After a few weeks of chasing Geth, the Normandy was rather unfortunately blown up and Jenna died. However she came back, thanks to Cerberus, the one organisation she hates with a firey passion. In spite of having to work with the enemy, Jenna felt that Miranda would probably turn out to be her kind of person. She was introduced to the Illusive Man, and didn't think much of him, then run briefly into her old pal Tali. Tali wouldn't join her, she had problems of her own. The Illusive Man then gave her a list of people who might be willing to join her on what was looking like a suicide mission and top of that list was a Salarian, Professor Mordin Solus. First she had to deal with Aria T'Loak, but felt on familiar territory, she's probably more at home dealing with the folk on Omega than she ever was on the Citadel. Jenna was born and grew up on Earth, she was around people like Aria all her life, and if she hadn't joined the Alliance, she might have hoped to have risen to Aria's sort of level. In the slums, Mordin was helping people afflicted by a plague, and he was just the right mix of humanitarian (salaritarian? batariarian?)and bad ass she could warm to, Jenna decided she liked Mordin the moment she met him. Then she went in search of the mysterious vigilante known as Archangel. Well, that turned out to be her old pal Garrus. (Didn't die to the infamous Vorcha pyro, but got killed by a Varren on the third gate. Died there before, rather annoyingly. So far it's Vorcha Pyro 2, Varren and Krogan combo 2. No Shep of mine has yet to make it through Garrus' recruitment in one piece.I suck at ME2, especially the early bits...I don't think there's a recruitment mission i haven't died on in one playthrough or another before Horizon, although i usually do Kasumi's early and that i'm not sure i've ever died on that, got close though. I might do that one next, or Grunt. )

Postponed last night before Virmire.
Been trying to play a Renegade playthrough, but not using intimidation/charm points (at least not this first playthrough). It's funny... it's hard to get a decent Renegade score without it. If I don't kill rachni and Wrex, I'll end up being more Paragade. edit: I basically have to play similar to Failshep to get what I want. lol

I managed to get used to all the controls over the weekend, and I absolutely adore the new mini puzzles for locks, hacks and planetary scans. The only thing that eludes me is how to land on an unknown planet after detecting the anomaly.
New companions - just so cool! Solus and Garrus are the best combo ever in terms of voiceover dialogue. Grunt is okay. Seeing how I loved Wrex in the first game, I thought I'd be more excited, but Mordin is great, and Garrus feels more interesting in the second game.
Anywaaaays, I just did the Horizon mission today, and was all anticipation about getting Kaiden back, but no dice. Ah, BioWare... Well, Shepard got a hug out of it.
Can't wait till I get to play next time!

Shawna Shepard avenged Admiral Kahoku by raiding the last Cerberus base and killing everyone she found there. She also took down a Thresher Maw that was in her way.

Daily Log of Events by your favorite Paragon! --Only equipping Garrus, Wrex, Liara and Kaidan with new stuff. Wrex and Garrus are going with me to Virmire. Kaidan and Garrus did Feros; Garrus and Liara did Noveria. --Saved all of the stoned scientists from the biotic terrorists. No one dies under my watch if I can help it. Or if the plot demands it. --Took care of Noveria. Chuckled at the Cerberus colors on the trams. --Did the Lorik glitch, but with only 2 renegade points, I couldn't start maxing that out. I've gotten two more so far and I'll count how many I get after shooting the indoctrinated salarians and Rana. I did say 'Fuck it' and got paragon maxed. I was close anyways. --Finished Feros. Colonists saved: 16/16. Took me one game reload. Second mention of Cerberus. --Found two more Thresher Maws, including the one out of bounds. --Got the Trophy for Paragon. Oh like you guys are shocked. --Got the Trophy for saving everyone at Zhu's Hope. Medallion of Honor or something like that. --Got the Rich trophy. Me and Scrooge Mc'Duck. --Got a serious upgrade...of light armor. An upgrade is an upgrade I suppose. --Got my first piece of Spectre master gear. My new AR is shiny. --All of the galaxy collections are finished except for the Prothean Discs. --Sniffled slightly at the death of Gene Wilder. Next time! --Bring Down the Sky at last. Kaidan and Garrus are coming with. --Virmire. Bye Ash... --Citadel. Watching Udina get punched never gets old --Ilos. Now 100% black box bug free! Featuring a bird man and a lady with hair thingies!

