I hope all my squadmates get their own sleeping quarters now. Or just at least a bunkbed.

Sounds like they want to improve over ME3's squad mates moving around the ship, and that's great, it was the best improvement they made to the Normandy over the trilogy, imo. Interesting to know about the salarian pilot too, I wonder how that'll fit with the Hyperion being the human ark, perhaps the population of the Arks isn't as homogenous as we thought?
The other features are things that will be better judged when seen rather than being told about, though they all sound pretty good, especially the no load screens.

Will my Ryder be able to have a poster of Earth in the cabin. How about a poster of TIM? How about a mannequin wearing Cerberus armor? Is the rock from Earth or the moon?
Will there be models of the Hyperion, Nexus, Tempest? For an easter egg, can my Ryder have a model of Harbinger? ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL. excellent If Ryder has his/her personal bathroom, can she/he have a Cision Pro Mark 4 toothbrush for brushing his/her teeth. It would be a nice shout out to Samantha Traynor. excellent.
Will my Ryder have a radio to listen to Ozzy, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Metallica etc?

"One of the most conspicuous objects in the galley is a holographic interface that allows Ryder to modify skill-point distribution, which is how you change your abilities between missions."
We're getting "skill loadouts" now? Not enough mappable buttons once again?
Meh.

I immediately thought of Alud Ochren ... how that personality might fit well into ME:A. masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/OchrenHahaha the way he looked bored as hell in the midst of bunch of happy trigger soldiers and mercenaries. "One of the most conspicuous objects in the galley is a holographic interface that allows Ryder to modify skill-point distribution, which is how you change your abilities between missions." We're getting "skill loadouts" now? Not enough mappable buttons once again? Meh. You could also change skill points between missions inside the Normandy.

I think he's referring to the fact that we can switch between all the type of powers, soldier, biotic and tech, freely, as well a profiles. Regardless, DAI had 8 mappable buttons, I think if we get 8 mappable power it'll be enough, it'll be more active powers then we got in ME2 and ME3.

Very excited to have a Salarian pilot! I hope it's the "Don't touch that" Salarian. (I suspect his VA is Brandon Keener.) I still think the Tempest looks like a Macaroni penguin. Red beak, white belly, black dorsal surface, eyebrows, short wings, landing gear at the back. Perched on a cliff.

I'M SO EXCITED. This is pretty much everything I've been hoping for! To enumerate: 1. Cabin souvenirs! I absolutely loved the version of that system we got in ME2/3, with stuff like the Prothean Sphere, your old helmet and dogtags, and so on. Between those, the pets, and the model ships, ME2/3 genuinely had the only take on in-game collectables I've ever truly liked/engaged with, and I'm so, so glad to hear we'll be getting something similar - perhaps even expanded upon! - in Andromeda. And cabin decor customisation as well! The whole idea that, as we progress through the game, the cabin will get "more of a moved-in feeling" is far more exciting to me than it probably should be... 2. We'd seen it before, but that gigantic main viewscreen is still absolutely beautiful, and to get confirmation that what we'll see through it and the various windows will change depending on where we are and what the ship's doing is just fantastic. Which leads me on to... 3. "After passing through an elliptical corridor (similar to one seen on the Normandy), you are in the galley. This area has more of an atrium-like feel, with windows offering a nice view and stairs leading up to a seating area on a second level. " Here's hoping for some cool scenes of us staring out those Ten-Forward galley windows as beautiful space stuff floats by--whether in solitary contemplation, or conversation. Shame they've confirmed no bartender; every ship could do with a Guinan. (Or a Quark, though that'll net you a pretty different sort of sagely advice...) 4. No loading, duh. 5. Salarian Joker is so yes!

She appears to be multi-functional. Navigating the star map is improved over the trilogy.. = good design. We also know where/when we can re-allocate out skill points.... I wonder if the same place allows us to tweak out appearance?
Bet we won't see the Heads any longer. Looking back, Normandy showed female and male Heads but were made for humans, yet carried alien species... a faux pas, if you ask me.

Notice the Salarian pilot. I'm slightly confused here.
The Hyperion, according to the Jien Garson brief, is the human colony ARK, containing humans (mostly?) and also carries the Tempest.
Why a Salarian Tempest Pilot? In other words, the GI article specifically mentioned it. Does this mean another Joker? A valuable NPC with lots of lines of dialogue? Will there be a Krogan Gunnery Officer as well? 'Cause if that's the case, I need my Turian female calibrations Officer!

Considering the small crew of the Tempest, I think there are good chances that the salarian we saw in the trailer is our pilot. Could be, but that would mean it's either piloting itself or someone else is taking over (not that either of those would be that odd). I forget, were there other salarians in the trailer there too? Or just one? I see that The Elder King already explained which salarian he meant. Still, to answer your question, there were three salarians in that clip. It looked like they were fleeing toward Tempest. (I know it's going to drive me crazy listening to characters call the ship " The Tempest", as if that's the name emblazoned across her side. Ugh.) It looked like they needed extraction from a hot situation. "One of the most conspicuous objects in the galley is a holographic interface that allows Ryder to modify skill-point distribution, which is how you change your abilities between missions." We're getting "skill loadouts" now? Not enough mappable buttons once again? Meh. Likely we will see the return of loadouts, but we never needed a ton of active powers in ME like we do in DA. Also, the galley respec interface is actually where we go to fully respec our character, not just to reprogram our "powers loadout". They mentioned this in the first GI article. It was interesting to get a bit of a physical description, I guess. In general, this article was more interesting than anything they've offered since N7 Day. The only thing truly new bit was the info about the pilot. The rest had already been said via numerous other channels, but it was nice to have it all gathered neatly into one, concise article. I'm not any less excited to play the game, but I've definitely lost my enthusiasm for this trickle of info. I hope to excited about the gameplay demo, but after that I think I'll lay low for a few months. I don't know how some of you sustain the hype for months unending. (I'm glad you do, of course. Someone has to keep the lights on!) I just can't do it. I'm already getting fatigued by the same old conversations. I'll save my hype for (hopefully) March.

