A good large cabin with a nice big bed and screens to interact with would be nice. Customisable like the room in skyhold was.

Bio did say we have a Pathfinder quarters. I guess i'm still invested in the idea of being a normal crew member who's just working their way through Andromeda. What i remember about Westerns, it's the "special" ones who get singled out and killed/get involved in shady deals. Space wise, there's a lot that can be done with a bunk, trunk and locker if they're willing to spare the brain power and let N7 be Mr. Coolbreeze/Lulz-i-gots-my-ownz-room. Since seamless game-world is one of main game features this time, I wouldn't be surprised if there is no lift at all. So we just have a stairwell. Make us… walk?! Never! This is the future! We should be hovering around everywhere, sparing our poor legs the effort… waaait, wasn't there a movie about that. I suppose it could be like with the Citadel where you just end-up where you want to be after selecting it but would lose some of the immersion by doing that. Across worlds, after you've gone to visit it, that's different. I really don't like seeing the whole transportation process more than once. Bio talked a lot about seamless in the DA:I franchise = seamless transition between maps but that was not the case for all maps. Well, i think for the Tempest, it should be fairly reasonable to make the whole map seemless since the entirety of it should be small, especially in comparison to the larger world maps which'll require loading times but nothing we should comprehend unless we're viewing with a 4K display/TV.

I like to have one filled with piranha. I would have the Superbowl trophy. The Stanley Cup. The Oscar from the Academy Awards. Of course they would be replicas and not the real trophies Wait a minute? Do you mean from killing enemies? Hmm. I rather just put a notch in my helmet A photo of Ryder's family. A photo of my Ryder the first time eating her/his first Big Mac. A photo of my Ryder's first halloween dressed up as Bugs Bunny. A photo of her/him looking at Earth for the last time before leaving for Andromeda. A photo of TIM I would have a shower and there would be a Cision Pro Mark 4 toothbrush on the sink. It would be a shout out to Samantha Traynor. excellent Also like to have the ability to bring up ESPN to see what's going on in the sports world. My Ryder needs to keep up with what's happening to the Panthers. Have the 24 hour movie channel . My Ryder wants to be able to watch Clint Eastwood movies whenever she/he wants. excellent

I'm expecting a similar layout to the original Normandy, just with a faster lift, since the game'll be running on faster hardware. That's the thing though... I find newer games either have about equal or longer loading times than older games. When I'm in the mood for something nostalgic, I'm often surprised and impressed at how fast they load. And I'm not talking about super old stuff, either. It seems hardware isn't keeping up with games themselves ,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸-(_MEA_)-,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸ Bio did say we have a Pathfinder quarters. What I expect to see is: 1- no fish tank 2- a trophy wall 3- a photo wall of the gang as the game progresses and of snapshots Ryder takes. 4- a bed, couch, desk and no shower stall 5- a comm system for email, orders,.. etc.
What? You can't have your own quarters without a shower! Preposterous. Well, the game will probably run at 1080 on most platforms, so that would fit most displays. Even the screenshots on the Xbox One are in full resolution, which is nice. I like to have one filled with piranha. You want a fish tank filled with these? I mean, I suppose it would fit the lore, but... And hey, guns are probably quite resistant to water damage in ME.

Heh, I liked the Fancy Normandy in ME2. I hope Tempest is like that, but I doubt it. So, an expeditionary look is okay. I think I would not mind plants rather than fishtank. I loved my fishtank in ME, but I feel a hydroponics shelf with different plants might actually be more practical for a spaceship.

With how much they have been pushing customization as a big feature in this game, maybe we can choose how the interior of the Tempest looks like how we could with Skyhold in Inquisition. They could offer a few options like military, civilian, expeditionary, etc.

But it doesn't sound that deep, more like an extended version of Shepard's collection habits.

