Interesting. Geralt goes from no memory to recovering his memory. But we don't see the same things he sees or recovered. He says, "Ad they've got a navigator with them." as the Wild Hunt Teleports willy nilly in this cave. SO am I to believe he remembers all of his time with the Wild Hunt, at this point, that he recalls the terms they used for themselves? It's too bad I had to delay this replay. TW2 had me so up to date on who was who. Like I'm trying to recall if we even had much to do with Kiera outside of the very start of TW2.
I don't think Kiera is actually in W2?
As for memory, he has most of it back by the end of W2 but then apparently recovers the rest in between 2 and 3. Not sure exactly how much time passes between the two but it seems to be several months at least.

I don't think Kiera is actually in W2? She's Foltest's advisor, I thought we briefly met her? I may be remembering wrong. Foltest may just have referenced her as the Nagging Witch Advisor. All in all, though, I still feel this fondness for her.  Their arguing is much more my style, fussing at each other like that. |

Yes, but the important question is: Did you meet Corinne Tilly again?! Silly Smiles, of course I haven't. I'm hanging with Kiera before dealing with the depressing that is the Blood Baron's quests. I think I did Bloody Baron first last time, then Kiera. so I'm trying to switch it up slightly, the order. |

Keira isn't in TW2. As for the memory recall, I think they skimmed over it because they knew how many new players would be coming into TW3 and they didn't want to info dump. Really, Geralt should have been reeling from the trauma of regaining all of his memories. which he has in TW3. Even his time with the hunt.

Am I the only one who ever thought Roach's map symbol looked like a Fortune Cookie? Helped Kiera get her Magic Lamp. I so like her much better this go around. First time round, I found her flirting and fainting gag worthy but now I just find her cute.  I'm LVL 7 and broke for the most part. Focusing on bombs since that's a different way of playing than I did the last time. Although, still want to Axii my way through conversations to save money. Till next time  |

I don't remember this....is it a see-through bubble or one that makes it impossible to find anything to hit?
Kiera makes that protective shield that covers us both while you fight the Frost Dogs. It's used later too, elsewhere. I think it's just cool to see magic outside of battle mechanics. Although Its still battle mechanics... you know what I mean. |

Wait, what? That's all???  I've injured myself. As a non contibuting member of society, I will now be able to play video games daily until my doctor clears me to return to work. Can hardly cut vegetables, so can't even help round the house much. So will probably play again tomorrow. Kiera makes that protective shield that covers us both while you fight the Frost Dogs. This has been a pretty interesting thread. Sorry about your recent troubles, hope everything gets better soon. Do you intend to recruit Letho on this run? Despite everything he did in 2, I found him fascinating at times. Did you manage to read the entire massive thing? kudos. I do intend to recruit him. When I played the first time I didn't know him, and based on Witcher Code (my impression of it) alone, I decided I'd tell the Barber that I killed Letho. So he never appeared on my PT. But then I went back and played TW2 and now I just got so much respect for the guy for baby sitting a crazy sorceress and attempting to adapt to the changing political climes by attempting a deal with the Empire. so now he's alive in this game, and I look forward to hanging with him again. |

It's really interesting, because I know Kiera really irritated me the first timed I played TW3, then she wooed me, then I accidentally killed her. Now I'm just so darn fond of her, I can't remember what I found irritating about her. All the sorceresses want to bang Geralt, but she's the only one that tries to woo him first. I'm at the pellar, about to hustle the silly goat.  Edit Add: Although, gotta love the Roach joke at the end. |

Meh, it was just the barn. That's too funny, both games Ciri's room was like my first stop. First time, I was annoyed the Baron was playing games and hoped I could bypass him entirely if I'd found a clue there. |

And so the Family Matters quest really kicks in as I kick the Baron in the face both physically and emotionally. I was just very business like instead of empathizing like my first run.
I recall this being a super powerful part of the game for me. Additionally, the last time I played this, my mother in law was alive. And she watched me play this Mission and we talked about how amazing, deep, emotional this depiction of miscarriage, loss, with a background of abuse was. She had had misscarriages herself so I felt at the time, as I do now, that it made her a bit of an expert on the matter.
So this scene will have added weight for me as I think about the loss of my mother in law.
