Looks like the facial animations are still stiff, awkward, and sometimes even horrendous, but that's okay....who cares about character interaction? Implying the facial animations are the worst in any game ever, or that facial animations even inherently effect character interaction at all. KOTOR and ever single Fallout game sure do have shit characters because of their facial animations. So does Metal Gear Solid. The first two Witcher games? Total garbage characters and interactions because of those animations. Man, why do I even play narrative and character focused games? They're all just so trash in the animation department. It literally ruins the entire thing. |

Not Smudboy's proudest moment though. He's basically slandering them outright here, cherry picking the worst things from an otherwise decent impression and making it seem as if it was more emphasized than it was. He also liked the IGN video with the Nexus just because it wasn't BioWare's marketing... or so he thought because no one had told him that IGN was coordinating what they were showing WITH BioWare. If I'd told him that, he'd probably lower his impression of it lol. has smudboy ever had a good moment? Idk "smudboy", but that's a good question, considering the Nexus video was one of the most recent ones, and literally everyone knew that IGN was coordinating with Bioware to market this thing. Where the hell has he been all this time? |

I do find it stupid enough to be sad though. I find it rather incredulous that they couldn't come up with a fourth resource, and instead made water count as 2. A friend of mine pointed out that they could be referring to C 10H 15N rather than H 2O when they say 'Ice'. That would fit with Bioware's general attitude towards what constitutes great gameplay. |

Launch trailer was kinda lame, but I can't really say that's an accurate representation of anything, considering the fact that every trailer ever made for anything ever is cut together and paced in the exact same way.
Trailers are bad.
But as far as how well it played out as a trailer, it was exactly what I expected. I was glad to see more Alec and Sara, since Scott was the main character in this trailer. It kinda implies they might actually... do... uh... something? No idea what that something is. Still putting money on Alec dying fairly early. Still, seeing Sara being attacked kinda looks like a mid/late game event.
I actually kinda liked the song, after the second viewing. The first time it was funny, but it's catchy. I suppose pop songs are always catchy, so that doesn't necessarily mean it's good, but I can see myself humming that for awhile.
Were a lot of big ship battles and explosions. Usually I'd be rolling my eyes at how predictable stuff like that is, but I guess I was starting to fall under the impression that Andromeda didn't have a whole lot in terms of stakes, so I guess it kinda put that into perspective. Stuff is happening. Whatever that means.
Facial animations really are pretty bad. I'll still argue that it's not that big a deal, and I believe it, but it's hard to not notice it.

Well... Fuck.
I've just cancelled my pre-order for the third time. As soon as I saw the first twitch stream, I should'a done it then. But no, I waited. I waited for this stream. The thing that really kills it for me? Jumping. Jump puzzles. I got so sick of jumping in DAI. Jumping whenever I needed to get over a rock that was 1/8 an inch off the ground. Jumping to get up hills. Ugh.
It would be fine if they started out on that foot. Like the reboot of Tomb Raider. But they didn't. They are dramatically changing how the game plays with that one addition.
It's like a bunch'a old people got together to write a bunch'a 20 yo people and wrote them as idiots. "*Liam punches wall* 'Something has to go right, it just has to!'"
Seriously Liam? How many sparring matches have you been in? How many fights (not with live ammo) have you been in? How many times have had your ass completely handed to you? Did something go right in those fights, too? Seriously, a cop saying this shit? Holy fuck. Every single cop I know of would be saying, "Well, guess today's gonna be a bad day. Guess today's the day that I'm gonna get the shit kicked out of me."
Just cringe worthy. And I didn't want them to marry SW and ME together. That was about the most cringe worthy. ME stood on it's own feet trading blows with SW.
I could give you others, but holy fuck.

I don't think the game will crash financially or it needs more polish.
It's just not for me.
I still can't believe that some writer out at BioWare got the bright idea to put in a line from SW. It was going toe to toe with SW. I'll see your Jedi lore and raise you an asari lore. I'll see your Sith lore and raise you a prothean lore.