Jonathan Shepard:
1. After recruiting Tali, I brought her on board to be welcomed by Jacob. She mentioned her displeasure with Cerberus and willingness to help me blow them up. Jacob then threw in something about introducing herself to the ship's AI. Yeah, moving from distrust to outright dislike of this guy. Given quarian history with the geth, how could he say something like that?
2. Destroyed, of all things, a geth climate changing device. The geth don't need to breathe so their decision to change the climate of a planet is baffling - unless it's to make it uninhabitable for organic life.
3. Stopped a geth plot to have the MSV Broken Arrow crash into the Fargone colony.
4. Saved Patriarch for Aria T'Loak. Let everyone think his krantt was fighting for his honor.
5. Went after Morinth with Samara. She was tough. Very persuasive. Had I not known what she really was it would have been hard to turn her down. But I did know and so helped Samara kill her.
6. Rescued a quarian from a pack of varren.
7. More of the Firewalker project led me to a giant prothean, like the one I'd come across while hunting Saren. Unlike that older one that instilled a vision in me, this one glowed when I touched it before shrinking down to the size of a ball. It's now sitting in my quarters. I have no idea of what to do with it. Wish Liara were around. A later message said that it sent out a burst of data that offered more insight into biotics. 8. Destroyed a Blood Pack base. Can't do enough of that.
9. Spoke for Tali at her trial. They accused her of bringing active geth to the Migrant Fleet. The thing is, her main accuser is a believer in trying to make peace with the geth, a worthy goal. Too bad he drew Tali into his political maneuvering. In any case, we retook the Alarei from the geth. We found evidence that Tali's father intentionally brought the geth online and then lost control of them. Tali asked me to keep this information from the admirals. Against my better judgment, I did as she asked. I instead used her past heroism as a defense, which thankfully worked. Tali then returned with me to the Normandy.
10. Firewalker - found atmospheric data. Unclear on the relationship between this and the prothean data.
11. Project Overlord: An attempt to interface a human with a geth to control the synthetics. Not happy about this. Dr. Gavin Archer should be happy I didn't put a bullet in his brain. David Archer has been sent to Grissom Academy.
12. Went with Jacob to rescue his father. Brought Miranda along. Guy turned out to be a real winner. He fed his people food that took away their ability to think clearly and set himself up as a king. He's basically been raping the female crew for 10 years and been responsible for many deaths. I convinced Jacob to send the guy to prison rather the kill him, but mostly because I think that was the resolution that would keep him in the best mind set. Really wish I'd left him behind to let the victims handle it but removing them all to safety ended up restoring their minds.
13. Found an ExoGeni archaeological dig overrun by the Blue Suns. Took them out and came across a prothean video log. It gave me a vision of the Collectors but it was difficult to understand.

Finally finished up this ME1 run. Couldn't bring myself to be as Renegade as I planned. Saved the Rachni at least.

Daily log of events! --Finished doing rachni and thorian creeper cleanup --BDtS: Balak released, all missing team members found -- Finally got a heavy armor upgrade. --Finished Virmire, sent Kaidan and kept the STG team alive. --I still get a lump in my throat when I see that nuke blow. Next time! --Last minute shopping. --Helping a drug addict --Keith David knocking out a pompous ass. Count of renegade points so far: +4=Bitchy with the Council twice. Once was just after Virmire. +9=Rana. Worth it every time +2=Taking out the indoctrinated salaraians Edit: +2=Merely accepting Helena Blake's quest. Current total: 15 17 Renegade. Watch out, we've got a real badass motherfucker up in here! Edit: Whoops, missed two more points for taking Helena Blake's quest. I still went paragon for the result.

