be checking it out before going back to the Renegade Campaign.
I've just been playing MP a little in the past few days, even got to play Silver games b/c the group leads will re-queue from Bronze to Silver & I think that after the RO-break, I will start queueing for Silver/Cerberus, since my Vg seems to be able to do that, and I want to get moving on maxing out the silver weapons/mods.

Dumb question: what is "RO CBT" ?

Jen Shepard ran after a Cerberus robot, then killed it after James crashed a shuttle and the robot injured Kaidan. Then it was off to the Citadel to ask the Citadel Council for help. They didn't help directly but told her how to get help... so that's something I guess.
Then it was back to the Normandy for a bad dream, galaxy scanning, crew talking, and weapon upgrading.
Tomorrow, it's off to Manae Jen goes!