Salarian pilot, hmmmm... "At least I don't have Vrolik's Syndrome, yes?" (looking at the bridge shot from trailer, so if Salarian is the pilot, what is the Krogan's job...co-pilot? ) Yay, cabin mementos (I hope for model ships too :3) Not much new info...oh well, time to wait for the next article xD

Still not a fan of the exterior of the Tempest, but the interior sounds like it could be nice. I wish they could have shown some images of the interior. I'm fairly neutral on its exterior design. I think overall it's pretty cool, futuristic airplane and all that... but do think it looks slightly flattened. I would also like to see some shots of the interior, because I'm mainly hoping right now that it has more light inside than the SR-1 or Alliance SR-2. ME1's was okay, but ME3's was just depressing. It made sense for the mood, as did the utilitarian feel (cables everywhere, low power consumption). But I think something more lit-up would suit Andromeda's feel better, being a more optimistic game in some ways, or at least not doom-and-gloom. Will there be flushable toilets though??? Asking the important questions Well, there was that random shower in Leviathan you could activate and make Shepard all wet for few seconds, Nathan Drake style. Not really sure what the point of that was. To show they could have characters covered in water? Did they actually use that anywhere in the game? I don't even remember. I'm glad we're not flying the ship ourselves. I hope they bring back the "XO Pressly has the deck" message with the seamless transitions I was actually just thinking that we should probably have an XO/Number 1 this time, who'll be in command while we're on away-missions. I hope they put the Shepard VI as the new EDI That would be both hilarious and painful But it would fit the timeline... And we don't need to complain about it being out-of-character, because remember, 7% accuracy "One of the most conspicuous objects in the galley is a holographic interface that allows Ryder to modify skill-point distribution, which is how you change your abilities between missions." We're getting "skill loadouts" now? Not enough mappable buttons once again? Meh. DA:I had 8 because we used one of the triggers to select another set of 4. Both triggers are already used in ME, so they'd need to find another solution to still have 8. If there really is a limit, I just don't get it. Why? We could always use the radial menu before, so why not just let us again, since it's still there? I hate having a power I can't use, and I also hate having my character seem like they only know how to do a few things, especially if one of them is throwing grenades. We still need confirmation on this, but if so, I'll be a bit disappointed and a bit surprised considering all the criticism DA:I's slot-limit got. Anyway, I think the article mentioned there being some mysterious story reason you could re-allocate points this time around. Remnant tech? Here's hoping there is also a Mirror of Transformation, because that hasn't been confirmed yet. I'M SO EXCITED. This is pretty much everything I've been hoping for! 2. We'd seen it before, but that gigantic main viewscreen is still absolutely beautiful, and to get confirmation that what we'll see through it and the various windows will change depending on where we are and what the ship's doing is just fantastic. Shame they've confirmed no bartender; every ship could do with a Guinan. (Or a Quark, though that'll net you a pretty different sort of sagely advice...) Yay, I was hoping for a viewscreen, too! I now expect to be able to communicate with other ships/outposts with it! Just being able to sit/stand and look out into the stars (normally or FTL) would be pretty cool for me, since I like just looking at the sky sometimes. In conversation, it would be a nice backdrop, but I'd be really pleased if it was the topic of conversation They should have had a bartender, and they should have been voiced by one of the Inquisitors, since Mark Meer voiced DA:I's bartender And there should be one of the other Inquisitors as one of the people who hangs out in the galley Ahh, it's too bad they never had Krem talk to Cabot. Huge missed opportunity for meta-jokes, which I know Bioware loves. Oh, Kirky. I love your enthusiasm. 4. You're delightful. 1. You're still a hero \ / -- 2. Impressive! \ 3. Typical of the Chantry Wow, props for going through the effort of making that tree! I know, because I did it once. Had to keep editing to get the lines to line up properly since the preview was different. Also, not quite the right conversation, but: Nice Cassandra reference, too. Took me a minute to remember! Anyway, you have a point. I understand ElementZero when he says he's not sure how you all sustain your hype so long! So when I catch up on this thread and see Kirky jump in with that never-ending enthusiasm, caps, emoticons, and TNG gifs, I can't help but grin The avatar helps get that across, too. Always good to see people excited for something, and I have to admit it can be contagious. Oh, Kirky. I love your enthusiasm. i ship it. Hey, you never know! I met my girlfriend here after all Or, not here, but you know. BSN. Could be, but that would mean it's either piloting itself or someone else is taking over (not that either of those would be that odd). I forget, were there other salarians in the trailer there too? It looked like they needed extraction from a hot situation. Interesting you mention that, actually, since I haven't seen anyone do it. While it's technically correct, it usually makes me double-take to hear a ship only referred to by its name and without the article in the front. Ingrained inaccuracy and all that. I have heard it, such as in Halo, though it's not 100% consistent there. "Supplies from Spirit of Fire" rather than "Supplies from the Spirit of Fire" etc. Even just Enterprise sounds odd. Captain of the Enterprise. Captain of Enterprise. Hmm... Though I suppose it was usually "Picard to Enterprise". Didn't Legion call it just "Normandy"? Anyway, just some sleepy incoherent thoughts.