I actually finished my first ever ME3 play through. In spite of watching many YouTube videos beforehand, I cried at the end not to mention I accidently picked the wrong ending two times and still cried each time. I've just started my 2nd ME1 game now. lol. I know, late to the party! You're not the only one. I've read several posts from folks who started playing the trilogy this year If you have questions about the games, don't hesitate to ask. Heh Thanks!! I was anxious to try the games after I found out about them through my DA addiction, but just never had time, but now I'm in trouble because I'm in love lol! I have a bunch of little questions but not sure if anyone really has answers, like what happened to some of the NPCs after/ during ME3 (the turian/asari couple with the kids at the docking bay made me so freaking sad, and did that teen in the refugee area ever find her parents? Im in the middle of my second play through for ME1 and tried going a Renegade route this time instead of Paragon and Omg I can't stop laughing. I somehow missed finding the citizens on Eden Prime during my first play through (I couldn't figure out the hacking at first lmao I'm dumb) and my Shep knocked out one of them, and I nearly died at the "Its a large stupid jellyfish" line at the citadel. And I was kind of horrified that I think my Shep had sex with that asari consort? I don't remember doing that my first play through. I didnt know that could happen, I was so embarrassed omg sorry you guys had to stand there and watch that, garrus and wrex

If interested, this is what Shepard is capable of doing

Spoiler alert: Shepard can be the biggest bastard in the galaxy. Play your cards right (or wrong) and Shepard can get everyone they know killed in one way or another. Including themselves in ME2. If you want to know how to play Renegade, mike's your man. I tend to be paragon in ME1 and ME3, with paragade in ME2. Edit: Don't worry, Shepard didn't shag the asari consort. The asari are just touchy-feely like that, but thankfully that wasn't sex even by magical asari standards. They love touching Shepard, sometimes to really unsettling degrees. Like with Shiala, the Asari commando that Shep could save on Feros.

Edit: I can help give advice on how to do a mostly paragon run that won't screw a person out of War Assets come ME3. Mike is dead on. Going completely goody-two-shoes can be detrimental. I found that one out the hard way with Rana my first time through. 100% paragon isn't a good thing, but you can do one that's primarily that alignment throughout the series.

BioWare always makes the worst happen. On a clean run it's always fine.

A paragon can have Wrex killed on Virmire without receiving any renegade points. How cool is that? In that playthrough I also let the council die. I got 8 renegade points. Those were the only renegade points I received in the playthrough. Whether the player chooses to play renegade or paragon, its up to him/her what decisions to make for his/her Shepard.

I usually save Rana, even on Renegades. 1) Her acting is good lol. She really begs for her life... I can't help but feel sorry for her. 2) It's Mark Meer's wife. Seems appropriate Oh and 3) Okeer's mission seems a little better with her in there.

Honestly, I love not only that you've done all the renegade stuff but that you've posted the videos. It lets me see what could happen while maintaining my Shepard's halo.

Started ME2.. I think I'm just gonna follow the questline or achievement list closely. Which is good, it seems I'll recruit Jack first. She's my favorite character, but funnily I usually recruit her next to last. So I never play with her at Omega getting Garrus or Mordin. Needs to be rectified.

Another from my archives, I think a lot of Mass Effect fans are doing some soul-searching these days like Shep here. I wish my Femsheps looked as cool as yours. As for me, all I did all day was post on this site. I wish I could take credit, she's a headmorph i got from masseffect2faces.com, just load them in using the gibbed editor, couldn't be easier!

Finished Mass Effect 1. Ilos looks a lot cooler without needing to use the viewmode command. However, I did run into a harmless but creepy music glitch. Out of nowhere, as I'm getting ready to open the door to the bunker, the music slowed down to half speed. Everything else was just fine, only the music was bugged. A quick save/reload took care of that one. It happened briefly in the plaza just before getting into the Mako.

Stopped at Kasumi's mission. Usually I go straight to Omega and Mordin. This time I went Jack to Citadel and met Anderson. I don't usually do that, but the story makes as much sense this way. Especially if you're defying TIM's first advice about Mordin (even if he's correct).

