Perhaps, Bioware wants to prove they can also add a lot of interesting content to encounter on such large landmasses?

I mean sure it had amazing quests and side quests here and there don't get me wrong but I honestly found it to be more 'grindy' then DA I with those silly question marks.

Yes, but all of those were optional. Whenever you felt like it to explore/search for some goodies, you could find dozens of landmarks to explore. If you ignored them, you often weren't feeling like you are missing out on something. But, if you want exploring landmarks, there is plenty to find. This is a nice balance for all players.

But the same argument is made for Dragon Age. Most/ all of the content was optional. And I actually found it to be less optional in Witcher given you actually had to actively search those question marks if you wanted to get the best materials/ schematics/ recipies. At least to the best of my knowledge, I suppose I could be wrong, but the Trials and trevails of the advanced Tawny Owl seem to indicate the truthfullness of my claim.

Size and content are two different things. Exploring new words are nice but taking in the scenery only takes you so far. That's why it's important to read the article, since the devs have said that it's currently 50 minutes, but they are still tweaking it. They may shorten it to 30 minutes or lengthen it to 60 minutes based on what changes need to be made.

They may shorten it to 30 minutes or lengthen it to 60 minutes based on what changes need to be made. On the side note... its kinda intriguing how Bioware can still "play" with the planet sizes/map sizes at this very late stage of game developement. Its not like they are just toying with "sliders", they already must have locations/stuff to see/landmarks designed. I have a feeling, that playing with the size of the maps would just mess everything up/cram up all together/dilute way to much. But maybe this is just my unsupported concern...

As long as my Ryder can listen to some Ozzy, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, etc, while driving, I won't mind Sorry, they only packed Disco. Hope you like ABBA.

I'm just imagining the Nomad banter: "Liam! Keep your elbows on your side of the seat!" "Gah, who farted?" "Stop! I need to pee!" "Are we there yet?" "Don't make me turn this car around!" Actually the way I drive my companions would be like, "OMG! That's a cliff!" "Ooo... I feel sick." "Do we have to roll over every boulder in this planet!?!" I would love banter like this.

Ok wait....
Does that mean that we can circumnavigate (well...drive but still) the planet or are they talking about going from limit A of the map to limit b like a DAI map?

Hmm, so is this driving straight from the start of the map to the end? Or does this include stopping to explore landmarks & collect side-quests?

It could mean a lot of things. They could be tweaking the speed of the Nomad to make trips shorter or longer. They could just be moving structures and landmarks closer. Level design tools can scale and move objects/assets quite easily. It's not a complex task. Not to mention, that article came out on December 20, 2016. It's been almost a month since then. They could've already finished their tweaks and then some.
