DA Fan gives TW3 a shot: Text Based Let's Play

Well I hoped you told him the Triss doll he made for Tamara looks nothing like her.

The chest tempts me!

You have to get the doll from Tamara's room and tell him you think it is used for black magic.
Then he'll tell you he made the doll himself, because Tamara wanted a Triss Merigold doll and he couldn't afford one.
You can tell him how much it looks like her, or shoot him down, and say it looks nothing like her.

I apparently didn't get the doll the right way to insult the Baron about it. I'd already saved by the time I figured that out, so off I go.

I gave the doll to Tamara. you know, I don't blame her for not wanting to talk to her dad at all, but I still don't like her. Getting all up in the Eternal Fire's pants may be related. I used the dialogue that implied Geralt didn't like the Baron and didn't much like it. 

I kinda wih I could go straight to the DLC   There is so much game to go, and my expereince so far is the only thing that is going to change is...not much. Till I get to making the correct! decisions about the Baron's wife, Triss (whom I'm romancing) and Ciri (whom I'm making Empress this game)

I can't seem to help but want to investigate these question marks if they're on my path... I know, I should ignore 'em >_< or at least look up a guide to only do the things that will actually get me good loot.

It's on my BILs PS4? I think? I'd also lose the choices I made (keeping Letho alive, and this tattoo on my neck) and lose a chance at romancing Triss or seeing Ciri be empress.

Ciri as Empress just strikes me as depressing. Not only is she very not interested, she's a hothead of uber proportions. Those two things don't sound like a good combo when you're in charge of the whole world. Also, what good is her plane-traveling power when she's stuck on a throne?

Just collect and craft whichever Witcher gear set(s) strikes your fancy and never worry about loot again  

Ursine is IMHO the nicest, though it looks like you'd be sweating up a storm if you keep using it in Toussaint in Blood & Wine. This modded Griffin set comes as a close second when combined with another tweak to get rid of the lightbulb shape of the Griffin armors: www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1438

I love how simple and beat up it looks. Definitely looks like something I could see a veteran Witcher wading through endless swamps up to his knees in monster guts in. Like an armor that has seen plenty of actual use and isn't all bright colors and fancy shiny bits.

I...don't know, actually. But some of the enemies there would probably be too much for a low level Geralt anyway. I use either the Griffin or Cat sets until I go to Skellige even when I intend to eventually switch to full Ursine. The first tier of the Griffin set is the lowest level requirement set you can craft, and IIRC all the schematics are around Velen. The first tier of Cat armor comes a bit later and is mainly found (maybe completely? I can't remember 100%) in Novigrad.

So far the only clue that Gran is the Baron's Wife was her little whimsy worry about her two daughters. There is seriously no way I would have suspected the first game, I feel better bout that now ^^

I'm just trying stuff different from the last time I played. This is very likely the last time I'll ever play Witcher anything and want to see the content I've not seen. 

Do you ever get a bit lonely finding the dead belongings of all these Witchers? These mutated kids are a dying breed in a world that seems to need them :/