After LotSB crashed in more than one spot, I got tired of trying to figure out how to make it work. I used gibbed to make the came finished with everyone surviving. Then I imported Jonathan Shepard into ME3. Saved on Earth before running after Anderson. Modded that to complete LotSB and Arival. I also used it to complete Grunt and Mordin's missions successfully. Saved Maelon's data. 12 people survived the suicide mission. Oddly enough, I turned the Collector base over to TIM. Not something I normally do but that's what I said during the import process. Just seeing that I saved Kaidan and that I romanced him prior to ME2 made me happy enough not to care. So, on with the show. Jonathan Shepard, Soldier, Space, War Hero: 1. Under house arrest for a) working with Cerberus and killing 300,000 batarians. Both were for a good cause. Stripped of my rank and ship, I was given hot food and a soft bed. Not happy but it could be much worse. Watched a kid playing outside. 2. Lt. James Vega told me the Defense Committee wanted to see me. Ran into Kaidan Alenko in the hall. He'd been promoted to major. It was the first I was hearing about it but I was glad to run into him. 3. Defense Committee wanted me to tell them what was going on regarding a large fleet headed our way. I told them what they already knew: it was the Reapers. Destroying the Alpha Relay, which resulted in those 300,000 deaths, was a delaying tactic to give us time to prepare for the Reapers. Naturally, they wasted that time by locking me up. Unfortunately, the Reapers made their way to Earth and began their attack. The entire Defense Committee was killed. The only people in the room to survive were myself and Anderson. 4. Followed Anderson on a dangerous trek to reach the Normandy. I had turned it over to the Alliance when I turned myself in after destroying the Alpha Relay. Had to fight husks and a new kind of reaper we later called cannibals. They eat corpses to gain strength. 5. I boarded the Normandy but Anderson said he was staying behind. He ordered me to the Citadel to beg the Council for help. I refused until he pulled out my dog tags, threw them at me and told me I was reinstated. He must have been holding onto them, waiting for the opportunity to give them back to me. 6. The boy I'd seen playing earlier had gotten aboard a rescue shuttle. As the Normandy was leaving, I watched in horror as a Reaper blew it out of the sky. I'd thought he was safe inside that shuttle but that just shows me that nowhere on Earth is safe. 7. Kaidan and James were aboard the Normandy. Joker was piloting it, which is some kind of crazy miracle given that he has also been with Cerberus. EDI was also still present, which meant that the Alliance probably thought she was a VI instead of an AI. 8. Orders came from Admiral Hackett, telling me to go to the Mars Archives (where we'd first found the technology to make use of mass relays). He also told me Liara T'Soni was there and had discovered a possible means of destroying the Reapers. 9. When we arrived at Mars we saw evidence of Alliance soldiers having been shot with no resistance. Then we heard gunfire and saw an Alliance soldier on his knees with his hands on the back of his head being executed by Cerberus. We killed all of the Cerberus people we found but not in time to save any of our soldiers. 10. Kaidan kept asking me what Cerberus was doing. I told him I had no idea. Finally, James said that I was under constant observation and that there's no way I could have had any contact with Cerberus after returning to Earth. And this from a guy who says he loves me. 11. Liara told us about a Prothean device that, when built, could destroy the Reapers. We would have to travel to another part of the Archives to get the blueprints. Sent Vega back to the shuttle so our exit was covered. Then we fought some more Cerberus agents. We found the controls to the pedway and prepared to leave.

On my next full playthrough I'm going to try to recruit out of order. Usually it's Kasumi first, along with her loyalty mission. (I kind of like this because I hate having my Alliance guy running around in Cerberus togs. With Kasumi's mission I get to wear the dress clothes.) Then Zaeed, Garrus and Mordin. Then Jack and Grunt.

Kasumi was my second. I saved at her mission earlier. Got tired for now. I mean, I went to the Citadel to see Anderson, after Jack. Jack has some of the best comments there.

Shawna Shepard went to Noveria: 1. Got stopped by Noveria security for having weapons. Kept the weapons.
2. A Hanar wanted help smuggling a package. I got the package, then told him I'd keep it. Some Krogan named Inamorda wasn't happy about that, so he and his posse tried to kill me. I killed them instead.
3. A Turian name Lorik Quin offered me his garage pass if he got some data from his office, which was being ransacked by security. I killed everyone in his office and got him the data. Some Internal Affairs officer named Gianna was not happy that I gave him the data. She's lucky I don't rat her out to Anoleas.
4. Got ambushed by Geth in the garage.
5. Went to Peak 15, killed a bunch of Geth.
6. Peak 15 was shut down. Restarted it by repairing Mira (the station VI), the landlines, and fuel reactors. Had to kill a bunch of Geth and giant bugs along the way.
7. Took a tram to Rift Station. Met with their chief security guy. Killed a couple more bugs.
8. Sold a bunch of extraneous equipment to an Elcor salesman.
