Was thinking of buying on origin this time since the "physical" is just a code anyway. But then I noticed that the price for the regular edition was about $10 more expensive than the standard retail-price for PC games in Sweden. So an empty box it is. Here I thougt that buying direcly from EA would be the better deal

I preordered it from the psn store, the Super Deluxe Edition. I don't really buy discs anymore either, don't have the patience to wait for the games to arrive by post lol.

I don't buy discs anymore if I can help it, useless clutter is useless. Same for me. I don't need my limited living space cluttered with more pointless crap. Me too, just let be serious here, most people will not sell BioWare games after playing it, especially when/if it will be good, and then DLC's will start to come and we will have to buy the game again just to buy and play DLC's too.. Nope, digital all the way. Plus if MP will be similar to ME3MP, then we will never want to sell the game anyway

If it's a game I'm uncertain about, like a game I don't know if I might not like or not, then I'd want the disc version so I can potentially sell it afterwards but never with a Bioware game and with a mp game I KNOW I'm gonna keep lol.

I'm buying it on Origin - but something doesn't add up with the poll. You said "Steam", but BioWare said ME:A will NEVER go on Steam.

I will get the physical copy. I always prefer it that way and since I don't play on computer I have that option

Well if the damn discs still allowed you to just pop it in and go, I'd get it for console with a physical copy. However, since regardless of whether you have a disc or not, you still have to "download" the game and then install the game (and probably update too)... there's no point in physical copies for me unless I want to have a case lying around.
So I'll be doing MEA digitally on PC with origin (unfortunately, wish I could use steam =/)

Physical copies can be cheaper so I respect anyone making that choice. But for me, I got burned by the 'VHS Video collection' mentality, never again. (image is not mine, but I had many more than this back in the day). I do not need to possess a book to read it, to possess a movie to view it, to own a physical game box and disk to play it. And that suits me fine

I used to always buy discs, but really got tired of swapping them out (ahem.. ME3...). These days I buy digital copy. Will possibly buy a disc later on (when on super sale) for the sake of having one though.

Always physical, even with movies I buy I always buy the physical copy. It feels more like it's mine and with the future of games/movies moving towards primarily digital, I like having my own game/movie collection. Also you can share it, sell it if you don't want it anymore or give it to one of your friends.

Not everyone has the luxury of high-speed internet to download 50+ gigabyte files. If certain companies go under, the game may be removed from the marketplace as well. (i.e. Scott Pilgrim last gen.)

Digital. Definitely digital. Videos, books, DVDs, games, they're all the same. You buy one or two here and there, you don't cull them as much as you should, and as the decades pass the bloody things have a population explosion and now you're down a bedroom.

I would go digital but my other half is all about the physical copy and given that he usually ends up pre-ordering games and collecting them he gets to pick.
I only keep the boxes for games I am currently playing or love to bits and return to often on bookshelves in my study, all the others go in sealed plastic boxes and are stored in the basement forever and ever until the end of time.

Heh, I get the point, but for me it's less about the space and more that I'm kinda messy so I try to limit what I can misplace or generally create disorder with. Although if I added my 300 digital games to the physical ones, it would start adding up a bit...

Oh I don't wait for that, I redownload what I still want to play whenever I change computers, I don't transfer the damn things. Despite multiple instances of having done this I've never run into this problem, so I'm not filing it under mammoth risk. And oh the benefit of not having to store the bloody things. Now slightly skewering the physical copy plan, those I have lost to hardware failure on several occasions. They're bloody flimsy if you drop them. Or the cat decides to play with them. Guess what, you have to go find another copy to buy if you can. And sometimes you can't. Nope, give me this brave new world of digital copies because being lumbered with the physical and only the physical used to suck. And come to think of it, don't physical copies these days just make you toddle off and download most of it anyway?

From what I understand, discs mean it's faster to load stuff, and considering how big the game will be, I'll go with that.

Considering the physical copy just makes you download the game anyway with most games nowadays, I've been going digital with a lot of my game purchases. Actually just pre-ordered MEA on Origin. :3
