Which gun type will you use the most in MEA?

Assault. And I'm planning to play towards vanguard.. so myself too

I prefer squashing everything with biotics but a nice Carnifex pistol is occasionally useful

Something like a Prothean Particle Beam.

In any shooting game I've always been the most comfortable with ARs. Depending on the size of the Andromeda maps, I may use sniper rifles more often.

I get assault rifles being popular, but I gotta ask... what's the deal with the shotguns?

I always thought they kinda sucked ass and took way too long to kill stuff. lol

Even pistols did more work for me.

As someone who usually play's Vangaurd or Sentinal, It's Assault rifles for me. I've never gotten along with Shotguns in any game EVER. My class type means Sniper rifles aren't viable since I can use Biotics, and SMG's are just meh. I do like the Arc Pistol in ME:3 though, so I usually carry that as a back-up.

I just like shooting people square in the face, so shotguns were the clear choice for me. My favorite, the N7 Piranha loads pretty quickly too.

I voted Sniper rifle but it's even between sniper rifles and pistols for me. I usually switch between them depending on how close the enemy is. My hand-to-eye co-ordination leaves something to be desire but I just love sniper rifles so I use them anyway.

I've tried using shotguns but while they can be fun sometimes they're not for me. Submachine guns... I haven't really touched one more than passingly. Assault rifles seem to be really popular but I find them rather boring.

Heavy pistol Vanguard. Hopefully MEA will have a variant of the M-358 Talon.

Shotguns I guess, if the types work the same as they used to. My two favorite guns are Reegar and GPS, I have no idea why those 2 are shotguns though.

Shotguns are a weapon with a relatively high skill ceiling because they reward aggression and careful aim. A shotgun to the head of a shielded enemy will simultaneously break shield gate (important) while delivering massive headshot bonus damage -- taking out any one "regular" type enemy with a single shot on any difficulty, including Insanity.

With the right mods or power use, armor isn't a problem either.

Shotguns, like heavy pistols, can also be of great use to power-heavy classes: you only have time between power spamming to fire off a single shot (maybe two), so you're trying to maximize how much damage those shots do.