It seems hardware isn't keeping up with games themselves Sadly, this isn't new. What we, the public, see is usually the ramped-down versions of what the developers had in mind. It's why operating system companies can brag about "all the features they've added". It basically comes down to how much of the shit they've been dreaming up that can load without making the computer seem like it's practically crawling, which tends to my reinstalling basic system software with the minimal of options. Oh, and loads of RAM to match up with their setups. The game way of doing this, at least for computers, is taking the "recommended" and turning down a process-heavy option or two. Boy, does the game tend to run smoother after that. more like an extended version of Shepard's collection habits I think that, at some point, we're fast approaching "hoarder" territory with the things we can collect. This should be an achievement option if you collect everything.

I hope there's good ambient music on the Tempest - its own version of the Normandy music from ME1.
I still get nostalgic every time I listen to this! It's so simple and repetitive but really distinctive at the same time and I like how it starts off with one layer and builds up to the main part of the theme.
I know a lot of people were hoping for the option of picking music for the ship, like Shepard's cabin in ME2, but I'd be more excited for a really well-written background theme that helps create the mood and atmosphere in the Tempest, just like the Normandy.

"They may be doing things that draw you toward them, or they may be calibrating" Well, it looks I can't complain that doesn't feel like ME anymore. "You still can drop by to talk to the pilot (a salarian)," I guess this is the main reveal today. Not sure how I feel about it yet, gotta hear him first. -Here I have some kind of Remnant crystall, sometime I hear how it hums when I sleep, but that's ok. And this the most advanced Khet weapon I've stumbled upon, damn primitives. -And this is...? -The rock. -The rock? -Yes.

- “If you’re parked in front of a planet, you actually see that planet everywhere you go on the Tempest.”
- "Now, it’s so much smoother to be on the ship, land on a planet, jump around, go inside a building. It’s all very seamless, so breaking down the barriers frees up the player to explore and do activities."
- “But they’ll be doing things and interacting with the ship, because it’s a small crew and everybody has a job. So they need to be looking like they’re active."
- “Mass Effect 1 did a good job of using the Normandy for those pinch points in the critical path, and Mass Effect 3 did a good job making it feel alive with the way the characters moved around the ship,” Walters says. “The Tempest is a combination of those two things."
I'm liking this a lot. An aspect I really enjoyed about the original Mass Effect was how immersive being on the SR1 was. It felt like I was on an actual space ship (or at least how I would imagine it to be, obviously) at times. From the decontamination chamber to the winding walkways towards the crew deck, and even waiting on that damn elevator, it felt like my ship. I also thought it immersive whenever the Normandy was docked at the Citadel or Noveria, and seeing the surrounding areas outside the bridge windows. I never got the same vibe in the sequels, but what I really liked about ME3 was how the squadmates would move around the ship and have conversations with each other or the crew. The Tempest sounds like a further evolution of both concepts, so I'm doubly excited. -Here I have some kind of Remnant crystall, sometime I hear how it hums when I sleep, but that's ok. And this the most advanced Khet weapon I've stumbled upon, damn primitives. -And this is...? -The rock. -The rock? -Yes. haha I raised my eyebrows at that part. Wow, a rock! So valuable!

Certainly sounds interesting, our salarian pilot, the garage where your customised mako is parked, how your quarters get that lived-in feel as the game progresses even having some control on the décor. It also mentioned the possibility of there being other scout ships from the other arks. I can't wait to see some game play on all of this...

They have no clearance whatsoever to use new media. I get it about videos, but couldn't they use some new screens? those are just shots from the various trailers.

Considering the small crew of the Tempest, I think there are good chances that the salarian we saw in the E3 trailer is our pilot.

MEMENTOS! Also, yes, a rock might sound a bit odd at first, but it could be a really cool looking rock , or have sentimental value. Who knows? Interesting about the salarian pilot considering the Tempest is presumably tied to the Hyperion. I wonder what they'll be like. Nice to have another salarian main character, too!

Well the Hiperion already had an asari on board. Some members of other species might still be present in the other Arks, and not just the main one. I am glad he's of a different species. It might help make him different and not compare him to Joker.

Who know, maybe the part of the N7D trailer with the salarians is a quest related to the pilot.
