DA Fan gives TW3 a shot: Text Based Let's Play

I didn't enjoy it. Why they would make a tourney so heavily based on crossbow skills when those skills are sort of broken, from my POV. Additionally, even the dummies were far too hard to slice, I definitely saw my sword going through them and nothing.

Then I am the sole survivor of the Melee portion but I lost anyway because I guess it's 2/3 *flips off the developers*

I went to talk to Regis, learned some more about Vampires. Geralt is off to find a Wight, possibly cursed. Supposedly extinct, it's a bummer to kill extinct animals.

He asked a difficult question of Geralt. If he were reborn would he choose to still be a Witcher. I recalled all the stories between Lambert and Geralt. How angry he was. How much sadness Geralt had seen himself. But in the end, if he hadn't been a Witcher, he wouldn't have had much of an effect on the world. Wouldn't have met Ciri, wouldn't have met all his friends, fallen in love. It was the choice between being a nobody who at best died of old age, vs a somebody living a few centuries and all the joy and heartbreak that comes through that.

SO I'd choose to be a Witcher all over again.

Well, I'd have to get know Regis more, but I really liked Iorveth and Roche forgiving Geralt for not siding with him and helping him in spite of it showed a lot of his character. So I'd definitely let those two be my bros.

You don't really need to do it to win the race either.
Providing you use the most basic bolts, if you just ride fast and hit every crossbow target (easy if you have the time slowing ability)
then the time added by hitting the targets is enough to win the race without even attempting to hit the dummies.
For some reason, enhanced or magic bolts don't give you the added race time.
If you want to hit the dummies, slow down to a walk and hit them, the extra time you gain will make up for the loss of speed, but on my last couple of times through, I have just gone with the crossbow.
Phoray, you could use that potion that allows you to redistribute your skills to give you the time slowing ability, it makes using the crossbow relatively easy.

The main quest kinda rolls you along from one bit to the next. So when I finally got off the train (supposed to meet Damien at midnight somewhere) I decided to go do more important things. Like Winning some fist fights, playing with the new skellige deck (SO MUCH GWENT), beating the tournament, and now doing a few quests I'm now over leveled for (lvl 44). Like! A statues balls have gone missing! I let the old man bang chicks for an extra day then handed them over for a reward.

now I'm sleepy. May be able to finish this tomorrow. I notice that this DLC is more like... a true continuation of the base game. Question marks, lots of lil witcher contracts, it's own brothel.

But Geralt doesn't correct anyone, and in one conversation even says something like. "Yennifer is my....friend." And he said it just the way someone was about to say Lover but then backed off.
